Chapter 33 - Until Next Time?

"Sh*t!"

A curse came out of the worker's mouth inadvertently, successfully attracting our attention.

"Why are you cursing? Did something happen?"

Laheeb yelled at the worker from below.

The worker looked at the stick in his hand, specifically the paste on the end that changed its color. Then he looked at his boss' son standing with the customers.

Considering that there are outsiders besides Laheeb, he didn't dare to reveal the truth, so he yelled back,

"Sorry boss! I almost slipped!"

Healing the work of response, Laheeb had a hopeless expression while shaking his head. You have been working here for how many years and you can still slip?

The worker had some brains, he wanted to inform Laheeb without alarming the customer so he yelled,

"Boss! I need some help here! Can you come and hold the lid for a moment?"

Laheeb had an incredulous look! Since when did the dignified boss' son have to help the workers to do their jobs!

However, they quickly realized that there's something wrong, they don't lack employees, so the worker won't ask him for help unless…..

His eyes widened for a second, then he quickly collected himself and acted as if he was annoyed with the worker, so that we don't notice,

"What a drag! Guys, you wait here for a second, I will help him quickly."

Then he trotted to the elevated platform.

He thought none of us had noticed his abnormality, however, I did. Then I looked at Adam and Walid and said in a low voice,

"See? There should be a problem with the fuel!"

They looked at me with some uncertainty while Salem at the side looked confused.

"What problem?"

He asked.

"I will tell you later, all you have to know is that the fuel is mixed with water."

I replied in a serious tone while keeping my eyes on the interaction between Laheeb and the worker. Even though I couldn't hear what they were saying, I could still get the jest of it by looking at their expression.

"Tell me what's going on, why did you call me!?"

Laheeb reached the worker and asked in a low voice as he tried to maintain a normal expression.

"Boss! take a look at this!"

The worker pointed at the end of the stick. When Laheeb looked at it his face turned pale from fright.

"F*ck me! How could this happen!?"

Then as if thinking of something, his originally pale face turned it into a red scrunchy face, it looked as if he swallowed a fly.

"That F*cker! He dares to do it!"

Laheeb cursed with gritted teeth, clenched fist, looking like an angry bird.

"My name isn't Laheeb if you stay in this place for an extra day!" (A/N: a classic line.)

Then he turned to the worker with a hideous face, gave him his identity card, and commended,

"You are going to do two things for me. First, you will take my card and bring two guards with their weapons. I want everyone who worked on this truck in one place, I will deal with them later!"

"Second, find me another truck that is full of fuel with the same amount as this one, doesn't matter if it is to be delivered to someone else, let them wait."

The worker didn't dare to open his mouth, he knows that the people working on this truck are out of luck. Taking the card, he went down quickly to do the job.

Laheeb took a couple of deep breaths, then went down the platform and came toward us with an apologetic smile on his face.

"Sorry about that, there seems to be a problem with the tank of this truck. Another truck with the same load will be ready in minutes."

My friends looked at me with faces full of surprise, then their faces returned to normal, with a little bit of excitement and anger hidden under the surface.

Excited were Adam and Walid, because they knew about my 'superpower', while the angry one was Salem, who still didn't know yet, he was thinking about how they were almost cheated a big time.

"Oh! Is that so? In this truck with another truck, I want to make a difference. However, I am curious what the problem is with this one?"

I asked him calmly while pointing at the truck in front of us.

He flinched a little then replied with the same apologetic smile.

"The water filter seems to be broken, some water ended up settling at the bottom of the tank."

Although he didn't say how much the 'some water' was in the tank, it finally confirmed that I'm not hallucinating.

I don't know how to feel right now. If it was in normal times, I would blow up on the spot and start a fight with the f*ckers. However, I was excited by the prospect of me having a system, and Laheeb didn't look like he did it intentionally.

For some reason, his cousin Sam came to my mind. considering his previous behavior, I couldn't help but doubt him.

"Thankfully we found it in time at Walid's suggestion!"

I said with a smile while looking at Walid with a meaningful look, which he understood as me wanting to end this matter.

"Hahaha! Guys don't look at me like that, I will blush."

Walid said with a laugh, changing the previously strange atmosphere to a merry one.

"Yikes! Who would look at your ugly mug!?"

"Wasn't it your father's reminder? You are just taking credit."

"Hahaha!"

We kept on joking around for some time, with Laheeb joining us, albeit less enthusiastically than before, you could see that there was something else on his mind. He was looking around constantly as if waiting for someone to come.

We noticed his behavior and could ask him directly, however, there was nothing we could do even if we immerse him. So it's better to keep the relationship between us in harmony.

In another 5 minutes the same worker came back, he came beside Laheeb and whispered in his ears. Laheeb gave him a nod and the worker went away. Then he looked at us with an apologetic smile.

"The fuel truck is ready to go, this time they made sure there was no problem."

I patted him on the shoulder with a meaningful smile on my face and said,

"You Don't have to think about it too much, no one doesn't make mistakes. Nevertheless, you have to make sure the same mistakes don't happen twice."

His smile decreased a little, however, he quickly resumed his smile and nodded in agreement.

"You are right, the same mistake won't happen twice."

I looked at Walid and told him.

"You will drive the truck this time, Salem will accompany you. I and Adam will drive the car and lead in the front."

"That's okay!"

"It's fine."

They expressed their agreement, and nobody had any problem.

Walid and Salem hopped in the truck, while Laheeb accompanied us to the car.

"I'm really sorry for this time. There was some accident."

After getting in the car Laheeb, standing beside the car, apologized again. I waved my hand at him.

"You don't have to worry, nobody lost anything in the end. We will see you later, until next time!"

Then I drove the car backward, ready to go. Walid saw me move the car and started the truck engine ready to follow.

"Until next time!"

Laheeb shouted with a smile, then didn't wait for us to drive away before turning back to the office building. His smiling expression morphed into a cold one, his face becoming colder with each step.
