Chapter 5

Eclipsia POV:

I groan as I open my eyes, my memory hazy as I sit up slowly. A sharp pain in my midsection reminded me of why I was in the hospital. When Sapphire had alerted me that my mate was in trouble I had ran to find her. I broke the door down, causing the two who were guarding it to go flying. I then ripped the boy off of my mate recognizing him as Rube, and threw him into the sink while my mate sank to the floor. Her whining in fear fueled Sapphires anger and the wolf had taken over as the scuffle broke out. One of the guys had gotten a lucky shot in and dug his claws into my soft skin but the anger of having him touch my mate was stronger than the pain and I dusted the floor with them before the blood loss had gotten to me. Thank the goddess my pack stored extra blood.

I look up, hoping it's my mate, as a knock sounded on my door and Toryn stepped inside.

"Girl you gave us quite the scare there. What the frick were you thinking?!"

I shrug, "I wasn't I guess. Rube was trying to rape my mate and my wolf went wild."

He nodded understandingly. "She was here you know. She came with me when I brought you in and stayed by your bedside until the late hour forced her to go home. She hasn't come by yet but I have a feeling she will once school lets out. I just got back from gathering your books for you."

"Can you tell me anything about her? I want to know why she thinks I'm going to reject her."

"I'm not sure. Honestly I think it's just a loss of self esteem. Her mother is the doctor of their pack which is why they moved."

"That makes sense. But what am I to do about her? She's so shy that I'm not sure that she'll ever open up to me."

"Maybe you should take her on a date. Go camping or something. You guys have next week off because of the blood moon. Why don't you see if she wants to go to our lake?"

"You know what?! That's a great idea. It'll take a few days for me to heal anyway. Can you have some guys go set up the camp site?"

"We should probably wait to hear her answer first."

"Oh right." I mumble with a slight blush.

He laughed softly, "love struck you is certainly interesting."

I throw my pillow at him "shut up!"

He laughed, stopping when he notices me staring at the door. Turning he sees Terry standing and watching.

"I'll leave you two alone." He smiles as he slips out the door quietly.

I watch as Terry stood by the door, twiddling her fingers and biting her lips nervously. I growl softly as the action makes me want to kiss her, making Terry jump and look at me.

I regret it immediately, patting the side of the bed. Terry walked over, pulling the chair over with her and sitting on it. I frown in annoyance as my mate feels too far away.

"So... Next week we have off due to it being the blood moon. Would you like to come camping with me? We have a lake nearby and I would love it if you'd join me."

"I...I don't.."

"Please? We don't have to do anything... I just want to get to know you."

Terry looks up at me and slowly nods her head. "Ok.."

I smile happily as I mindlink Toryn to tell him to set up the the camp site.

"So what's your wolf's name?" I ask the shy girl, trying to pick up conversation.

"Silver, her fur is white and grey. Yours's?"

"Sapphire... I can't really describe her to you... You'll just have to see for yourself when you're ready."

Terry frowned at my odd choice of words but nodded. "Can I see her when we go camping?"

"I...I guess... Though I have to warn you. My wolf is, well, unique. Please don't freak out when you see her on Monday."

"I won't." Terry smiled softly.
