[Treasury]

'Somehow I feel free. Zero is now dead, and from now on, I will live according to my desires, whatever they may be…'

Although I already had an idea of how it works, I still asked: "System, what are the functions of the treasury?"

[The treasury contains all the treasures the former progenitor collected over thousands of years. Now that you are his successor, they naturally belong to you.]

[Another function is that you can also store any items you wish. The treasury will classify them according to their level and assign them a specific place.]

[To open and close the treasury, you just have to say the command "Bex" in your mind, and you will be able to access the item panel. Currently, the host only has access to the common rank, and as your strength grows, you will be able to access artifacts according to your rank.]

'I didn't expect to get an epic weapon from the start, much less. I guess it's fair after receiving so many gifts, but it could do more harm than good.'

'Bex'

........

Soon, a panel appeared before his eyes...

A young man with a handsome appearance dressed in completely black light armor could be seen running swiftly through the forest. His dark hair flowed in the wind as he skillfully dodged branches and roots in his path.

'Now that I've chosen the necessary equipment, I should join the adventurer's guild. It would be the best option in my current situation; at least I can increase my strength…'

'My appearance might attract most people's attention, but at most, they'll think I'm some noble sent to gain experience.'

After running for a while through the forest, the density of the trees began to gradually decrease, giving way to a clearing illuminated by the last rays of the afternoon sun.

He continued advancing towards the city of Lunid. As he approached, the city's high stone walls became visible in the distance.

Upon arriving at the city's entrance, he was greeted by the guards guarding the imposing gates.

The guards exchanged looks, evaluating the newcomer with an extraordinary appearance, presumably a young master of a noble clan seeking adventure.

One of the guards, a middle-aged man with a serious but courteous expression, said: "Halt there, I need you to show your Passage Permit," and continued, "Also, the entrance fee is 1 silver coin, and if you do not carry identification from any institution or citizenship, you will be fined 10 silver coins."

The guard's tone was formal but not hostile, indicating the importance of following the city's entry procedures.

Observing the guards, Aethereis thought, 'Hmm… Most of these guards are in the "rare" rank; the strongest is barely a 5-star rare warrior. In comparison, I'm still weak…'

"I'll pay the fine then." Throwing a pouch with the coins, he waited for the guard's response.

"Very well, you may enter. Enjoy your stay in Lunid."

Nodding slightly, Aethereis walked through the gates, blending into the crowd under the watchful eyes of the guards.

Scene Change

Walking through the busy streets of Lunid, Aethereis arrived at his destination: a magnificent building standing majestically near the city's center, the mansion of the current ruler of Lunid, the Count of Lunid, standing out among the surrounding structures with its distinctive architecture. It was a two-story stone construction with an imposing and robust façade that reflected the resilient nature of its inhabitants.

Entering through the solid wooden double doors, he was greeted by the lively sounds of voices and laughter mixed with the clinking of coins and the creaking of weapons being prepared. In the center of the hall, a large shield with the guild's emblem hung above a bulletin board full of pending contracts and missions. The atmosphere was full of activity, with adventurers forming groups, discussing strategies, or enjoying meals together. Some were absorbed in selecting suitable missions from the provided tablets, inserting their identification cards to access the available missions.

Aethereis momentarily drew the attention of the adventurers who were engrossed in their activities, either because of his handsome appearance or the impressive armor that denoted wealth just by looking at it.

Walking with confident steps, Aethereis, with an indifferent face not caring about the looks he received, approached the counter where four beautiful receptionists were stationed, noting the signs behind them indicating "Mission Registration and Information, Mission Completion and Rewards."

Breaking the uncomfortable atmosphere, one of the receptionists coughed: "Ahem, ahem, ahem, ahem." After an awkward moment, all the adventurers returned to their own business as if nothing had happened, although they occasionally glanced at this new rookie; it would be hard to forget a face like his, so it wasn't difficult to deduce that he was new to the guild.

Approaching the registration counter, Aethereis was greeted by a pale-skinned beauty with black hair and piercing blue eyes. Trying to maintain a calm façade, though a slight blush could be seen on her cheeks, she stammered: "H–h-hello, my name is Samira. How can I help you?"

Aethereis, still unperturbed, simply raised an eyebrow at Samira's actions and then said:

"Hello, I want to register as an adventurer."

Nodding at his words, Samira proceeded to explain the basic information and some of the benefits of joining the guild.

First, adventurers are ranked from F- to S+. In the traditional power system, the F- rank would equate to a common 0-star warrior/mage, F rank to a 5-star common warrior/mage, and F+ rank to a 9-star common warrior/mage, and so on up to S+. By being affiliated with the guild, adventurers are rewarded with 100 gold coins and 10 gold coins each month as a salary; this amount can increase as your rank gets higher. Additionally, by affiliating with an organization, you can use teleportation matrices to travel from one city to another and even to other branches on another continent. The latter is reserved for epic-rank adventurers and above. Also, you can enter any city or kingdom of that place without a citizenship document, and lastly, you can sell and buy herbs or parts of the monsters you kill directly to the guild at a higher price than if you were to sell them to a merchant.

Once she finished her explanation, Samira took out a rectangular object made of metal with a notch in the front and a circular hole glowing blue.

"This is an artifact that allows us to see a person's rank, age, and elemental affinities."

"You need to place your finger on the notch; you'll feel a slight prick, and then it will display a hologram with the mentioned data."

Nodding, Aethereis placed his finger on the notch and felt a slight discomfort as a small needle pricked him.

Looking at the device, it began to glow until a hologram materialized...
