In the sky

My name is Lim Jaeyoon, a 19 year old normal teenager who's only wish is to play games and read novels all day in a world of awakened and systems and such nonsense

I did not condone to risking my life for such things like raiding dungeons and other things the awakened people do,it's stupid!

But on my 18th year i suddenly got awakened!

Yes,me!

"You're gonna be going to the most prestigious school for the awakened, why don't you smile a little?" My mother says as she hugged me with a wide smile on her face

My father standing behind her, a very proud smile on his face too with a suitcase beside him, what an annoying situation, you're son might die!please don't be too happy

"Hi Mrs and Mr Lim" A voice rang beside us

A boy and a lady appeared

They are our next door neighbour,a family of five and they and our family has been together ever since I could remember

The boy name is Kim Yeobin, a very weird boy that I unfortunate has to take care of since diaper days

He is a year younger than me but he's significantly taller, I'd think of him as handsome if only I did not witness him growing up, yes, a lot happened

And yes, he is an S class, how surprising…..

His family wanted me to be his guardian of some sort so they admitted him into the same school and push him up a year so we could be in the same class too

He's fine, I'll admit that, but the problem is I'm not, I'm lazy as heck, my only passion is games and novels and sometimes my skin care, yes I'm a skincare enthusiast, what about it?

He is always the class president, the teacher's pride and joy, the 1st rank holder and the school heartthrob, and I'm everything opposite to him

I'm average in every way, looks, grade, behaviour, everything, the grannies love me though

I'm not a bad kid, I just do not care for getting high grades and such

And having a high scoring neighbour means I have to endured comparision

And for some reason I have to sit with him in every family gathering and celebration, most of the time to celebrate his achievement, his family is loaded so celebration happens every week, on the bright side that means I can eat good food every week

He is smaller than me most of our childhood, he also doesn't talk much and would just follow me silently like a shadow

But puberty hit him like a truck, he grew up to become 6+ feet, his face mature in a very handsome way all in the span of about a year while me?puberty hit me like a dirty water splashing on my face because if I do not take care of my skin, acnes thinks it's an unclaimed land just waiting for them

As us two families mingled and talked among one another a voice suddenly speaks, which seemingly only me and Yeobin can hear "prepare for take off" the female voice says

Take off?from where?

Lights surrounded me and Yeobin, our parents looking at us from the side, my mother's eyes is red but her smile never left, they raised their hand and waved, they do not know when they will see us again

And all of a sudden, the environment changed, and my sight was filled with cloud, I heard a faint gasps from beside me when I turned around

And saw the most magnificent sight ever

What lies in front of me is a huge establishment floating in the sky, it looks unreal

A big gate protected the building in it

I see many other people, all equally confused and amazed by the sight

These people will be my classmate

And this will be the school I will be attending as an A class awakened.
