Chapter 04: Grace Anderson

Logan comes out from the club and sees Hunter in the backseat smoking. "I deleted the footage sir" Hunter didn't even glaze at him.

"Look for that woman I want the result as soon as possible" Hunter coldly said. Logan nodded his head and step into the driver's seat and left the club.

At the backseat of the taxi, Grace pressed her hand against her chest that still beating fast. It's a good thing that she left that place as soon as possible. The scene from earlier keeps repeating in her head, she touches her lips and frowns.

"That was my first kiss. That asshole" She mumbles angrily.

As soon as she successfully sneaks back to her room she immediately takes a shower then brushes her mouth a couple of times making sure that his taste was gone. As she steps out of the bathroom wearing her white nightgown, she was drying her hair with a towel when she heard a know from her door.

"Come in" She called out.

She looks up to see Brian step inside the room.

"I thought you will be sleeping by now," Brian said in his gentle tone of voice. She sat down at the edge of the bed and Brian walk closer to her take the towel from her and help her dry her long hair.

"Well, it's a good thing that you are awake I need to tell you something" Brian sat down beside her while still drying her hair.

"What is it?" She looks at him and smiles softly.

"I need to be away for a couple of weeks for business in Europe, do you want to come with me?" Brian brushes her hair behind her ear as he stares into her eyes with so much gentleness.

"As much as I want to, I have my finals next week I can't come" Grace bite her bottom lip she wanted to go to Europe as it's her dream country.

"Well, I can arrange for you to get a special exam when we get back if you want?" Brian said knowing that she wanted to go but can't.

Grace shook her head as she doesn't want to use his power to take advantage of her studies. "No, I don't want that Brian"

"Are you sure you don't want to go?" He asked one more time cause he can make everything happen for hers but he wants to respect her decision.

She nodded her head looking at him with a soft smile. "Yes, besides I can go there next time right?"

"Of course I'll take you there next time" Brian smiles then gently patted her head. "Now go sleep, you still need to take me to the airport tomorrow morning" He stood up and plant a soft peck on her forehead.

"Good night Grace"

"Good night Brian"

Hunter was in his study still working on some papers when Logan walk inside and place the table on the table, Hunter didn't glaze up at him. Logan look at the young man smoking his tobacco while working.

"The girl's name is Grace Anderson, the only living member of the Anderson. She is 25 years old and she's in her final year at the University of California" Logan starts his report looking at the man from time to time to see his reaction.

"After she becomes an orphan the Old Carter took her in to fulfill his promise to his friend" Hunter cook an eyebrow and finally look at the table on the table with all the information about the woman along with a couple of her pictures.

"After Old Carter retired and decided to travel around the world. Brian Carter took the responsibility to be the guardian of Miss Anderson" Logan continued.

Hunter takes the tablet and look at the image of Grace and subconsciously touch his lips as the scene from the earlier play in her head once again.

"She really has guts huh" He mumble thinking of her action after they kiss. He can still taste her sweetness, thinking about her soft pink lips makes him want to have some more.

Logan stared at the man and caught him smiling for the first time blinking a couple of times thinking that he probably hallucinating or something.

"You can leave now" Hunter look at him coldly once again and put down the tablet. Logan nodded her head and was about to take the tablet but got stopped by Hunter. "Leave it" Logan nodded and left the study room.
