1 The First Meeting (Parte 1)

At night in the city Hong Kong was very busy, especially the streets of bars and clubs, you can see young people walking everywhere, with different types of hair colors and clothes. There were young girls in revealing clothes and more modest ones, handsome men full of warm blood for love affairs.

The violet and red neon lights flashed attractively on the sign of a local bar: "Give Me One More."

This was a bar where the gay community met every night, especially on weekends. There were people of all kinds, from white-collar workers, even those who liked to dress up in women's clothing.

Gay bars have been spreading like grass in an open field, and every street would have one or two gay bars, disguised as modern Western-style bars, which allowed many men and women to go to these bars without being pressured by society.

Zemin Yan works as a waiter for the Give Me One More bar, this was a part-time job that paid well, despite the different and very flashy atmosphere of this place of work, he enjoyed working there, was pleased to earn his own money.

"Hey, little Yan! Bring me two heavy lemon vodkas and a Dry Martini, just the way I like it! "A tall, handsome man called Zemin Yan and placed his orders. This was already a visitor who was considered of the house, because this person all weekend appears in the bar and always looking for a new love of one night.

Beside this tall, handsome man were two delicate young men, both of whom seemed a little shy looking around at the surroundings, seeing the mass of people passing by and looking at the "dance floor" where various bodies mingled to the beat of the music-heavy electronics.

Zemin Yan just smiled at the two young men, who seemed to have been embarrassed and even more shy as they watched the waiter's pure and benevolent smile.

The waiter took the order and left quickly, passing other tables, taking other orders, crossing with other waiters, and exchanging greetings with frequent customers.

Zemin Yan liked this bar, although not the normal type of bar, there was an interesting and new atmosphere to it that came from a very traditional and rule-oriented family.

"Cody, two lemon vodkas, one Dry Martini, two glasses of Merlot wine, four glasses of christened soda, and one glass of our famous cruel blue drink!" Zemin Yan asked the bartender that he had several orders until the end neck, besides the people at the bar.

The bartender's assistants quickly put the drinks on Zemin Yan's tray, the waiter smiled at the two bartenders' assistants, these were recent high school students, they were working to raise money for when they entered university.

Zemin Yan quickly delivered all drinks, just in time for his break to begin, so after delivering all orders, the 22-year-old waiter went to a more secluded spot at the bar to rest. He had a 30-minute break before returning to work for another hour and a half.

The Give Me One More bar had two floors, the first floor was for the general public, where there was a dance floor with electronic music, a huge bar, several tables scattered here and there, also a part with sofas and tables, too there was a kind of kitchen that was used to make the snacks and few meals that the waiters took for customers. In the corner near the couches were two fast-food snack machines, such as chips and sweets.

The second floor was a totally different contrast to the first floor, as the second floor was considered the VIP area. This second floor was divided into two parts, the first part was open and you could observe everything that happened on the first floor. The second part was soundproof and could not hear anything, it was also completely blocked, ensuring complete isolation of the customer.

Zemin Yan was just a part-time worker, so he could not become a second-floor waiter, but the staff room was on the second floor so it was not often unusual for the first-floor waiter to come by.

As Zemin Yan climbed the stairs to the second floor, in a class 2 VIP room a group of friends laughed and joked. They were all men in their thirties, the youngest at thirty and the eldest at thirty-five, they wore designer and formal clothes.

Lan Ruan sighed as he watched his increasingly drunken friends, only his best friend Zhong Liang remained serious and kept drinking in his glass quietly while the other men laughed loudly, sometimes throwing peanuts at each other.

Zhong Liang looked like a young nobleman drinking his drink, his long, calloused fingers gently holding the glass, his thin pink lips looking very attractive as he spilled his drink. His dark eyes seemed to absorb all the light around him, his eyebrows soft as if they were painted, but it did not detract from the man's masculine and powerful aura at all.

"No matter if he's a cop or not, he can't hide that he's one of the Zhong Family's heirs," Lan Ruan thought to see his unflappable friend, while the other men looked like preschoolers in their little peanut war.

Lan Ruan also comes from a large rich family, but his family could not compare to a family as old as the Zhong Family, which had the power within the government and in the military. Unlike his best friend, Lan Ruan just decided to accept that he was an heir to a rich family and took over the family business, while Zhong Liang went against it all and chose to pursue a police career.

This may come from the fact that his family was murdered and he was raised by his paternal grandfather, old Zhong. The murder of his family still remains a mystery. Of course, there were a number of malicious rumors about mafia involvement or even professional killers that Zhong Liang's relatives would have hired to kill his parents.

Nothing has ever been proven and the case has been closed, even old Zhong refuses to comment on this terrible crime. At the time Zhong Liang was ten years old, he remembered little at that time, he was found in a wardrobe where he was locked and tied while the body of his parents and brothers were lying on the floor next to this wardrobe.

Old Zhong was very angry about Zhong Liang's decision to be a policeman, he preferred that his grandson at least enter the military, but Zhong Liang was very resolute in his decision.

Of course, old Zhong gave his ungrateful grandson a deadline, he could play cop until he turned 35, after which Zhong Liang would have to take over the family business, especially the business of his late parents. Unfortunately, this was something Zhong Liang could not deny, after all, it was the company his parents gave their all to build, at least Zhong Liang must keep this company stable in honor of his late parents.

This was also an incentive for Zhong Liang to never stop looking for his parents' killers as he had a deadline to stay in the police. He entered the police as soon as he finished the university at the age of twenty-two, at twenty-five he was no longer a simple neighborhood cop and became a patrol officer with a partner. At age 27 he stepped up again to become an assistant investigator working with another partner; at age 29 he had become a Principal Investigator of the Archived Case Unit, or known as Cold Cases or Unsolved Cases.
