Chapter 3 - It Is Back! RUN!

"Ahhhh…"

"Quickly RUN RUN!.."

"GET OUT OF MY WAY!"

"NO, YOU GET OUT!"

"Hurry hurry! Don't waste time…"

"Any one getting in the way will taste the taste of my hard knuckles"

"Hahahaha! finally!"

The whole family started running while yelling except for the father and mother.

No, it is not the end of the world yet. The electricity just got back on. Only people how experienced living in places with electricity rationing will understand the joy, the joy of having electricity that has become a basic need for people in the 21st century, yet it's still not available to everyone.

"Quickly put your phones on the charger!"

"Who took my charger dam* it!"

"Dad took it."

"'*_*' forget about it."

"Laith, don't forget to turn on the water pump, the water tank is almost empty unless you want to experience 24 hours with no water."

"Okay dad."

Laith, the 'Young Man' replied. Having no electricity is not the hardest thing to endure, it is having no water to wash, bathe and drink.

'Lucky we have our own well in this building, if we were to depend on the country's water plant, we will have to ration water like everyone else.'

Thought Laith in his mind while turning on the water pump.

'Let's put the phone on the charger, the phone has been off all day long. I wonder what the crew has been talking about in my absence.'

After everyone in the family was done with his task, they all went back to the dinner table. The dinner has not finished yet. However, this time with the AC on, the dinner is much more enjoyable. Laith was even more joyous than the rest of his family because it is his favorite dish today and because he had escaped his father's nagging about finding a job. Hurray! Double Joy!

When the dinner is done, it was the boys' turn to wash the dishes today.

"Mom we are busy let Juri and Leya Do it."

"Yes, we have to go to Sam's house."

"Don't even dream about it!"

"Dad Saif and Sinan are running away again!"

As always, the twin wanted to escape from house duty.

"Ahhh! Let go! Let go!"

"My ear! You're going to pull it off!"

They have barely run a step or two. Only to be caught by Laith by their ears.

"Lovely Lovely! Do you want to leave all the work for me? You know that it's boy's day to do the dishes no matter what. If you were to escape I will have to do three times the work!"

"Yes! We were saying to leave the dishes to us!"

"Hoho! Is that so?"

The twins broke out in cold sweat while trembling! Every time Laith gives them this smile, what follows is nothing good.

"Then run for me!"

Saif and Sinan yelled while running away. The rest of the family laughed at them, as this is a usual scene in this house.

When Laith was going back to his room to check his phone he felt a chill on his back. Turning around he saw his mother looking at him. Certainly, no need to say anything he immediately understood what she wanted to say and went to help the twins clean the table and do the dishes.

"Hahaha! See I told you he will come."

"Hehehe."

The twins laughed at their bother. Nevertheless, this laugh did not last for long after they saw the smile on Laith's face.

"Hoho! Keep on laughing why did you stop?"

"We didn't laugh! You heard it wrong!"

"It's Saif!"

Saif looked at his twin brother with a look of betrayal.

"How could you betray me?"

"Sorry bother, it's time for you to go on your way to heaven. Say hello to Grandpa and grandma over there."

Saif got angry and proceeded with the beating.

"You little sh*t! Taste my uppercut."

Said Saif while delivering a kick which was hurriedly avoided by Sinan.

"Hehehe. I know all you tricks there is no use, you can't beat me."

The twins were about to start a mock battle.

"Little brats, stop pretending and hurry up, or I'm going to beat the sh*t out of you both!"

Laith knew that the twins were only pretending, hoping to escape from doing the after-dinner chores.

""Sheeh!""

The battle with dishes lasted for half an hour of grueling effort.

"Leave quickly while the electricity is still on. Unless you don't want to take the elevator and feel like going up to the 9th floor using the stairs."

Said Laith's mother after checking the work done by the boys.

"Okay! Bye!"

Hearing their mother permit them to leave, the twin run away immediately, afraid they will be asked to do another chore.

"Your Majesty the Queen. Would you grant this humble servant of yours the permission to leave?"

Said Laith to his mother pretentiously.

"Permission granted.", she replies while rolling her eyes at him.

"Don't forget the Ice Cream, take a cone with you."

"Ok"

Back in his room Laith Laid on his back in the bed eating Ice Cream under the cool air from the AC while turning on his phone.

"Finally!"

The phone started ringing as soon as the network got connected.
