Chapter 24 Soul Bond Feeling relieved that the witch hat had forgiven her, Kailey's anxiety washed away. She nodded in appreciation and acknowledgment of the witch hat's apology. Now informed of what the golem hut was for and learning some history about the witch hat, Kailey's mind began to churn as she mulled over the recent events that felt like a few days. Recalling the strange events that transpired during her life-like dream, she remembered Aleshia and wondered if the witch hat knew anything about her. Eager to learn more about this person, she decided to ask the witch hat if it had come across the name Aleshia in any of the scrolls. "Excuse me, witch hat, but have you ever come across the name Aleshia in one of the scrolls you have read in this place?" When Kailey asked the sudden question, the witch hat was slightly confused. Despite the confusion, the witch hat still responded. "Hmm, I recall coming across the name Aleshia before, but I can't quite recall where. Perhaps it was in one of the scrolls I've perused. Do you have any descriptive traits of the person, such as their deeds, profession, or what they studied, so that I might be able to recall which scroll that name was on?" After receiving the response from the witch hat, Kailey used it to organize her thoughts. It helped her tap into a new way of thinking and helped create a structure for her thoughts. It also helped her remember events that had been hazy in her memory. Kailey spent some time sorting out her thoughts in response to the question posed by the witch hat. When she was ready with her thoughts organized, she spoke. "From what I remember, she is a school teacher for a noble's academy, and she was able to cast two magics simultaneously with the elements of water and lightning. She also mentioned that she was a witch who could cast all the elements, calling herself an Elemental Witch." While recounting what she knew about Aleshia, Kailey suddenly recalled the phenomenon that transpired at the end of her dream just before she woke up. "And I believe she soul-bonded with me." Kailey's last statement surprised the witch hat, making it suspicious and a bit worried. The witch hat wondered what could have caused her to assume such a strange thing. It asked Kailey why she thought she was soul-bound with that person. "Soul-bonded? Are you certain that has happened with you and that person? Do you have any idea how that happened?"
