While Moody and Tonks were having their talk, Oz was heading back towards the floo network to head back to Hogwarts.

As he entered the main foyer, he took a seat down on a wall nearby the water fountain just to relax himself for a bit before he had to go back. As he was looking around the ministry he noted two individuals that had just arrived via the floo network together. These two individuals were both people Oz knew well.

'Lucius Malfoy and Cornelius Fudge... did their dealings span back this far? Its only the first year in Harry's canon...'.

As Oz was pondering he noticed that Lucius locked eyes on him and nudged Fudge afterwards. Fudge then looked towards Oz location with a slight look of glee on his face. Oz then realised what was about to happen.

The duo walked immediately over to Oz, approaching him with smiles on their faces. Lucius Malfoy was the first to speak.

"I've heard about you from my son... You're Oz Ambrosius correct? the descendant of Merlin? Its a pleasure to meet you, I'm Lucius Malfoy".

Oz snorted at his comment and simply gave a nod, completely ignoring lucius' outstretched arm trying to shake hands. Fudge then immediately intervened right after.

"Ah! So you're the legendary descendant thats been passed around as news here! Its a pleasure to meet someone of such an established lineage, my names Cornelius Fudge. The minister for magic here of course".

Oz stood up from his seat on the wall to get a better look at both of these men. Both in his eyes were cowards, sheep's in wolfs clothing.

"So you're Lucius Malfoy... You heard of my identity through your son apparently right?".

Lucius blinked harshly a few times before continuing.

"Why yes... he talks about how intelligent you are in school and how you bring the Slytherin household up a few notches".

'This guy is just spouting obvious lies at this point...'.

As Oz was about to respond he thought he sensed something faint, another magical signature nearby or something. As he focused his eyes for a second he noticed something clung onto Fudge's shoulder.

'A Dung Beetle... and it has a magical signature'.

Seeing this Oz's straight face turned into a cold grin.

"So Lucius you heard of me from your boy Malfoy then? Strange... in school he broadcasted to the common room that you had bought my identity from the goblins with a dark artefact. I wonder if you can explain that?".

Hearing this Lucius's face paled. It was clear to Oz at this point that Malfoy had managed to stop the information of his outburst from reaching his father. He looked at Fudge who was now wearing a concerned face looking at Lucius.

"I-I-I... No such thing happened Ambrosius! Why would I lower myself to do such a thing?".

Oz looked at Lucius deeply before smirking.

"Oh really? I'm sure those goblins would have something to say on that... do you consider dealings with goblins to be lowly? dealings that involve essentially prying into my privacy?".

Lucius at this point started to show a visible panic and anger on his face.

"I-If you will excuse me Cornelius and Ambrosius, I have a meeting to attend to..."

At that, Lucius darted off into the ministry leaving Fudge and Oz alone. Oz again checked Fudge's shoulder to see that a certain dung beetle was still hitching a ride. Looking at Fudge, Oz decided to talk.

"What a shallow man that Lucius is... Say Fudge, do you mind me asking a question to you?".

Fudge swung around at Oz's inquiry, putting on a comfortable smile.

"Of course my boy! ask away! It would be my pleasure to help out the famous Descendant of Merlin!".

Oz let off a sly smile as he spoke.

"As I'm aware, the ministry once held Merlin's tome that they in turn gave to Dumbledore for study right?".

Fudge hearing this nodded.

"That was indeed a while back... Yes we handed him Merlin's Tome to hopefully decipher and learn from".

Oz nodded back at his confirmation.

"Right... So that Tome is my property now seeing as im the confirmed descendant of Merlin correct?"

Fudge looked at Oz in slight confusion not knowing what he was getting at. He felt a slight shiver looking into the boys cold purple eyes. Oz's eyes personally however were more trained on the dung beetle on his shoulder that seemed to be listening to everything intently.

"If Dumbledore attempted to withhold that Tome from me to... I don't know... maybe force me to become his disciple, would that be seen as an illegal act that could be penalised".

Fudge looked at Oz, still in confusion. This told Oz that he obviously hadn't received news that Oz was learning under Dumbledore else he surely would have made the connection... unless he was actually that inept and stupid that he couldn't piece it together.

"Yes if Albus Dumbledore were to withhold and essentially blackmail you, that would mean he could be prosecuted. The inheritance is rightfully yours after all, nobody should be able to take that right away from you".

Oz felt a calm but sly grin appear on his face.

"Well thats certainly interesting!".

It would be clear to anyone at this point, if they knew news of Oz's discipleship under Dumbledore, that he was essentially playing to the fact that he was forced into the role rather than asked and accepted. Fudge continued to look at the boy in confusion before Oz finished.

"Thanks for the information about that Minister! Such information may be useful for me in the future if anyone else decided to try and withhold my legacy from me".

Fudge smiled at Oz, listening to his praise.

"Oh don't mention it Mr. Ambrosius. As Witches and Wizards we all have to look out for each other!".

With that, Fudge bade Oz a goodbye as he headed off. Oz watched the man walk away as the Dung Beetle on his shoulder split off from him, flying towards the floo network.

Looking towards where that dung beetle had gone off to, A cold grin again creeped up onto Oz's face.

'Do me proud Rita Skeeter...'.
