Mixed thoughts and Feelings

The clock chimed like an old grandfather clock which annoyed him to death. The chime was an indication of him dragging himself to face summer again.

'I wish this summer to end; he annoyingly told himself like he had another voice in his head, talking to him like a lunatic. The heat also trickled his skin even though its still morning. Looking at the curtains drawn to soak up the evening stars yesterday, and hating the whole part of it now that the sun was teaming up with his blanket wrapped up in his entire body.

Groaning with the displeasure of his morning, he took off outside of his bedroom and was greeted by the aroma downstairs. It was a reminder that he didn't live by himself this irritating month.

he carefully got down with his blanket still on him, not even caring it might ruin it, dragging his body to the kitchen where he was smothered by the aroma of his favorite breakfast meal; pancakes.

"Good morning dum dum," she shifted, ruffling his hair as he sat near the sizzling hot pancakes, not even knowing it was dangerous. but luckily, her auntie lifted him and propped him onto the right table this time. Grumbling his answer, "Good morning," rubbing off his eyes, and when opening them he saw a... blob?

Squinting his eyes even more at the very blob he saw at the bottom of the table.

He reminiscences the blob.. the white and black blob that had no eyes, only two long lines that curved without a mouth. It didn't terrify him, more or less it fascinated Clay. But it worried him that his Auntie saw this blob of a creature at the bottom of the table.

Thankfully his Auntie was more or less busy cooking breakfast and humming through the morning music she put onto the radio.

He took his blanket that was still tangled into his body and put it into the blob, wrapping his entire body and asking his Auntie to excuse himself, "Auntie, I need to go to the bathroom," he said, but his Auntie didn't seem to mind him behind the countertop, and so he rushed upstairs hugging this very blob into his room unwrapping it again once the doors were closed.

"What are you?" he asked the blob, which in response just jiggled up and down and rubbed his whole body to his face. Clay giggled and asked again, "No really what are you?" the blob bounced and bounced to the mattress and jumped down, running to the door and outside. Clay responded with a worried face as he followed the little blob jumping around trying to grab him. "H-Hey!" stumbling with his steps as he looked at the blob again, going inside his... father's studies..?

This confused him even more so, getting up and carefully pulling his weight up and going to his Father's studies to look and ask the blob, even if it doesn't tell him anything, to answer why the creature was flopping around in that room.

Clay opened the door and burrowed his eyebrows, guessing as to what was up to the blob. "There's nothing here," he said to the blob, to which the blob responds by going to the desk and knocking over his Father's picture. Good, respond to him that he captured it immediately not knowing why the blob knocked it over. He rose, still looking confused, and asked again, "Father? what's up with him?" the creature flopped and jumped like a blob... was excited to see his Father's picture. Clay smiled weakly, "he's not here, unfortunately. He's away along with Mother." the blob whimpered like it already knew what he said.

At the same time he said those, his Auntie called him downstairs telling him to eat. "Dum dum! Pancakes are ready!" she called. He responded with, "I'm coming!" shouting. He worried the blob would just jump away and ignore his nagging voice to stay put, so he asked for another way to put the blob in here for a little while. "Just, stay here alright? If you do, I'll ask Father to get you here." just mentioning his Father made the blob jump over and over again. Thank the stars above that the creature didn't leave any messy slimy substances lying around or his Auntie will know something is up.

The creature stood still on the wiggly chair his Father had bought since they set foot into their new home and waited there. Clay breathe a sigh of relief knowing that the creature was tamed slightly. But only to the whims of his Father's name.

With a heavy sigh, he was worried to his very core. "What is even going on..." with mixed thoughts in his mind, heading downstairs to eat and maybe deal with the blob.
