Adelia stared at the dagger in her hand like she couldn't immediately process what was happening, a few moments in and her brain finally clicked and she looked up at Azel in disbelief.

"I can't… I can't possibly accept this…" She started in a small voice. "It's—"

"For you." Azel repeated curtly. "So please don't refuse it."

Adelia opened her mouth to protest but seemed to think better of it. She then wrapped her fingers around the blade in her palm. "Thank… thank you." She muttered. "It's truly beautiful…"

Azel's lips curled. "It's unfortunate that they didn't have one with emeralds on it." He added. "They would have suited you perfectly."

Adelia let out a small burst of laughter and carefully unsheathed the blade. Under the rays of the afternoon sun, the citrine gem on the hilt glowed even more brightly and the silver of the dagger only seemed to amplify it.

'How am I supposed to use this?' She thought.
