Running Away

When everyone was asleep, I snuck out of the house and into the woods, immediately shifting into my wolf form. I follow my nose to my Father and the pack, and I immediately sense that something is wrong. I look around but I don't find anyone, I sniff the air and realize the scent of Father and the pack are stale, only three days old at the latest. "No no no no no! He said that they would remain here despite how little prey there is during the winter!" I bark, whimpering at the idea of something bad happening to Father.

Just then I hear a voice with an elvish accent say, "Your pack is safe, I lead them to somewhere warmer. I can take you to them." Just then an elf with brown hair, blue eyes, and a white owl on his shoulder jumps down from a nearby tree. "My name is Owle Forest and my little friend here is Hedwig." The elf says with a kind smile. "Come on! Follow me." He says, leading the way into a sunny forest.

"Wait. Sunny forest? But how? It's the cold season?!" I think to myself, awed by the strange magic of this strange forest.
