31 Chapter 31: A Painful Returns!

Later on, Delilah awake. She finally regained consciousness. When she was awake, she has tears in her eyes. Before that, in her sleep, she has a dream about Dylan. Inside her dreams, the shadow of Dylan has faded away far from her. She tried to hold him tightly but he was getting further and further away from her.

She looks around at her room but... he still not in there.

Then, Rebecca comes into her room and checking her condition. She takes a seat on the chair beside her. Delilah looks at her with dim eyes. She just hopes that Rebecca will tell her about Dylan.

But, when she saw that she just come in with silence, it meant that Dylan's news had not yet been found yet.

"Delilah... are you okay? Did you feel better?" She softly stroke her hair. Delilah slowly shook her head. She has tears in her eyes.

"I have to go out to find Dylan..."

"Leah...calm down...I believe that he is safe..."

"I need to see him with my eyes..."

"Delilah...you have to be strong. We still have a mission that we yet to accomplish. We promise to together fight this war."

She silent for a while and said, "Mrs. Rebecca... did something happen to him? What actually happens? Why I feel that after we do the transferring... he looks different...I know that he tried to hide it from me. I can't understand."

"Leah... actually... we very rarely to do the power transfer among us because... it will cause harm either one of you two. I not sure what will happen, but, the one who gave his power more likely to take that effect."

"Do you mean... Dylan will get that effection?? What will happen to him??

Rebecca takes deep breathing and sighing. She feels guilty to tell her but... she thinks that Delilah had to know the truth about the effect on Dylan.

"Mrs. Rebecca... it's okay, you can tell me the truth. I can handle it. I can control my emotion. Whatever it is... I have to know what happened to him. After all, I will find a way to make him better again if something happens to him.''

''I know that you worried about him too. I understand it. But, believe me...I will do anything to make him better.'' Delilah added. She looks into Rebebcaa's face. She knows that she still hesitates to tell her the truth.

Delilah slowly reached her hand and hold it warmly.

"I think... Dylan was lost his...!" Rebecca can't finish her words when Emma barge in and said something that makes them surprised.

"Leah!! Mrs. Rebecca!! Dylan has come back. He at down there."

Both Delilah and Rebecca were shocked to hear that and at the same time, they felt happy. They hurriedly going out of the room and going down to meet him.

Even though Delilah still a little weak, she forces herself to go down there to meet him. As soon as they reached down there, Rebecca directly goes to hug him. All of them feel relief after saw Dylan has come back.

But, they saw a little difference with Dylan's figure. He looks tougher and he looks better like there is nothing wrong with him. Abner and Emma look through him carefully as they can't believe that he looks fine.

Before this, Dylan looked so weak, and right now, he looks like nothing happened to him. He looks like a new person. They keep asking him about what happened but he just smiles. ''Dylan? Are you okay?'' Abner asks curiously.

''I'm fine, friend! Why you look at me like that?''

''Are you sure? Do you know who I am?''

''Of course! You are Abner.''

Abner was relieved after he knows who is him. ''Did you know her?'' Abner pointed towards Rebecca.

''Yeah, she is my mother.''

''And what about them? Did you know them too?'' He pointed to the other. They just stand there in a puzzle while waiting for Dylan to said their name.

''Yeah, she is Emma...Oliver and Deborah. Why are you asking me that?''

''Wait, I need to show you to someone. Did you know her too?'' For this time, Abner pointed out Delilah.

From earlier, Delilah just standing between the wall. She just keeps quiet there as she just observes him from there. For the first time, Dylan has not realized her presence. At that moment...she can feel that...Dylan has changed.

She still in a puzzle. She didn't know why he didn't notice her from the start. Delilah was confused at that time.

Dylan turns his way face to look at Delilah. He stares at her for a second. He tried to say her name but he can't. He silences for a while and he moves his walk closer to her.

All of them were astonished by his behaviors except Abner and Rebecca. The other doesn't know why Dylan didn't know Delilah and only Abner and Rebecca know the reason why he didn't know about her.

''Abner...why he look strange? Dont he knows Delilah? What happened?'' Emma whispering to Abner.

''He lost it,'' Abner replied. Emma was in a puzzle.

Dylan stands closer in front of Delilah and gazes at her. Then, he said, '' Who are you?''

Delilah was startled. She confused why he asking who she is. ''Dylan...are you joking right now?''

''No, I really didn't know who you are. Do you know me? I guess you know as you know my name.''

Delilah was speechless. She takes a look at Rebecca as she wondering. Rebecca comes closer to them. ''Dylan...are you really didn't know Delilah?''

''Delilah?? Is she Delilah Leah?''

''Yes, you right. She is. So, did you know her now?''

''No. I really didn't know her. I just remember her name because...I have a letter written that I must not forget about someone name Delilah Leah. I just confuse. I didn't understand it.''

After hearing that words from him, Delilah was disappointed. She cant believe that Dylan doesn't know her and even can't remember her. Her tears slowly fell down.

''Dylan...can you recall back? Did you really don't know who is Delilah?'' Abner added.

''I really didn't know her. Why are you all keep asking me about that? And why I must know about her? I was confused right now!'' He raises his voice.

''I don't really know what actually happened to me. I just know that I was in somewhere and I just got to know the way back home here.''

''But she is a really important person to you! You have to remember her!'' Abner replied in anger.

''Mom, can you tell me why I need to remember about her? I just don't know her and I think that I don't want to bother myself to remember about someone I don't even know.''

''Dylan, calm down. Abner...you too. I will explain it to Dylan gradually. He must be only lost his memories with Delilah only. We will fix it later.''

''Dylan...actually...!'' Rebecca cant finish her word when Delilah stops her from talking.

''Mrs. Rebecca...! Stop. Just stop. There no need to explain...just let him be...'' Delilah said it in a trembling voice. She didn't know how to say it anymore and she walks away from there.

Before that, she takes a glance at Dylan, and he also looks into her eyes. Then, she walks past him and walks out of that house. She going out to give a space with herself.

Rebecca asks Abner to go accompany her when she saw Delilah just left out from there without a word. She knows that she must be in grief right now. Without wasting time, Abner follows her from the back.

At that moment, Delilah just walking alone outside. She just keeps walking near the empty road that night. She was hurt when the time he heard that he doesn't even know her. Her heart really in pain when he questions her. She walking alone there while shed tears.

She noticed that Abner followed her from behind. She asks him to go back and let her alone. Abner didn't want to go and he still insists want to accompany her there.

''Abner...please...! Just let me alone.''

''Leah...please don't be like this. I know that Dylan will remember you one day. Just give him time.''

''So, you did know too about his memories lost...I really disappointed in you, Abner!''

''Leah, I don't mean to keep this secret from you. But he asks me to keep it from you. He said that he will find a way to solve this problem.''

''Abner...you better leave me alone. I need my own space right now...''

''Okay-okay...I go. But please...please come back home when you have done. Leah...I'm sorry...'' Abner said and he left her alone there. He feels guilty after saw her like that.

And just like that...Delilah pensively sitting alone on the side of the road. She cries out of heart there.

At the same time, not far from there, Dylan was secretly standing opposite of the road that Delilah be. He actually secretly follow her from the back after Abner left her there. He still didn't know what happened, but...he just follows what his heart really lead him to do.

When looking at her crying like that, his heart was in hurt too. He wants to go closer to her but...he was confused with his own. He tried to remember her but his head will be in pain. He really didn't know her but from the bottom of his heart...he was hurt whenever he saw her.
