CH.13 - Abyss (2)

"I-It was his fault! For a small fry… h-he got carried away… i-it was divi--" She heard the voice saying that and couldn't help but narrow her eyes.

'You are lucky I couldn't see who you were but I hope you pray that I will never find you or else...' thought Shizuku with narrow eyes and hostility.

"Let's go...."

Enkai and Hajime were exploring the floor they were on while being the most stealthy possible. Well "exploring" was a big word for the two since after only a few steps they heard a sound of chewing from their right. It was another rabbit eating again another wolf, you could easily see that the wolf didn't even stand a chance.

"Shit, shit, shit isn't it one of the monster you told me about, can you kill him, you did told me that you were going to eat rabbit meat" Hajime said whispering to Enkai so that the rabbit wouldn't hear him, beginning to panic.

"Calm down Hajime ! ...yes, but I only could kill him since I ambushed him and I am helping you to walk so there is not a chance for me to win, we need to get out of here ri--" Enkai responded to Hajime, in a louder voice at first but whispering at the end but he couldn't finish since his mistake attracted the rabbit, turning its red eyes away from the meat to them.

In a swift motion, the rabbit used a skill [ Air Dance ] causing it to appear right in from of them, Enkai could barely follow it, the rabbit's eyes glowing in red, ready to kill its prey. but its eyes glowed down and the rabbit simply disappeared, causing the both of them to sigh in relief.

'Wait...it's weird...' Enkai were screaming at him that something dangerous was in the proximity, he turned his head around only to see three claw coming from a big white monster bear-looking.

"Fuck Hajime get down !" Enkai said to his friend, who still didn't know what was happening. Enkai pushed him away from him and get himself down, successfully dodging the claws.

As if being humiliated that such weak prey could escape its attack, the bear-looking monster growled in anger using more strength.

"Hajime, run, find a place where we can be safe I will try to gain sometime, don't ask question just go we are losing time" Enkai ordered Hajime, showing his back to him and focused on the monster unsheathing his almost broken katana.

Hajime looked at his friends back one last time before going to search some place where he could do his magic.

Back at Enkai, the monster was looking at him with a pitiful gaze, thinking that with such pitiful strength what could that human do ? Switching to a condescending gaze the monster attacked again with the same attack.

Like feeling a jolt in his body Enkai already started to move, dodging the to the right the attack, it was like he sensed the attack trajectory. The monster was little stunned since the pitiful human dodged his attack, with a growl, he started to attack again with only a single skill thinking that this much would be enough. But Enkai kept dodging what was thrown at him, a every attack getting quicker or dodging earlier than before.

The monster had enough of this and was getting angrier by every second that passed. With a loud growl, shaking the surrounding a little he rush toward Enkai, ready to stick his claw into this human head.

The monster was so angry against Enkai that he forgot everything about other pray, while he attacked Enkai, he was still eyeing Hajime who was trying to get behind him, Hajime saw a perfect place to hide and was trying to get to it. The monster saw this and was planning to kill Hajime after he finished after Enkai but he never expected the little human to anger him like this.

Enkai who saw this smirked, even tough the monster was much stronger than him, like comparing a dragon to a lizard, in terms of speed the monster wasn't much, fact that the rabbit used to escape. Dodging to the left, the monster couldn't stop due to his weight and kept going.

'Well, I trained the past few weeks to get a hand of it, I hope you'll like it' thought Enkai before jumping toward the monster's neck.

"[ Space Sword ] !!" Screamed Enkai, launching his skill toward the monster neck, [ Space Sword ] was a skill which could 'cut all enemies that exist in the path.', having the characteristic 'there is nothing you can't cut' of a Sword Saint to cut the world itself. Alas Enkai wasn't strong enough to use the skill normally.

In fact in general you could say that Enkai had 'ultimates' skill but he couldn't even use them, frustrating him. Hence he needed to use more basic skill that he could copy when seeing his other classmate use or use his own skill that he polished in Earth. Recently he could use a 'broken' version of [ Space Sword ] having less than 1% percent of the real power and with the drawback of having all of his stamina drained.

He knew that it was foolish to use this since there was a chance that it maybe couldn't kill the monster and even if it could other monster could come and then he wouldn't be able to defend himself.

Fortunately the skill was much more than enough to kill the monster, powerful even if it was a broken version of it. The skill sliced the monster neck, his head dropping to the ground, followed by his body afterwards.

Enkai was tired, panting, sweat running on his forehead. He sent one last look toward his surrounding, seeing no monster who maybe flew because of the bear-looking monster, he then heard the sound of metal shattering, and saw his katana broken because of the skill. With one last look he saw Hajime, running toward him before dropping to the ground unconscious.
