Chapter 68 Blade

Next day

Arthur wore his iconic uniform. He looked to his mirror image.

" Not bad. Well let's go and find our new member."

Arthur dissapeared like light. His silhouette was so fast that even shadows can't be seen.

In the dark alley of New York. Arthur took off his hood. He turned into his vampire form. Disgusting smell of blood filled Arthur's nose. Arthur showed a disgusted look. He really hates this so called vampire party. Arthur directly went to the club. He snapped his finger. Bodyguards stood stiffly

" Thank you and forget what you saw."

Bodyguards nodded mechanically. Arthur didn't care as he walked to the club.

Bara boom*

Heavy techno music is pplayed by DJ. Arthur frowned. He went to the bar.

" One tequila with ice. Also give me a bag of chips."

Bartender asked with curiosity

" You really want to eat chips in the club."

Arthur raised his eyebrows

" Is there any problem?"

Bartender shook his head. He prepared Arthur's order immediately. Suddenly one man picked up the microphone

" Now ladies and gentlemen let's take a glimpse at our menu today."

The girls with chain came into the club. All vampires showed an eager look except Arthur. Arthur drinks his tequila calmly. He looked to his watch

" He should be here soon."

After Arthur finished his words.

Boom*

Powerful solar grenade exploded in the middle of dance stage. A black man with two swords came towards to vampires. Vampire leader shouts

" Kill him, it is a day walker."

Arthur silently snapped his finger. Blood red energy cut down the chains. He freed humans from their misery. Arthur's cold red eyes flowed in the darkness. He looked at to the girls

" Run if you don't want to die."

Girls ran fanatically. Of course Arthur cleared their way. Vampire leader looked at Arthur. His intuition told this vampire is a bad deal. Leader gritted his teeth

" Shoot them. Let's see if these fuckers can die."

Blade said with indifference

" I don't know who you are but we will talk after this."

Arthur smiled

" Sure."

Blade shot towards the incoming vampires. His movements were fast and neat. Blade didn't show any weakness against his enemies. Arthur silently eats his chips. Every vampire around him will turn into bloody mess. Blade didn't see this, he focused on his battle. Leader said with fear

" Do you know my boss? He is the leader around here. You should know his name."

Blade said coldly

" Tell it to Frost that I will take his head someday."

Blade threw his solar grenade and left without saying anything. Arthur followed along him.

In the laboratory of Abraham Whistler

Arthur sat down on the couch. He looked around him with curiosity.

" You know your lab isn't that bad. I like it here."

Abraham ignored Arthur's remarks. He directly asked Blade

" Who the fuck is this?"

Blade said without care.

" Vampire. If he shows anything that is suspicious, kill him."

Abraham nodded. He looked back.

" You heard that."

Blade sat down. He asked with a cold voice

" So what is your purpose?"

Arthur pointed at him.

" You specifically. I want you to join my team."

Blade shook his head.

" I won't join forces with vampires."

Arthur smiled

" Who said I am a vampire. Look closely."

Arthur turned back to his human form. Abraham shouts

" This is unscientific. You are clearly vampire. How did you do that?"

Arthur grinned

" My ability. I can change to any lifeform that I want to."

Abraham stared Arthur. He found Arthur's face is really familiar. But he couldn't tell it. Blade frowned

" Is there anyone that has same abilities like you?"

Arthur shrugged his shoulders.

" Who knows but they can't beat our team."

Blade asked with a serious tone

" What is your team name?"

Arthur chuckles

" They call us the Avengers."

Kacha*

Abraham lost his cup. It was broken into the pieces. Blade was dazed. They never thought that someday they will be invited into the Avengers. Abraham gulped

" What you are saying is it truth?"

Arthur nodded

" Of course. I invite you with my sincere heart. Besides Avengers need fresh blood that can deal with other races like vampires."

Blade showed hesitation

" I will consider it carefully. After that I will contact you."

Arthur gave his name card.

" This is my name card. Call me when you made your choice."
