65 The Gift

"Mr Kiel, are you–alright?"

Anna blinked and scanned the man from head to toe. His creasy white polo with two buttons tuck off from his collar and his rolled-up sleeves to his elbow.

She leaned closer to brush his hair that looks messy. However, as soon as her hands touched the tip of his hair, she flinched and backed away. 

"I am cleaning in the office and moving boxes. You don't need to worry, Miss Anna." the guy said, lifting the box in his embrace after taking the water in one go. 

He turned around. "I will be going now." he left the pantry.

Anna gulped and felt the atmosphere alone. She slowly put the cup of water down on the counter. The scent she smelled was Devyn's pheromones, right? If she was not mistaken. That's not a simple smell. 

Kiel came from the president's office and went down to get some water, so she happened to see him too. Anna clenched her fist, feeling the heavy needles piercing inside her.
