Chapter 9: Bad Omen

It's been seven months since my father taught me swordsmanship.

"that's wrong!" father said, angry.

"Then why are you here," said father.

"Please, sir, help us!" said the second and third knight.

"calm down, you two," said father.

"an ancient dragon run amok at the city. Nearly half of the kingdom are gone."

I noticed my mother's pale skin. Get paler.

"Paulo. How's mother and father?" said mother

"well..." said Paulo.

Mother collapses in shock

I hurried up to hug her.

Father goes to the attic.

He dug at the soft spot on the floor and found a giant box

'what is he doing? is he hesitating?'

"I'm sorry I buried you," said father while stroking the box

father opened the box.

In the center of the box is a heavy sword.

father got up and went outside.

we said our goodbyes

mother and father shared a passionate kiss

"ill see you back," said father

"Please be careful," said mother worried

"yeah." said father

"Ares, take care of your mother. Watch out for wild bears."

"certainly," I said.

Father questioned Paulo.

"how long did it take to get here?"

"about fifteen days, captain."

"can these horses last that long?"

"these war horses are bred to do so."

"then let's go. Hup hup!" said, father.
