Chapter 530: Ning Tang's anger

Cheng Xi's voice was heart-wrenching, and it made Li Tezhu's brows twitched, "Hurry up and take the child away!"

The child was crying in the bodyguard's arms, and he did not know how to pacify him.

Zhang Yuan was so angry that she was gasping for breath. Her sharp nails dug into the bodyguard who was restraining her. "Let go of my daughter and my grandson. Get out of our compound immediately!"

Ning Tang was resting upstairs when he heard the commotion. He quickly walked out of his room and headed down the stairs. "What's going on?"

When he opened the front door, he was shocked by the events taking place outside his compound.

"Father!" Ning Tangxi rushed towards Ning Tang. "The Huo family wants to take away Cheng Xi. It must have been Gu Ruochu's idea. She's even trying to snatch my son away now. Father, please uphold justice for me!"

Ning Tang did not react to his daughter's plea. Instead, he walked towards Li Tezhu with heavy steps. "What's going on? Li Tezhu, can you give me an explanation?"

The Huo family would not take away Cheng Xi for no reason. Ning Tang felt that there had to be a logical explanation for their actions.

Before Li Tezhu could speak, Ning Tangxi interrupted him. "It's all because of that good sister of mine. She wants to snatch Cheng Xi away!"

Zhang Yuan was also in shock. She had not expected Gu Ruochu to be so heartless.

"How can Ruochu be so cruel!"

Li Tezhu was overwhelmed by everything that was unfolding before his eyes. He could not understand why Zhang Yuan and Ning Tangxi were so stubborn. No wonder his boss had grown impatient with them. It was a miracle that Cheng Xi had grown up to be obedient and polite in such a toxic environment.

"Li Tezhu, is my question difficult to answer?"

Li Tezhu snapped out of his daze when he heard Ning Tang's question. "Chairman Ning, it was Mrs. Ning who took Ning Tangxi to the Huo family to make trouble for Gu Ruochu. They tried to force her to hand over the culprit who injured Cheng Xi. President Huo feels that Cheng Xi has been injured repeatedly by Ning Tangxi, so it might be better for the child to live under the care of the Huo family."

"You went to the Huo family?"

Ning Tang looked at Ning Tangxi with a sharp gaze and growled, "Who told you to go?"

Ning Tang's voice caused Ning Tangxi to tremble and shrink in fear. "My mother and I just wanted to find out about Xu Yichen's location. We didn't mean anything by it. However, Gu Ruochu did not tell us..."

A loud slap landed on Ning Tangxi's face and cut off the rest of her sentence.

"Father, you hit me? You actually hit me because of that woman!"

Ning Tangxi was in disbelief as she held onto her burning cheek.

"So what if I hit you? Who told you to go and see Gu Ruochu? You actually have the guts to go after your sister. There must be a limit to how much you two siblings can fight. What do you mean by that woman? She's my daughter!"

Ning Tang gritted his teeth in anger. Ning Tangxi was so frightened that she sobbed uncontrollably. "Father, you're unreasonable!"

Her father's anger had made him reject his family.

"Father, what right do you have to hit my sister!" Ning Zongxuan came to Ning Tangxi's defense. He hated Gu Ruochu for ruining the Ning family's peace. "It was clearly..."

Ning Tangxi couldn't believe her ears. She did not understand what her father meant.

"Ning Tang, what are you talking about?" Zhang Yuan was furious.

Ning Tang ignored his wife because she was his true love. He had vowed never to direct his anger towards her.
