The duo went around and greeted their guest. The guest wished them well and a happy life.

The only people who were bitter about the event unfolding in front of them were Cheng Yuxi, her mother and Her friends who sympatise with her for some reason.

She scoffed while looking at Cheng Yinan's liked arm with Lu Muchen and the smile on her face. Cheng Yuxi noticed The elders of Lu family chatting. She straightened herself and began walking towards them. She arrived at the right time as the old master Lu was trying to sit.

" Let me help you grandpa " she said helping the old man sit. " ah thank you child seems my waist is acting up " Lu Haoyu said half jokingly. " How have you been grandpa " she asked. " I've been well " he said glancing through the crowd as of looking for someone.

Cheng Yuxi noticed that his eyes were wandering. " Grandpa what are you looking for " she asked. " It almost time for the ceremony to officially start and I can't seem to find where Lu Yesi has disappeared to " he complained. " I can find him for y..." she was cut off by the old man. " Ah there he is " he said looking in the direction of Lu Yesi who was on stage with the microphone.

" Good evening ladies and gentlemen we have gathered here to day to witness the engagement ceremony of my son Lu Muchen and my soon to be beautiful daughter in-law " Lu Yesi said grinning from ear to ear. His happiness couldn't be hidden.

" Let's have the couple on stage to begin the ceremony " he said signaling the couple to come.

Lu Muchen and Cheng Yinan made their on to the stage. Zheng Mian brought a little cushion with both rings on it.

The couple faced each other on the stage.

" STOP " a voice shouted from the crowd.

Lu Muchen frowned and Cheng Yinan tensed up. The voice that spoke was a young woman.

When Cheng Yinan saw who it was the frown on her face deepened.

" CEO Lu are you seriously getting engaged to this woman " the young lady said with disdain printed on her face as she looked at Cheng Yinan.

Lu Muchen looked at the person and remembered this was the woman that provoked Cheng Yinan at the mall.

" Fang Xi what do you want " this time it was Yang Ruoxi who spoke.

" Stay out of this Yang Ruoxi " Fang Xi pointed at Yang Ruoxi as she gave her warning.

Yang Ruoxi wanted to run over to her but Mu Ze held her back.

" This woman here is a thief " Fang Xi said pointing towards Cheng Yinan.

Cheng Yinan didn't talk but just looked on. Only she knew what was going on in her head.

Numerous grasp was heard from the guest in the ballroom. Some started to murmur amongst themselves. Lu Muchen seemed very calm like he wasn't even aware of what was happening.

" It happened five years ago in the City D school of Art " Fang Xi said.

" Cheng Yinan, Cheng Yuxi and I, Fang Xi attended that school. We were all dorm mates and good friends till one day Cheng Yinan stole my diamond necklace " She narrated.
