Chapter 1
i rubbed my face with my hands feeling something liquid on my hands, i looked at it and was shocked to see a red dark liquid. " blood" i said almost yelling, how did this happen, i thought it was only a dream, i quickly ran to the bathroom washing the blood off my white face. i looked at the mirror but to my surprise not even a cut was on my face. i took a white towel cleaning my face before coming out of the bathroom.
i entered the bathroom with my two handmaid's, i slid out of my clothes and entered into the bathtub. they both helped me wash my hair and scrub my back, i closed my eyes and as i enjoyed the warmness and flower scent of the water. he appeared in my head again.
" you are going to be mine soon". he said then disappeared.
" princess Deva". Liana called, she is one of my maid, i opened my eyes immediately breathing heavily.
" you saw him again right?". she asked and i nodded my head.
" don't you think you should tell the queen?". Jennifer my other maid suggested.
" you know my mother she isn't going to answer me". i said before closing my eyes.
" you haven't given it a try" Liana said. Liana and Jennifer are my best friend, they are also witches, my mother brought them both when I was just five (5), Liana was 10 while Jennifer was 9, both of them are like my sister's, they are even closer to me than my own mother.
Liana combed my ginger red long hair, then divided it into two half, a straight lower half and a curl upper half held up by a golden pin, i wore a long purple gown ( purple is my favorite colour).
" you can both leave" i said, they both nodded their head and walked out of the room.
i sat on my bed turning from side to sides and not quite long I heard a light knock on my door.
" who is it?" i asked not wanting to stand up to open it.
" it's Jason my princess" he said, i sigh loudly.
" come in" i groaned out. he opened the door walking into the room.
" good morning my princess'' he greeted bowing his head.
" good morning" i answered before looking at him waiting for what he is about to burst out.
" the Queen wants to talk to you in the dinning and breakfast is also ready" he said, i waved my hands signaling him to go.
i walked into the dinning room, mom was already seated she was drinking from a mug of coffee.
" good morning mother" i greeted bowing my head, she nodded her head in response.
" you are late" she said before keeping the cup of coffee on the dinning table.
" I'm sorry mother" i apologized before sitting on a chair which was facing my mother it was far away from her, the table was a big and long golden table and had soft chair.
" you are the next queen of Devona and you are not suppose to be late for anything" she said angrily, i nodded my head not wanting to say anything that will annoy her.
"you don't nod your head when I talk to you, i do not have to correct myself" she said hitting the table making the table to vibrate.
" I'm sorry mother" i apologized again but she didn't reply this time around, this was not the kind of mother i needed, i wanted the one that would care for me, love me, always stand by me and protect me, although she does protect me but it is because of the Kingdom she would not want to be childless.my Grandma walked into the dinning room,she sat on a chair close to me.
" Good morning Grandma"i greeted.
" Good morning mother"my mother greeted
she nodded her head we began to eat.
my grandmother is nice and strict,she was the former queen but not anymore,my mother took after her,she was said to be the most powerful witch but my mum began one when she became queen, she isn't old she is about 100 years but have a young face she is still better than my mother .
"Devina" she called and my mom looked at her.
" have you told Deva about it??" she asked
"Not yet mother" mom said , Grandma nodded
"I would advice you to tell her now"she said I wonder what they want to talk about.
" you are getting married to prince Liam,the son of king Jacob"mother said, I wasn't that shocked.
I have been expecting this, because the king of Dravius have been coming to visit, he was a vampire, getting married to a vampire,I dare not disagree with my mother or Grand mother
"okay mother" I said I bit from the slice of honey bread
" he is coming next week,that means you are getting married to him,next week" I looked at Grandmother she gave me a warm smile,and I smiled back to her sadly, my mother never smiled at me ,I guess she hates me so much
"Mother" I called
"what do u want Deva??" she asked
"Devina " my Grand mother called angrily
"fine speak up"she said
"why am I getting married to a vampire? I thought I would get married to a wizard" I said, her roll her eyes frustatly.
" No wizard Is suitable for you" she said
" they die early" my grandmother added, yeah I know of that, my Dad is dead and my grand father is also dead, I don't really know why?.
" why do they die early??," I asked
" Shut your mouth Deva, mother don't answer her question, I think you need to rest the maid would bring your food to your room" she Said she clapped her hands twice, my grand mother disappear from the dining room.
" you know you don't really need to ask that much question,the next time you ask that kind of question I promise you would be locked up in your room for two days without food"she said then bit a small quantity of the honey bread , she looked at me for the last time... and then she was gone .
she has done this a lot of times,lock me up in my room without food for two or a day ,I always pass out but grand mother always wake me up with her powers and they is also something about me I have never used anything like magic but grand mother told me that I would have my power when I become queen, I stood up from the dining chair then walked out of the room, another boring day in a boring palace.
I enter into the room close the door ,I jumped in my soft bed.... I love this bed so much. I close my eyes
"Good day princess Deva"I jumped out of the bed in shock , I look at the guy standing in front of me, he has brown hair with white flare skin, golden eyes, he looks familiar
I'm prince Liam, the second son of king Jacob of Dravius he said, oh .... I smiled at him , he was handsome, like one of the most handsome guys I had ever seen.
"I can see you've gotten lost "he smiled
"me too " he added.
" how did you get here ??" I asked
" magic!!" he said
"vampire"don't have magic, just a sharp teeth and maybe super fast" I said , he laughed, wow he laughed Charming.
"we have other things too" he said
" well your mother helped me, she is so sweet" he said , yeah she is always sweet to people likes , unlike me, she hates me.
"why don't you show me around the palace" he said then strenches his hand, I put my hands on his, he kissed my knuckles ,I blushed foolishly as we walked out of the room.
