35 First Day of School

After a long and exciting summer break, today was the first day of school for An Luxia.

"Hanhan, can you help me get my water bottle!" An Luxia called as she stuffed her laptop into her backpack and zipped it up.

Mo Han grinned as he picked up the large water bottle, wrapping both hands around it to make sure it was warm water and not ice water. 

"Thank you. Come on, let's go. I'm going to be late."

Mo Han was pulled into the car with her and they immediately drove off since An Luxia was indeed going to be late for her first day of school.

In the car, An Luxia fell asleep again. After a long and relaxing summer break of being able to sleep until the sun was up, she was definitely not used to suddenly having to wake up early.

Mo Han looked at her and sighed before moving over to her and having her lean her hand onto his shoulder. She mumbled something softly before continuing to sleep.

About 20 minutes later, the car came to a stop in front of the school entrance, where several students were rushing in, looking at their watches as they ran.

"Baby, wake up. We're here." Mo Han said gently, not wanting to wake her up but knowing that she would be more frustrated if she was late.

An Luxia rubbed her eyes as she opened them. When she saw the time on her phone, she immediately woke up and got out of the car.

"Mwah, love you! Bye, Hanhan!"

Mo Han smiled, and the driver in the front felt his cheeks redden even though he wasn't the one receiving the cheesy confession. 

In the past month, their relationship had improved greatly through their continuous dates every week and their time spent together on the bed. 

Yes, you read it correctly. Time together on the bed.

A few weeks back, An Luxia suddenly started calling him Hanhan after having a secret conversation with Yu Xinyi. And, he liked it very much. He thought it was very cute!

He watched as An Luxia ran off and disappeared into a building before he said to the driver, "Go to the Qin Corporation."

The black car in front of XX University drove away.

"Xinyi!" An Luxia immediately noticed Yu Xinyi sitting in the back of the classroom with her books on the seat next to her.

She walked over and sat down as Yu Xinyi moved the books away.

"You're late!"

An Luxia shrugged, "At least the professor isn't here yet." 

Just as she said that, the professor of the class walked in and dropped his textbook onto the podium with a loud bang.

"Okay, let's get started."

"At least we're in the same dorm. I didn't have time this morning since Hanhan turned the alarm off, so I'll go get my stuff now then," An Luxia said to Yu Xinyi as they walked out of their last class of the day.

"Does your Hanhan know about this yet?" Yu Xinyi questioned, raising an eyebrow.

An Luxia gulped a little guiltily and quickly walked ahead, "Um. . . He will soon."

Yu Xinyi sighed, "Okay. I'm going to go to the dorm then. When you come back, let's order fried chicken together to celebrate the first day of grad school!"

An Luxia licked her lips excitedly, "Okay. I'm going to hurry then. I'll see you later!"

She ran off and entered the familiar black car. When she noticed the empty backseat, she leaned forward, "Mr. Si, where is Mo Han?"

The driver looked back, "Mr. Mo has some work to do so he is at home." 

"Oh. . . okay."

They drove back to the house on the mountain within 30 minutes and An Luxia walked in, expecting to see Mo Han waiting at the door or in the living room.

However, both places were empty and silent. 

She walked over to his office and opened the door slightly, leaning her ear over. The sound of voices came from inside, and she immediately closed the door again.

Since he was busy with work, she could only pack her stuff and tell him later. Yu Xinyi was still waiting for her to eat fried chicken together! 

For first-year graduate students, it was mandatory to live in the dorm. Luckily, she was able to be in a two-person dorm room with only Yu Xinyi. 

After quickly grabbing some clothes and daily necessities, she left a quick note on the bed and left the house, entering the car again to return to school.

--- Two hours later

An Luxia and Yu Xinyi sat across from each other at the table in the middle of the room, both with fried chicken legs in their hands.

As they ate, they talked about the newest drama in the entertainment industry, where a very famous couple divorced!

Then suddenly, there was a knock at the door.

An Luxia dropped her chicken, quickly wiping her lips before opening the door, "Hello, who is -"

At once, her eyes widened in shock when she saw who it was. Then, she looked down at herself. She was wearing grey sweatpants and a light pink shirt with many oil stains on it.

Her mouth was oily from fried chicken oil, and there were even some crumbs around her lips. Her hair was messily tied up in a bun and she had absolutely no makeup on.

"Ah!" She immediately shut the door in the person's face and turned around, quickly wiping her face with a tissue and then putting her hair down, brushing through it with her fingers.

"Who is it?" Yu Xinyi asked her as she took another bite of her fried chicken.

An Luxia ignored her as she opened the door again, "Hi, Hanhan. What are you doing here?"

Mo Han's eyebrows were tightly furrowed together as he looked her up and down, wondering why she suddenly disappeared for a few seconds upon seeing him.

Was she hiding something?

"Why didn't you come home?"

An Luxia blinked a few times, "You didn't read the message I left you on the bed?"

"What message?"
