When Azel looked back up at her, there was a familiar twinkle in his eyes that caused her breath to halt; it was in heavy contrast to the frightened one he had worn just moments before.

"It doesn't do your work for you just because you put it on, Dia." Azel explained and her cheeks warmed. "It only masks your aura and helps you control your magic easier."

Adelia nodded, then glanced at her hands before she looked back up at him. "How do I… how am I supposed to use it then?"

Azel took in a breath and smiled at her. "Close your eyes," he said and she did as she was told. "and imagine that your magic, your arcana, is like smoke that is spread out around you. You need to feel that smoke and know its path."

Adelia took in a deep breath and envisioned what Azel had told her in her mind. She tried to sense the magic that seemingly surrounded her but doing it wasn't as easy as she thought.
