Chapter 48 Talk
Arthur wore his formal suit. He combed his hair and wore his favorite watch. Arthur sprayed his perfume on himself
" Jean shall we go?"
Jean was dazzled by Arthur's look. He was like a prince who came out from stories. Arthur looked to Jean
" Jean are you alright?"
Jean woke up. She smiled awkwardly
" Master, you look good."
Arthur smiled
" Is that so? I have never dressed this seriously before."
Jean's eyes shone.
" Master, you must dress like this. You look good."
Arthur laughed
" If you say so. Let's go now."
1 hour later
Arthur steps into Tony's penthouse. His look shocked many guests. After all he is young, handsome, rich, smart and most importantly he is a giant in business field. Many people immediately went to greet Arthur. Jean frowns
" Master why did you come here?"
Arthur smiled
" Tony invited me. I need to talk with him."
Jean nodded
" I understand, master."
Suddenly
Big hand touches Arthur's clothes. Arthur looked back with surprise.
" Steve, why are you here?"
Steve said awkwardly
" Tony dragged me here. He is changing his clothes."
Arthur chuckles
" Guess, you had a hard time."
Steve sighed
" I know right. However I didn't know you are interested in this event."
Arthur shrugged his shoulders
" I don't like this type of event. It is too annoying. Look everyone tries to please me."
Steve looked around.
" It seems even you had a hard time."
They laughed together. Many guests watched Steve with envy. Jean silently stood beside Arthur.
" Oh what is so funny?"
Arthur smiled softly
" Hill you are here."
Hill smiled back
" Of course , I would be here. Look at those women, they are eating you in their eyes."
Arthur noticed this, he gulps down
" Guys, let's go to upstairs. Pepper should be there."
Steve also shuddered
" Let's go."
They went to upstairs. Pepper was waiting them there. She greeted them
" Long time no see Hill."
Hill smiled
" You too, Pepper."
Two of them chatted together. Arthur gestures
" Jean go there. You have to study about current world's culture and society."
Jean looked helplessly as she went there. Steve looked outside
" So tell me Arthur, what is your reason to be here?"
Arthur watched Steve
" Steve, time is changing. Our power needs to be strengthened, we need more power."
Steve said with asking tone
" Why? Avengers are enough to deal with supervillains."
Suddenly
" Because we can't save the earth alone."
Arthur nodded
" Tony you are here."
Steve smiled
" So what do you mean?"
Tony sat down
" Steve, I needed you to be here because Arthur wanted to say something."
Arthur nodded
" Look at these."
Arthur showed various videos that recorded superhumans activities. Steve frowned. He felt something is wrong.
" You are saying."
Arthur agreed
" Yes. After Avengers were assembled, these humans came out frequently. Whether they are superheroes or not, we can't deal with them. Even S.H.I.E.L.D can't handle them."
Steve pondered
" So you are saying we should recruit more members to Avengers."
Arthur nodded
" Yes. In fact I had a talk with Tony before. He also agreed."
Steve looked Tony. Tony smiled helplessly
" We aren't omni gods. We can't deal with them."
Steve nodded
" Then I agree your proposal but why didn't you tell it it Fury?"
Arthur sighed
" S.H.I.E.L.D is for government. We can't let them know or else government will try to control us."
Steve understands his words. Even he is loyal to America, he thinks freedom is better.
" I understand. So who will we recruit first?"
Arthur showed various photos.
" Steve this is your target."
Steve picked up the photo
" Daredevil, it seems he is a justice messenger like us."
Arthur nodded
" He is very valuable force that can deal underground people."
Steve nodded. Tony picked up the photo
" So this is my target. I never thought I will recruit new members. Luke Cage, person with superhuman strength. Pretty practical ability."
Arthur nodded
" As for me this."
Steve looked to Arthur's choice. He asked with concern
" Are you sure?"
Arthur nodded
" Yes. He is essential for us to deal with other races in the earth."
On the photo there was a piece of information.
" Codename: Blade the daywalker. Race: Vampire"
