...Fox?

Juniper was stunned and confused by the doctors question

''What does that mean?'' Juniper asks.

''Your genetic structure shows that you are a female. By all accounts females show characteristics of their animal type but we cannot see this on you.''

''Dr.Castillo, would you mind coming over?'' Dr.Anthony turns his head and speaks up

An older female who had deer like horns and kind downturned eyes wearing white uniform comes out from a small room off to the side and looks up at the two of them.

''Is there something?'' Dr.Castillo asks

Juniper stares towards Dr.Castillo not at their face but at the protruding things on his head.. they .. are horns?

''I think this is more your area of expertise with him being female the same as you, would you mind?'' Dr.Anthony makes way for Dr.Castillo to come forward towards Juniper

Dr.Castillo examines Juniper from the top of his head down to his feet with a strange expression on his face. He turns to Anthony.

''So we have an anomaly here, maybe the DNA of the species may be different than what we expected or perhaps its an evolutionary change. I don't know, but there seems to be something odd about this specimen.'' Dr.Castillo eyes glow as if he has found new research

Juniper feels a chill down his spine at Dr.Castillo's words.

''I-I uh…I..do have.. Um fox characteristics..'' Junipers words slowly turn into a whisper.

Dr.Castillo's eyes glow brighter.

''What did you say?'' he asks

''Fox?'' Anthony asks

''Wait.. I can um.. Hide them at will'' Juniper stutters

''Yes? Can you? You're an illusion ability user aren't you?'' Anthony exclaims.

''A what?'' Juniper asks confused.

''Illusionist!'' Dr.Castillo shouts.

''Oh.. I thought you said something else…ehehe'' Juniper says feeling relieved maybe it is for the best that they think this is the case. Although the Nine-tailed ability is, in a sense, to make an illusion that the ears and tail disappear I don't know what else this 'illusion ability' can do.

Juniper releases the illusion with a *poof* fluffy white fox ears and a large white tail become visible.

Juniper only has 1 tail with his current age and power, he hasn't gained his eight further tails unlike his brother Sena, who has been around much longer than him.

Juniper was envious of his brother for having nine tails and duel abilities while Juniper was grateful to be under his care he couldn't do much in terms of help apart from the usual housework and looking after the garden, thankfully one thing Juniper was proud of was his plant ability although he couldn't use fox flames that were common they were not useful for his day to day life.

"Well, I guess that answers part of the question," Dr. Castillo says

Javier stood to the side watching everything, he was slightly surprised at the results. Both him and Garlan assumed this was an underraged male but it was actually an almost adult female.

Javier lowered his eyes thinking he misses his own female Ciro who is back on the Capital Star, Javier felt a slight sadness, he missed his female greatly but he knew he was safe and well looked after by his other 4 husbands there. He remembered the first time they met and fell in love. It was during his trip to the capital star where he got married and they had their son.

Javier had always wanted a large family and now his dreams came true.

Even though he didn't get to spend much time with his children back on the Capital Star with his military work he still cared for them and loved them dearly.

He came back to his senses and walked over to Dr.Castillo, Dr.Anthony and Juniper.

''If all tests have been completed, I must go report to Marshall Maynard with Juniper." Javier interrupts

Juniper looks at Javier worriedly and speaks up

''Um.. Would it be alright if i could change clothes?''

''Sure, we should probably take you to where you will be set up with your sleeping quarters to change.'' Javier takes the lead by taking the medical information and sending it onto Maynard in advance.

''Well then, should we get going?'' Javier opens the door to lead Juniper out leading him to his room.

Juniper was taken to his new sleeping quarters. The room was rather spacious with a bed covered in a white fur blanket and several pillows.

He found that they had provided a basic combat suit for him to wear. After getting changed into a more suitable outfit, Juniper went out into the main area to find it was Garlan waiting outside this time.

Juniper had never been in a military base before so he wasn't sure how to act.

''Greetings, Garlan." Juniper greets.

''Hello, my friend. How are you settling in, is the room nice?" Garlan asks with a casual smile

''It's quite nice actually. I'm a bit surprised'' Juniper smiles back

''Well, that's good! Now, I have been told to take you to the Marshall. I will be your guide and if you need anything, feel free to ask me.''

Juniper nods politely
