Ch 3: I.D.

I was woken with a shake by mother this morning. I somehow overslept?! Although today is the day I get to take the soul entrance exam. This gave me a big shock that I quickly recovered from. I couldn't stay depressed for too long since today is the day I get to take my exam!!!

I scarfed down my breakfast quickly then headed to my room to get dressed. I need to look good on my big day. This was obvious since I am a lady. I decided to wear a cute green dress that matched my eyes and had a black belt. I also put on some black knee socks and finished the outfit with brown loafers. With my outfit finished next up is my hair. Sadly I still can't do my hair on my own, but one day I will!!! So I called mother and she started to comb my hair first. While combing my hair she said "your hair is just like Lucia's. Can't say I'm not jealous that you inherited her hair and eyes. Well in the most important part you look like me!" That's right although my hair and eyes are just like mom's. My face looks just like mother's. She always mused about it to me, but I can't blame her… I am pretty cute. Well of course I am both my moms are very beautiful women.

After combing my hair mother grabbed some strands towards the front of my head and brought them together in the back. She then tied a ribbon into my hair in the shape of a cute bow. Now completely ready We started to get ready to leave. I wondered who was going to take me, but both mom and mother were ready. They were in their casual dresses that in the others hair color. They also both had cameras for some reason? Well I didn't really care since today was the big day!!!

We got outside and there I asked mom "whos broom will be riding?" She replied with a sad face and said "Ruby won rock paper scissors this time sadly…" I don't know why but they love settling things with rock paper scissors. Well they made cute faces no matter who won or lost. I always thought my mom's were adorable. They are my role models. They are cute, strong, mature, and great at magic!!! There is no one else in the world who can compare to them in my mind.

Once mother came out from double checking we weren't missing anything. She came out and summoned her broom. She mounted her broom and said "come on Lysthea get on and make sure to hug me tight. Don't forget about doing it tight!!" Mother was always like this. Well I never minded it. I loved hugging her as much as she liked to be hugged. So I got onto her broom and hugged her from behind. Once I got on mother quickly took off with mom following behind.

On the way there I talked with mother about what sort of things I wanted to do with magic. While doing this before I realized it we had arrived at the testing center. The building was three stories with a ton of windows. We entered into a huge lobby that was surprisingly empty. I decided to ask mom "why". She replied with "The exam usually only takes an hour or so usually. We also arrived pretty early." After saying ther her and mother led me to the front desk.

There was a young man with long blue hair at the counter. He asked us "What are you ladies here for today?' I quickly replied energetically "I'm here for my soul entrance exam!!!" He chuckled at my reaction and said "then can you touch this stone here?" He then handed me a white magic stone. When I received the stone it started glowing blue. The man at the desk said with a smile "I have confirmed you remembered your past life. Just take a seat and we'll call you back shortly."

Me and my moms sat down and chatted with each other for maybe fifteen minutes. When we were approached by a lady with beautiful pure white hair and blue eyes. She said "My name is Rumia and I will be your exam proctor young lady. If you could will you please follow me?" I answered with a smile "of course!!!" Rumia led me and my mothers into a room with a giant crystal that emanated a ton of magical power. Rumia said "young lady would you please take this card and touch the crystal with your hand and the card please?" She handed me a small blank card that felt like a magic tool for some reason. I asked her "is this card a magic tool?" Although I asked Rumia, mom answered "yes dear that card will act as your I.D. from now on dear." Rumia who was about to answer seemed a bit displeased at mom, but I didn't care and walked up to the crystal. I placed both the card and my left hand on the crystal. I swiftly felt magic power flowing in and out of me. Flowing through the card magic power started etching something into the card. I felt the magic power stop after a little while.

I decided to see what was etched into the card. First off was my name Lysthea Lille-Anise. Next was my age which was of course 12. Next to that was my gender, which of course was female!!! Under that was citizenship and that said Kingdom of Anise. Huh why does the kingdom have part of my name in it. I decided to ask later so I kept reading. What I saw next made my jaw drop. What was written there couldn't be true… It said my rank was the first princess of Anise. I turn to Rumia and said "I think the card is broken? It says I'm the first princess of Anise. My moms aren't the queens." Rumia sighed and put her hand on her forehead. In an exasperated tone she asked "you two never told her?"

I looked over to my moms who had their eyes to the side looking guilty. So it was true… I am a princess. Does that mean I'll have to run the country in the future??? Will I be able to do what I want? Will there be new rules they would make me follow? Wait now that I think about it. My moms only worked every other week. They would only go out for 7 hours at most. Were they running the country during that time? They never told me anything. I started to panic thinking about all these things.
