Small Progress

Sitting within his simple cultivation room, Lester sat in a lotus position with his eyes closed as he was surrounded by a faint blue aura as one meter in front of his chest an accumulation of qi floated in various different shapes and designs. Almost like strange calculations that complemented one another with the same output, it was an interesting sight as it enlarged and became smaller as he manipulated it. Beads of sweat appeared on his forehead as it was clear this was no easy feat.

He was currently working on a formation technique called [Enchantment] which allowed Lester to manipulate certain formations and combine them with one another, creating a chain reaction within them which when activated would affect the object in which it was enchanting, then manipulating the formation's size to complement the object. This allowed him to solve an issue humans currently faced, as he planned to enchant weapons and place them on the market or other forms of exchanges to further help with the progress of humanity.

He had currently been practicing two enchantments and thus far he had made good progress. One being [Sharpness Enchantment] and the other [Power Enchantment], which did as their names suggested. It made a weapon either sharper or more powerful. Both needed requirements though as the [Sharpness Enchantment] required the object to already have some form of sharpness, and the [Power Enchantment] required flat surfaces. These were the two easiest formation enchantments he possessed at the moment, and their simplicity allowed him to understand them better, especially as his understanding of formation grew each day.

In addition to these enchantments, Lester had also used his time on this brand new estate to use the training area's technology to simulate battles with other creatures. Although they weren't as strong as the penguins they were much stronger than creatures created by the previous training room from his last apartment. His battle skills had improved slightly, as he made a mental assurance to take each fight seriously.

Lester's cultivation didn't make any progress though as it remained one step away from the Rooted Core Realm. He wasn't too worried, it seemed as if the bottleneck was way too hard to break through at the moment, therefore, he was very excited to go exploring as he feels it might broaden his horizons and allow him to grow in strength allowing him to breakthrough.

As Lester slowly opened his eyes, the qi manipulations ahead of him slowly dissipated and so did the aura around his body. Standing up Lester looked around the beautiful cultivation room, from the natural light of the glass wall on three sides to the rug and mat on the floor, everything looked modern and polished. If the natural light outside was a bother he could simply press a button to allow the shade to come down and dim the room to his liking. He was truly comfortable with his new life.

"Money doesn't buy happiness… But… Maybe it does to an extent…" Although he had been a simple man, he couldn't help but acknowledge the privilege and security this life brought him.

Walking out of the room Lester was in deep thought.

Lester wasn't the only entity that had experienced many changes as the world was changing as well. Lester noticed a few names added to the Exploration Team after he became one. He was aware of one of them but nothing too abnormal.

Lester had been keeping up with Patrick as he was already a Late-Stage Cultivator and making quick progress. Holyman who had made a complete rebranding changing his name to Rising Sun and wearing a simpler robe as opposed to the previous outfit which closely resembled a priest of some sorts had also made great progress with his new cultivation technique, [Sunlight Acquisition] becoming one step away from being a Late-Stage Cultivator.

These were exciting news as soon they could join him with the Exploration Team.

Lester had also received an invitation from the Cultivation Island happening in a year. Items for auction were currently being acquired and for a few months, cultivators would be allowed to place items in the auction as well. This further solidified his desire to progress in [Enchantment] to place some of these up for auction. He wished to exchange them not for contribution or money but rather artifacts of alien technology. Within the ship, there were bound to be some goodies and he really wanted to study them.

He was also enjoying the contributions cultivators were placing into the market and other Cultivation Island resources as there had seemed to be a fire set within the hearts of these people. New items were being placed daily, from simple cultivation resources such as the Wild Latvian Grass, which allowed a cultivator still fill their core, cultivating a wooden or earth influenced technique or cultivation to gain a little more power. And to more monster cores, as the prices were slowly beginning to find a certain level that met the demand to a certain extent. There were still some price ranges to work out, however, Lester knew that over time things would just be set in place.

Lester walked towards the shower as his body was filthy with sweat. On his way there he grabbed an apple and bit down on it, making the sound of the bite echo through the large residence.

His phone vibrated as he walked as he received a notification stating that the Meeting grounds for the meeting have been sent to all of the Exploration Team's members and it would begin soon.

Lester acknowledge the notification and proceeded to the spacious bathroom as he was focused and slightly anxious. He still had some time to prepare.
