Key on the Stage

Hendrik took me to Roni's house. This time, he was driving himself. Along the way he reassured me that everything would be fine.

"I'm afraid that Key hates me after this," I said angrily, even though these eyes were looking ahead, where my mind was elsewhere.

"You're her mother. There is no limit between mother and daughter. Key will always come back to you," comforted Hendrik. He tightly gripped my finger.

Hendrik's words are true. No matter how bad the mother is, a child will always look for her. At least, the realization of it made my burden a little less.

"I'm also worried that Roni won't let me meet Key because he thinks I'll be a bad influence on her," I said.

"Is your husband affluent or ordinary?"

"He used to work modestly. Sometimes his money was enough, sometimes it wasn't enough for our living expenses. That's the reason I'm struggling to sew. Just to fulfill our needs without having to go into debt."
