Chapter 18 – The Figure and the Spear

The town of Vale is grateful for the help of Shamir from saving them from another conflict with the Aswang but they are still cautious how to deal with the sleeping Aswang outside. They might wake up and be angrier from the state they are on. Vale's guardsmen are discussing if they should just kill them while they are asleep but the Mayor warns them that it only takes one drop of blood from either side for a fight between their town and the Aswang to occur.

Leshin still stand his ground that he killed the two Sigbin as it was neutral ground and he just did it to keep the Chronicler from any harm. The rest of the guardian agrees but they are still undecided how to move forward.

"Yes, but the two Sigbin are alive with their witchcraft. We tried to explain it again and again but they are hot headed and they won't listen to reason." The mayor Nicanor raise his concern and advice the group to make amends without any bloodshed. They agree and wanted to convince the Aswang on their side and maybe they can make a deal around it.

Shamir raised her hands and jumps with glee. "Oh! I got just the thing. So I guys just want to make friends with them right?"

"If that is possible then yes, I would like them to understand that it is not the Vale or anyone's fault. Leshin is just doing his job as the guardian of the Chronicler" Mayor Nicanor replied.

"Not a problem." Shamir then pulls her pouch and open it up. She blows into the pouch and golden sand that glitter like the night sky spread into the air. The sands are carried by the winds and are flying across the town and over the town's gate. Then the sands slowly settled on to the sleeping Aswang. They inhale the golden sands into their nose and mouth.

Then Shamir's magic manifested on her body. Purple and gold mist started to flow from her skin and swirls around her. She puts back the pouch in her waist. She closes her eyes and she inhales the mist around her. Once she opens her eyes, she started speaking in a language that no one can understand. Except for Jasmine, the power of the Chronicle allows her to understand foreign languages and she can hear Shamir perfectly.

"Be with him. Be friends with him. Understand Leshin. He was a friend. He was a part of you. He was a family to you…" The words that Jasmine heard from Shamir sounded very calming. As if those words were trying to reach the soul of the Aswang. Jasmine looks around and sees Atlas paying attention carefully. His eyes widen every word that Shamir says and he nods in agreement to her words. Does Atlas understand Shamir? Are they from the same continent? Jasmine asked herself.

Shamir stopped her chanting and closes her eyes. The magic dissipate from her, she opens her eyes then she smiles and exclaimed that she finished her magic. "There! Now those Aswangs should be our friends now. Do you want me to wake them up?"

Atlas without hesitation agreed to wake the Aswang outside. The mayor also agrees for he wants to see if Shamir's magic did work. Shamir waves her hand in the air like; her fingers and wrist dance like smoke and the same golden purple magic starts to appear on her hands. After casting her wakening spell, the Aswang outside started to wake up. One by one then stand up; first they are confused how they fell asleep. Then they looked at the gate of the town with remorse and sadness on their eyes. One of the Aswang started to yell from the top of his lungs "NO! I won't kill Leshin!"

Two Aswang started to exchange their thoughts about their mission. One spoke "I just remembered that he was my friend before I became an Aswang. He helped me when I was just a kid." The other one replied "Same as that guy who was shouting, I think Leshin was that elf that saved us when we were drowning. I owe that elf my life!"

One by one the Aswang outside discussed their memories with Leshin; how a great influence was him in their lives, how he helped them and how Leshin was a good friend to them. Their hatred was gone and instead they prefer not to attack Vale and think about their next choice of action. They gather themselves and slowly retreated back to the forest.

The guards inform the town that the Aswang outside has disperse. The town celebrates and the mayor jumps for joy in his little mound of dirt. "That is what I am talking about! But my dear, how did you do it?" the mayor asked Shamir. The rest of the guardians are also curious how that happened.

"I convinced them in their dreams that they were a friend of Leshin. I put Leshin in their memory and made new memories with him like saving them from an attack from a wild boar attack when they were young or helping them when they were drowning." Shamir said but the mayor remained confused. He asked that how they are easily convinced and Shamir replied that's the part of her sand. First it made them asleep then she can implant fake memories. To make fake memories convincing, she tied with something traumatic and dark in Aswang's past and made Leshin a beacon of hope during those trying times. Making a fake memory based on things they never experience can be rejected by their mind.

The mayor is happy with this answer but he wonders if those Aswang would bother them again.

"I am sure once they returned to their clan; these Aswang will try to convenience others not to follow thru and ask for our friend or this town not to be bothered again."

The guardians are happy to hear that their new addition to the team is such a kind hearted person.

"I thank you for your help Shamir. I am in your debt." Leshin approaches her and shakes her hand. Shamir shakes Leshin in return

"Welcome to the team. When you need someone to show you the ropes, call me. The name is Juan and this is my friend" he points his frog on his shoulder. Shamir pats the frog and introduces herself.

"That is an outstanding move! Resort to peace than violence eh? Where I came from, we eat our foes then we will talk for peace treaty once they are defeated. Nah! I am just kidding. AHAHAHAH!" Gil gives Shamir a nice big hug then and introduces himself to her.

"Oh! You're a merman! A very happy to meet somebody of your kind." Shamir is very ecstatic to meet Gil as this is the first time she physically meet a merman on land. Then she noticed her clothes smell of fish.

Tala flies between the two and gently pushes Gil aside. She cast her wand over Shamir and Sampaguita flowers started to fall from the wand and into Shamir's clothing. "That should do it. You just need to deal the rowdy and rudeness of the boys here. The name is Tala." Gil apologizes for it but Shamir doesn't mind.

"You are quite a pacifist. Let's see how you deal in a true battle in the future. My name is Kulog and here is by brother Kislap" there Kulog is standing above his brother with left foot pinning him. Kislap just wave and smiled. "I apologize for my brother. He treats women . . . differently. He just can't help himself so before he can make a move, I subdue him."

"No! I am not like that. You see, all women in my eyes are queens and all of them should be treated as such. Now I would like to be your Ki. . . " before Kislap can finish his sentence, Kulog punches him in the gut and she drags her brother off before he can make further comments to Shamir.

Shamir giggles as she never seen such a dynamic duo between siblings before. Then Amihan approaches here with Jasmine. "Hello Shamir, let me introduce to you Amihan one of the many guardians like you. I glad that we found a way out of that mess without bloodshed." Jasmine says as she Amihan and her shakes the hand of Shamir.

"This world is full life and should be enjoyed with each other's company. It is just sad to see that there are individuals who see this world like it is a way for them to grow and rule." Shamir's voice went soft. Her eyes became soft and holding tears back. Without warning, she stopped talking, she turns her back on the guardians and started to walk toward the Inn. She quietly began to wipe her tears as painful memories from her travels allowed her to see people suffering. Jasmine felt awful for asking her that but she didn't meant to give her a bad time. The other guardians are a bit worried now; will they allow such kind hearted guardian with them? She might be a hindrance to them when there is a necessary fight to make. "She is too sensitive don't you think?" Leshin asked the group.

All guardians looked at each other and started to whisper among them if Shamir should be taken with them or just let her stay behind. Atlas didn't join the discussion, he skip past the group and he walks with Shamir. He pats Shamir on her shoulder and congratulates her. "Aderfí, you did a wonderful job back there." The moment Shamir heard this; she was stunned as there is another of country men in Antrian.

She her eyes widen with excitement and her face is back with joy "Another one from Tymar!" she removes her robes and she shows almost the exact outfit like Atlas. "And a guardians like you! Wow, I can't believe it!" Shamir gave Atlas a firm hug. The other guardians hear this and they are all confused as the both of them began to speak in their native tongue. Jasmine pulled the group into the Inn so they can talk while they eat.

Over at the table, Atlas and Shamir were talking nonstop; as if they are two long best friends that haven't met each other. Atlas munches on the large meat while Shamir gulps down on her 5th beer. The Innkeeper ask how are they paying for these and then Atlas slams a huge chuck of gold to the table and asked the Innkeeper to keep the food coming. Innkeeper accepts the payment but his eyes follow the two Tymar with scrutiny.

"Someone is in a good mood. Care to fill us in with our new friend Atlas?" Amihan asked as she is curious what the two are talking about.

"Guys! Shamir is a Tymarian like me. Oh man, we were just talking about the how we missed home and the things we saw during our travel."

"Yeah! I didn't know that I would meet someone like me."

The two then began share the other guardians again their story but as they are telling their story they began to started chatting in their native tongue again. "Time to let these two catch up; I am sure they have a lot more to talk about." Amihan understandably left them alone and the other guardians also tend to their own chatter and relaxation first.

Jasmine feels happy for the two; she ignores the rowdy guardians for a moment as she is concentrating on what the two Tymarians were talking about. She overheard their adventures before they met Jasmine. How the two of them accepted the Ritual of Power because they both wanted to see the world as their bodies won't let them; of course the two wont dwell on it too much who's their original identity are and why they original bodies won't work.

So far Jasmine knows that Leshin and Tala's body is being protected by the real body of Leshin somewhere out there that they only know. Kislap and Kulog and living thunder and lightning and left their elemental bodies up there in the sky where no one can reach and with Amihan as the sky have the body of the cold northeast wind swirling endlessly.

As for the others, Jasmine can surmise that Atlas is based on the Greek Titan of the same name from her world. Juan is Loki from Norse, as he already said to Jasmine. Gil might be just an ordinary merman and as for Shamir, she has no clue but if she is a country man of Atlas, then she might be another Greek god.

Leshin closed the door of the room and then he stands up and asked the group to settle down so they commence their meeting. The guardians followed and fix themselves.

"Hopefully no distraction this time?" Tala raised her eye brow on Juan.

"Hey! No more. I promise." Juan snickers for abit.

"Shamir, I formally welcome you to the group. We are all guardians here under the Chronicler and we are here for a specific reason - to find about the snake cult." Leshin discussed further with Shamir on what happened on their journey. Shamir was enthralled with the story on their adventures and then she realized how much she missed since she arrived weeks later after Leshin's summon to Vale.

"I reckon with your powers, you could have make Orochimaru sleep and we can just interrogate him easy as that!" Kislap raised a bottle for Shamir. Shamir blushes and replied that it depends on how big the target is. The bigger they are the power sleeping dust she needs to make one sleep.

"Juan and I asked around a while ago before we settled in here. Neither the patrons nor the guards have heard any snake cult or disappearance within the Vale. Maybe other towns are being affected and haven't reached us yet" Gil adds. The guardians assumed that they might be hiding or might be attacking in random times – having to find one will be difficult if one doesn't know where to look. "That is why we are going to Sacred Hall of Gathering".

The guardians then asked Leshin why they need to Sacred Hall of Gathering and he replied that the Chronicler used that place as their base against the Aswang Swarm. That place also holds a large pond where the Chronicler used it to meditate. The guardians who participated in the war against the Aswang Swarm at that time do recall that too.

"Why would I need to meditate there?" Jasmine asked the group.

"Well, Chronicler, we went to the island in search for this snake cult but it didn't give us any answer and instead we left with more questions: Daija of the Dogon is still alive after thousands of cycles have past, the heretical claim that Bathala is dead and now his body part can give anyone who has it powers, and when you saw that leg of Bathala we all experience that vision. We need answers on it and maybe you meditating on the Sacred Hall of Gathering might bring us answer." Leshin explained.

"That I can agree on; when we are on a pickle, she will just mediate and she will give us orders and lead us out of tight spots against the Aswang." Gils added.

Shamir raised her hand and Leshin nods and allowed her to speak. "I experienced that weird vision too when I was at River Town last week, north of here! So guardians across all continents might have experience that vision too."

"Huh, so other guardians might be joining us then!" Atlas adds as he excites in the notion of others joining them and having a good fight against this snake cult.

"We need to get to the bottom of this. What if Daija returns and conquered that island or worst . . . what if the other 6 Dogons of his time also survived and have their own piece of the body." Amihan reminds the team of this danger.

"We really need to find those who mad these kidnapping and ritualistic sacrifices for a snake anito here in Antrian . . ." Kislap says and her sister finishes his sentence "And find a connection with a snake shaman madman in an island and ties with ancient King of Dogon."

"Orochimaru is a snake shaman, Daija was a literal snake and a snake cult here . . . with this snake talking I will just have to kill every snake I see if that stops this threat." Tala

The group is all on the same page: to take Jasmine to the Sacred Hall of Gathering and let her meditate at the pool. Tala then asked Shamir where was she all this time? Shamir then told that eversince she got this new body, like Atlas, she decided to see the world. But then she heard the message of Leshin's Lotus. She was at the Ruks-Bel Lands that time and decided to travel east to Antrian. She kinda get lost but eventually got to Vale and this is where she met the team.

Atlas chimes in how she and Shamir are almost the same and an instant the both broke up the silence and seriousness of the room and they started telling stories around the world.

How Shamir was surprised that the new continent Incien have a lot of in fighting despite it was recently found. Atlas also agreed on that notion with Juan confirming her stories. "And there is where I met fellow guardians Ura and Asura. They are powerful than me that I can say. They can take on an army with just the two of them and they are working for their King. But we didn't have enough time since the continent is being consumed by war. They led me to safety and there I travel to Ginn Hus the most southern part of the continent. . ."

Juan looks at Jasmine, in a moment they both understand each other. Juan nods in silence. When they fought the devil, Juan and Jasmine read the contract of the devil and saw Ura has died. Jasmine felt a sharp pain in her gut. Life of a guardian that upholds the balance of this world must be difficult as not only it cost their life but their soul as well.

Then as they were just talking, they heard a knock on their door. Leshin opens the door and their mayor stands on his mound while it is being carried by a guard. "Sorry for the interruption but River Town is in flames. Come outside please."

The guardians and Jasmine hurry outside of the Inn and there they see smoke and fire are in a distance. They see people lining from the river side of the town and they are being escorted by the guards. The mayor informs that this suddenly happened; as Vale was enjoying the night then guards saw the smoke. Then shortly after boats from River Town sailed down here and there are a lot of refugees from an attack.

"What did this? Aswang?" Juan asked but the mayor shakes his head.

"It was done by a very imposing large figure. They say the man was 7 to 8 foot tall and wields a spear. He manages to kill everyone in his way and possess a huge deal of strength. Arrows to the chest, sword to the knee, and even magic won't slow him down." Mayor Nicanor replies and now asked the guardians to stay and just in case the figure appeared, they should help Vale defend themselves.

"That can be arranged but for now is the Vale prepared for evacuation centers for the refugees?" Juan asked and the mayor says that they are. The mayor pleaded with the guardians and Chronicler for their help. Mayor explained that compare to Vale, River Town is richer than Vale due to their trading post and with their riches their mayor used the money to have the town's wall fortified and bolter their defenses with soldiers wearing iron and guards men having sharper spear than Vale's.

"How long will it have to reach the Vale?" Gil asked the guardsmen. The guard responded that it can reach Vale a day on foot and a few hours on boat. Gil volunteered to swim upstream. Maybe he can help to save others. Kislap and Kulog joined in; their speed can allow them to travel in minutes and patrol River Town and assess the situation. Jasmine agreed on their suggestions and three promptly leave. Atlas will join the guardsmen on their bolstering their defenses and Leshin will provide trees to grow on the refugees' camp to at least give them a shade when the morning comes.

The rest agreed to get some rest and stay at the Inn for the night. Thou Jasmine is worried for her the three who went to River Town, she grasped the Chronicle close to her chest, hoping that they will stay safe.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gil swims fast and the flow of water doesn't seem to slow him down. His power grants him immense speed while swimming; with this he can swim faster than most fishes and can match the twins speed on land. While he swims under the waters of the river, he can see more boats are coming towards the town. Everytime he passes a boat he send a powerful wave to push the boat faster downstream to reach the Vale faster. Soon instead of hours, the boats can travel to Vale in a few minutes.

Kislap and Kulog run like a blur across the land. Along the way they visit other towns and small villages and warn them that River Town was attacked. They visited a dense forest full of Kapre on their trees. They are unaware of the issue and thought that it might have to do with an accidental fire; they thank the two guardians for the warning and now they prepare for a potential threat.

Kislap and Kulog next warned the different settlement of duwende across the land. Some are skeptic and the others are thankful for the warning. They took this differently as they instead will prepare a trap for the figure if it ever arrives their area – they will defend their land and will not allow to fall.

Next the siblings visited are the tribe of Tikbalang that lives within Forest of Dwellings, a short hour walk from the River Town. The Tikbalang's best warriors are ready and are have prepared their defenses. The sibling asked why they didn't send help to River Town as it was just an hour of walk from their forest and the Tikbalang replied that they don't want to incur the wrath of whatever attacked River Town – they admit that they are afraid of whatever attacked the town but since it is not attacking their tribe, they won't attack it too.

The two siblings are disappointed on the Tikbalang Tribe. They left and decided to run towards the River Town. "Selfish bastards; what kind of thinking is that? Leaving others to suffer since it is not their concern?" Kislap comments on what the Tibalang said.

"Brother, leave them. These creatures have you seen how they think? They live in the same place but they are divided. They don't seem to mind since the threat are far away from them; instead of sending help, they actively prepare for the worst instead of uniting for a common cause" Kulog adds.

"If Orochimaru attacks them, they will surely fall." Kislap sounds disappointed from how the local creatures act. Kislap and Kulog finally arrived at the entrance of River Town and all they see is carnage. Bodies of dead soldiers are everywhere and two watch towers by the entrance collapsed with the bodies underneath the rubble.

Gil arrives at the docks of the town. There he sees a row boat docked and beside it a ship filled with people fleeing the town. Gil then pushed the ship out of the dock and into the river to given them a boost. The creatures on the ship thanks him and warned him that the burning town is practically empty there is nothing for them Gil to return to. Either the dead will greet him or the figure will kill him.

Gil just smiled and pushes them further until they are away from the docks. Gil swims back to the dock and there the fire raging across the buildings of River Town greeted him. The buildings on River Town are different compare to Vale; they have large houses made out of marbles and iron. Golden trinkets are hung on their doors to show their status and wealth – the lesser the gold and minerals they hung by lesser the person's status is within the city. Bricks and sturdy stone are placed as proper roads compare to the simple life at Vale. River Town should feel big and adventurous but the fire is destroying its beauty.

Gil used his magic to manipulate the water out of the river and hurl them to every fire he can see. He puts out the fire to save what building and homes he can. "It's the least I can do, I know how losing a home to an invasion feels" He tells to himself.

Kislap and Kulog enter the town with their weapons ready beside them; they hear the crackling fire and the heat above them as the building burns. The road paves the way to a bloody mess of dead soldiers. Fear is etched on their faces and this tells all the siblings need to know; this figure isn't to be taken lightly.

And as they carefully walk around the burning town, they heard a swords clashing from a distance. The two ran fast as they can to see if they can help any survivors. They follow they the sound across the town and there they see this huge figure with black robes covering his body and obscuring his face. It wields a huge spear and the end of the spear is a tikbalang wielding a sword and trying to cut the spear in half.

The two guardians rushes in to help the tikbalang but before they reach him, the figure grabbed the tikbalang and tossed him to the two guardians. The guardians grabbed the tikbalang to cushion the blow but they didn't anticipate the force hurled on the tikbalang's body; they brace themselves but the blow was too much and they were flung across the town. They crashed across different buildings and eventually landing on the town's square.

The tikbalang is barely conscious after the wounds he suffered. He looked at the two guardians before dying and murmurs to them to run away. The tikbalang dies in their arms and the two guardians stand up. They look at the dead tikbalang and they will honor him by running; run towards the figure that killed him and taking it down as revenge for the people of River Town.

"Sis, let me generate some speed." Kislap eyes crackles in lighting. His body starts to glow generates lighting; streaks of lighting start spread thru his body and to his weapon.

"Kislap, let's make sure this guy stays down. We don't want this going to other towns." Kulog's body vibrates intensely that the ground beneath her foot cracks. The pressure building up is felt as the building around her starts to vibrate with her.

The two shared their powers and they run across the town and toward the figure like lightning and thunder. The figure didn't see what hit his stomach. All it knows that there was a flash of light and loud bang and then there was an immense pain in its stomach.

Kislap and Kulog didn't stay after hitting it in the stomach, they run around it and kept hit it in it's his legs and other body parts to incapacitate its ability to move and use the spear. They kept at a distance when the figure tries to grab them or take a swing of its spear. They kept hitting the figure again and again, until the figure collapse on the pain they put it into. The figure yells in pain; it tries to stand up while grabbing the spear but it can't as the relentless attack from the guardians won't give it a time to rest. Each attack from their rod breaks its bones and left a mark like lighting hit it.

All the figure can do is to take the punishment of the attack as it sits there with one knee on the ground and desperately clings on the spear. The two kept hitting this figure as hard as they can but none manage to knock it down. Then their attack lands on the figure's face, the figure's eyes glowed orange and looked at the two. The spear glowed golden orange; it's magically aura flows around the spear then it was absorbs to the figure's arm and spread across its body. The magic settled around the wounds it receive and healed it instantly. The figure stands up and readies itself from another attack from the siblings.

The two decided to hit the figure again on the face to distort him. They successfully hit it as the figure moves sluggishly to catch them.

"Sis, we need to take that spear away. It heals the damage we dealt."

"On it and remember to keep up the pressure."

They swiftly pass the figure's attempt to grab them. Kislap slides under the figure and slammed him weapon crushing the figure's knees. Kulog vaults over the figure and slams her weapon on its face. Kislap runs back and grabs the spear away from it.

The two moved away from a safe distance to see if the magic will heal the figure from afar and it didn't. The figure is kneeling in pain and holding its face as screams. Kislap and Kulog, fist bump. "We did it sis!"

The two let their guard down for a moment and without realizing it, they doomed themselves. The figure extends its arms, it made telepathic link with the spear. The spear immediately levitates from Kislap's grasp, like someone tug it out from his grasp. The spear them rotates and takes a swipe on them.

Kulog sees this and jumps out of the way; she shield herself with her weapon and but the spear manage to cut her arm – deep cuts that began to bleed her.

Kislap was not lucky. Despite his speed he cannot outrun the spear since he was nearest to it. When the spear rotates, it manages to slice his chest. And in an instant, Kislap collapse on the floor bleeding profusely. The spear then flies back to the hands of the figure and the same healing magic courses thru its body to heal the damage.

"Kislap!" Kulog rushes beside her brother to tend to his wounds but before she can treat it the figure comes charging toward their direction. Kulog filled with rage gets her brother's weapon and channeled her magic thru it. She raised the two metal rods and slammed it together. The shock wave was so loud that it stopped the figure from approaching the two of them. The streets and building near them collapse as the shocked wave passed thru. Kulog's eyes glow bright blue and her jet black hair vibrates as the same intensity she sends her magic thru her weapons.

She slammed her rods again and redirects the sound blast on to the figure. The blast was her fury, to see the monster that damage her brother dead is her will, her vengeance knows no bound. She was careful before on not damaging the town but the gloves are off. "You will die tonight monster!" She screamed.

Kulog slammed the weapons again and again. Each slam, she moves closer and the more she got closer the more figure takes damage. Each sonic blast destroys the clothing and skin. Even if the wounds heal, the figure can't retaliate from Kulog's endless barrage as the sound blast was too intense. After dealing enough damage, the clothing that once shrouds the figure's face was gone – it was a hideous sight to see. It is a monster, white eyes, yellow teeth, and bald head but with flesh melted and molded together like he was melted half way then was pull out of the oven. His face bears a lot of scars and his lips are scorched black.

The figure is cornered and got nowhere to run Kulog stopped channeling her magic on her weapons and instead took an deep breathe and screamed at the figure. The sound was so loud that the birds and other creatures around the area began to scatter. The sound emits powerful blast enough to turn solid rocks into dust. The blast was intense the figure is being crushed by her magic.

Despite the spear healing him, it cannot keep up with the damage but the figure remained firmed and tries to withstand her magic. The figure smiles at Kulog, taunting her that this attack is will not kill it. It pissed Kulog even more and walks nearer to the figure keeping screaming until it cannot regenerate anymore.

And then the unthinkable happened. The figure impales its own foot with the spear so Kulog's magic won't blow him away. He turned his right hand into a fist, grabs his right arm with his left and tears it off then threw its right arm into Kulog.

This unorthodox attached also caught her off guard. When she saw the figure impale itself with the spear and tear off its own hand, she was unsure what to do that she was distracted by the sight and was unable to prepare from this attach. She thought that the figure decided to kill itself but no, it decided to fight back.

The flying fist hits her throat and damaged her throat. She grasp for air as the attack manage to crush her windpipe. She is trying to focus but the pain was unbearable. She looks up and saw the figure stands up and the torn right arm grow back with the spear's magical properties.

She grabs her weapon and tries to defend herself and if it comes to it, she is to exhaust her magic to kill this figure with her. The figure readies itself as it prepares to throw its spear to her. Kulog tries to concentrate but without enough air breathe her visions starts to blur. She can't focus and she started to cough blood. The figure laughs and raised the spear.

BAM!

Out of nowhere, Gil emerged and hit the figure across the cheek. The blow was so powerful that it dislocates the jaw of the figure. Gil throws a pouch to Kulog's footing. "Open it! Eat it and give some to your brother! GO!"

Gil was followed a huge wave of water behind him and used it to shield himself from the figure's constant barrage of throwing huge rocks. Kulog opens the bag and there lays a two berries of golden orange color. Kulog ate one of it and she saw the same golden orange glow flowed thru her body and in an instant healed her – just like the figure that attacked her.

For the first time in Kulog's human life, she felt fear for her and Kislap's life. She thought the devil's due has arrived but luckily Gil just arrived in time to save them. She hurries back to her brother and while dodging the attacks between two powerhouses battling in the middle of the town.

The night is still young and the battle has just begun.
