..Where?

*drip* '..Mmm'

A beautiful young man laying within the ruins of a shrine furrowed his brow disturbed by the slight sensation of water dripping from above.

*Drip. ..Drip.*

His long lashes fluttered showing signs of waking, slowly his pale blue eyes were open and his fingers moved slowly as he breathed lightly. In a daze his eyes were still blurred from waking up and his mind was hazy.

' ..Mmm...Huuh..?'

He put his hands on the surface he was laying on gently proping himself up, it was cool and damp to the touch on what seemed like old ruins covered in moss like growth.

"Huh? Where am I?" He murmured reaching out with a hand feeling around for anything that would give him some answers.

"Hm."

He turned his head towards the entrance of the shrine the sunlight was streaming in. The sky was a clear purple hue and what looked like two suns brightly shining were in the sky but it felt cold against his skin.

The air was fresh and clean, the sky clear.

A faint breeze blew across the unfamilar grassy plains, sending a few strands of hair fair white hair floating into his face.

He could see forest ahead of him with nothing else nearby.

"This is just crazy..." A small nervous chuckle escaped his lips. "I've never seen this place in my life." He said taking a deep breath although enjoying the smell of the wind as it passed over him his mind was a mess at the current situation.

"What's going on? How do I even get back home?" He asked himself slightly panicking.

"How am I here? What happened to me?" He thought to himself before letting out a heavy sigh.

"I wonder if my Brother is worried..." He muttered.

After getting up and looking around his surroundings he noticed there were no other people or anything around except for the forest and the shrine. His gaze seemed to linger on the shrine, he couldn't figure out why but it seemed familiar.

"Maybe the person who built it passed away?" He said after a moment of silence.

Not knowing how to get back home he sighed and started walking out of the Shrine, his footsteps echoing through the air as they landed softly on the grass. Looking down he then realised that he didnt even wear shoes and was still in his sleepwear, the soles of his feet were white and tender and his sleepwear seemed oversized on his small frame.

"Oh well." He shrugged off his concerns giving himself a prep talk that things will be fine.

"For now...I'll find something...or someone.. that will help me return home." He told himself.

The forest was vast, shadows loomed everywhere as he tried to make his way forward. The trees and plants were all unfamiliar and strange.

"Where even am i?" He wondered aloud, "Is this some kind of dream?" He asked himself moving forwards as he walked.

Accidentally he stepped on something sharp underneath his feet.

''Ouch!''

"..It feels real though!" He muttered as he continued onwards.

His heart was pounding, his breathing shallow he walked till he heard a noise coming from somewhere within the forest.

"Hm? Is that a bird?" He called out trying to locate where the sound was coming from.

"Hm? Hm!?" He heard an unusual sound and a second later he stopped and listened carefully.

In a flash his senses went alert, he took several steps backwards as his eyes widened as he looked up.

"...?!"

With eyes wide open and his body trembling he stared at the tree branches above him separate from the wind and watched as something coming from above.

He jumped aside quickly and started running back towards the Shrine

He didn't know what was happening but he had to leave, he didn't want to get caught up in whatever it was.

As he ran he tripped and fell onto his backside, he got back up and kept going.

"D-Don't look up!" He shouted to himself as he ran back into the shrine with its moss covered walls.

What he saw looked like something out of an Alien film, UFO's were something he was only exposed to in science fiction.

Suddenly from behind he heard a voice calling out to him.

''__! ___ __!'

He turned around and saw a man running towards him with a smile on his face, he was wearing a slimline combat suit. But he looked Human which instantly calmed some of his worries.

"__!'

The problem was.. what was he saying?

He couldn't understand the words he was speaking.

"I-I can't understand you!" He called out to him, the Man's expression changed suddenly as he stopped and looked down at him.

''____?'' .... ''___ ___ ____?'' the Man asked the boy with a confused expression confused

''_____ __ ____ _____ __ _______?'' A second man came up from behind the first man in the same outfit.

''__, __ _____. ___ ____ ____ ___ ________ __ ___ _____ ___ ________...''The first man looks to be conversing with the second but the boy had a feeling they were talking about him.

At this point the young boy had calmed down a lot although there was a clear language barrier he had a feeling that these people were not here to harm him and could possibly help him.

The second man approached the young boy with a slight smile on his face making hand movements ''____ ___ ___ ____, ___ ___ ____?''

The young boy pursed his lips and nodded, he seemed to vaguely understand what they mean. It seems the first point of call is to learn the language he thought.

This is my first ever time writing so i hope its not super bad...any constructive ideas are appriciated!

I will release every sunday! Ive got about 40 chapters written so far that are schedualed releases. Im not sure how long this series will be but considering its a slice of life I think after the main story there is going to be some extras.
