Another world: Family

(note: this will be an occurring storyline, it's entirely different and isn't canon in the slightest, it's just a fair visual of what would've happened to the people if they were born in real life, I predict that these will be frequent and if you don't want to read these then you don't have to it's just a way to see a different side of things. )

it's been 10 years ever since Osiria was born. she's taken a lot of Naoya's personality

but she has inherited my physical stature... It's cute but I couldn't say I'm sad that she's just like her father...

Our friend... Kirin... died on a school trip, about 12 years or so... I might say that I had fallen for him from the past but... all I could only say right now is I wish he is still alive... so he could see what happened to his friends... Mei returned to china to inherit her family business and Theia is now working as a president of a company. Osiria gets to see them occasionally too, I just wish she could see us from the past...

"Mommy... can I?"

"haha... of course, go have fun but ask for your father too"

Osiria's a lone child, she has no other siblings and her father is a military soldier, she could see her frequently on his break or when he's home but his time when he's on break is too short for Osiria, I just hope she still believes in her father even if he's not there to support her...

Osiria may be like that but she's a smart kid, smarter than any kid around her age but I'm just afraid that she would detest her father...

"Liliya, I'm home"

"Naoya! you're back!"

"Papa"

Osiria hugs her Father... I guess my worries are for naught...

"I got some visitors today"

stepping inside, he reveals the visitors in his back. It's Mei and Theia

"yo, mind if we barge in?"

"Mei! Theia! what're you all doing here?"

Mei's currently on vacation while Theia is on her way home for the weekend, they just somehow bumped each other on the way here.

"is this Little Lily? she's cute!"

"you two didn't tell us you were pregnant by the time you were giving birth so we weren't prepared to give you two gifts"

"C'mon Mei... we were planning to surprise you two..."

"haahhh... well, we can really talk about that like it can be changed, anyhow, how's Little Lily? is she coping with her father?"

Naoya just changed and responded in my stead

"compared to the other children around her age, she's quite smart and understanding, of course, I still give her the love and support I can give when I'm at home so that's a given but it still worries me if she's lonely when I'm not around"

"no... I'm fine when papa isn't here... I understand and mommy is with me so I'm okay"

with a heart struck expression, Theia immediately hugged her as hard she can

"ohh! come on you can be selfish in front of your parents! you're so cute I feel like I want a child like you!"

all of us laugh and Theia let go immediately. we sit on the sofa in the living room and both me and Osiria prepare tea for them

"I'll take a hot chocolate as always, what about you Mei?"

"tea, or maybe hot coffee..."

"Sorry, I already prepared the tea, here Naoya, brown coffee as always. and for Theia, hot chocolate with extra milk in it"

"fuu~ you still know what I like"

"and for my daughter, milk with honey in it"

Osiria takes hers and sits down beside me

"so? what brings you two here?"

"Nothing much, we just wanted to visit and see your daughter face to face, I've been dying to meet her finally without that damned screen blocking me"

"I was just visiting and Rin reminded me that I need to meet you all someday, oh if you're concerned about her she's working hard for the company, both of our companies are in a great relationship and since mine's inherited and has a great past, we're supporting Theia's as much as we can"

"yeah, but I do have some report but I think most of it is harmless, although if some things do happen that might hurt both of us in the future then I'll send in everything via PM"

"...Please spare us with your business talk, look, Osiria's looking at air"

"a-ahh... sorry, we didn't come here for that, actually we bought some gifts before meeting Naoya"

some dresses, toys, and gadgets were handed to her, there were also some gifts for us of course but the amount of gifts isn't comparable

we all chatted for a bit and Theia began to play with Osiria, there was also an app inside Osiria's Tablet which was given as a gift and it immediately connected with Rin's phone which in turn called Rin and Rin's face was already in the camera, talking with Osiria.

across the table with me and Naoya is Mei still enjoying the scene of Osiria having fun with the others.

"once again, I'm sorry for coming here without informing you two"

"no! It's great to see you again though, I still do remember when we were all children and were having fun like Osiria is right now"

Naoya heads to where Osiria is, leaving both me and Mei with each other

"so... are you still recovering? I know it's traumatic to see one of your friends die for you but I do hope you're fine"

"haha... I wouldn't say that I'm not recovering anymore but I am somewhat fine..."

"still, don't act like that when you're around her... she's still innocent so I recommend not doing anything concerning"

"don't think I don't know that Mei... but still... you're right..."

the afternoon went by and Theia heads back to her home leaving Mei behind

"hmm? you still have something to do Mei?"

"no, I'm just relaxing for a bit, I'll probably crash here for around a week and don't worry, I'll provide my own so I won't leech from the two of you"

well... at least she's thoughtful

a few days go by without any problems, Osiria was having fun with Mei and Mei was escorting her to her school, even telling me what Mei was doing, Theia was visiting frequently compared to last time but it was because she was heading home and always took a detour to come and see Osiria.

the whole week was Osiria's most fun week yet, although her expression is seemingly the same, I can tell since I am her mother. it's time for Mei's departure so we escorted her to the airport, and we met Rin right in the entrance

"so this is little Lily? I finally get to see her in person! she's so cute. Mei! why didn't you inform me that you were going to visit them!? I could've joined you"

"well, it was all too sudden so I rescheduled everything to compensate"

"wait, Mei, I thought you were visiting"

"what!? Mei, I know you're the president of a leading trade company but seriously, try to realize that you're always busy"

Rin's scolding took on for minutes and finally left, Osiria was waving in the glass where Rin and Mei was and we head back home

"mommy... will we see them again?"

"I'm sure you will. here, I'll help you with that"

the long and bustling city was packed as always and Osiria held my hand as hard as she can. by the time I return to our home, I get a glimpse of Kirin's smile then disappeared momentarily...

"mother? you're crying?"

"*sniff* a-ahh, sorry, this is nothing, mommy's just remembered a friend..."

I kneeled down to affirm Osiria but she hugged me with my tearing face

"don't worry mommy... I'm here... papa will come home soon..."

"haha... I don't even know who's the child anymore..."

I wipe down the tears and prepared for dinner, Osiria was calm and collected as ever and she's even comforting me...

"Dinner's ready Osiria!"

"coming!"

this calm... peaceful life... how long will it stay like this?... Kirin... are you at peace?
