"Julivic Erstwhile"

Chapter 5

"Julivic Erstwhile"

"Phew! Phew!🔥"

Seeing the commotion caused by Wamaro, it reached the adjacent room where Julivic was. It also caused their other companions to wake up. Those who had not yet woken up were disoriented and bruised.

"Red alert! Oh! From room 21A. No. No. Maybe 20A," mumbled Julivic while checking the monitor.

Julivic quickly went through Room 20A to find out what was going on, especially with Wamaro.

"Chill, cute boy," Julivic said with an exaggerated smile, trying to explain to Wamaro what was happening.

Julivic was unaware that one of Ciboro's children was in her vicinity. She just assumed it was another human being.

"Where am I?" asked Wamaro.

"You have a strong aura. I can sense it. It's remarkable," she responded.

She sensed the unusual energy from this boy, so she was intrigued to catch up and experiment. It had also been several years since she had felt anyone with an aura like this, apart from Doctor Bharit.

"I asked you, where am I?!" Wamaro angrily asked again.

"Wait a minute. Come this way," she responded and guided Wamaro to follow her.

They passed by the padded cell near Wamaro's room, which promptly blew up!

"Boom!"

Because of this incident, she once again remembered the painful things that happened to her when she was young. Reflecting on those times, she remembered the events that shaped her into who she is today.

(Six years ago on Kitcho Island)

"Mama, wake up. Papa, what's wrong with you? Why are you sleeping here on the floor?" wondered Julivic.

The people there were facing her. She realized that the red water had filled around her.

"Mama! Papa!"

She didn't know what it was called, but later she found out that it was called blood. Until a majestic woman came and picked her up.

"Come here, young child. What have you done?" — Julivic asked this woman.

"Did you do this?!" she added.

"Hang that murderer!"

"Punish that killer!"

"She's a demon!"

The words she heard were still constant. There was outrage, yelling, and imprecation. She was forced to speak by others, and most of those present spoke badly of her.

"Murderer, killer, and demon!"

These were the words that she would never forget. She was castigated and punished. She was asked questions that she couldn't understand. After all, she was only five years old and couldn't comprehend what was going on.

"I don't understand. I need to see them. Where are my Mama and Papa?" requested Julivic.

"Just admit your mistakes!" the Head Police Nun shouted at her. She interrogated Julivic for almost two days but still couldn't find any evidence against her.

Even Julivic herself was confused and unsure if she had actually done it.

"How can a five-year-old be so brutal?" asked one of the police nuns.

"Do you mean she could be considered one of the victims or did she commit such a heinous crime?" questioned the Head Police Nun.

"I remember now," Julivic interrupted them.

The only thing she could recall were the screams of her mother, father, and uncle, who was her mother's brother. She couldn't find her younger brother during that time. Eventually, she lost consciousness and only woke up to the commotion outside their small home. She was unaware of the fate of her family.

After she recounted everything she could remember, her judgment remained undecided.

The Kitcho Islands are a place that experiences constant rainfall. Ostensibly, this island is a rainforest, led by two Madremonte Queens who defend, conserve, and protect nature.

Recognized as the guardians of animals and people living on Isla Kitcho, they have regulations, duties, and obligations. One of their severe punishments is for those who kill humans or animals, devastate, desolate, and destroy nature without a valid reason.

"Based on the verdict of the Madremonte Queens, you have been proven innocent or not guilty," declared the judge.

"But as compensation for your iniquity, you will remain inside the convent forever," she added.

Since Julivic was the main culprit in the murder of her parents and Uncle Lucio, she was sentenced to a period of imprisonment in the Crusade Monastery.

This is immurement for people who have committed serious sins. They pray daily, serve the nuns, study their Holy Book, and are unrestrained within the monastery. This is also what most of them think, so the island is filled with blessings, and it always rains because it is to honor the God they worship.

One morning, while she was among the people praying in the convent, an image suddenly appeared.

"Are you the Divine Almighty?" — Julivic asked, surprised.

But only she can visualize it. She begins to believe in miracles, and God appears only to her.

"How is it possible, a young kid like you can see me?"—this mysterious guy asked.

"I always see you here in this library."—she replied.

"You're extraordinary!"—amazed the gentleman.

"No, I'm a murderer, killer, and daughter of a demon."—she answered.

"Don't say that phrase."—he was concerned.

Later on, Julivic rummaged through it as only Doctor Bharit appeared to her. Specifically, she was impressed with Doctor Bharit because it suddenly floated to their emplacements, which only Madremontes Queens can do. Later, they talked secretly. Doctor Bharit rarely comes here to do some research on the books that can only be found here.

As a doctor, Bharit sees Julivic's potential, not because she is an ordinary creature who heeds her presence. This sentence is unclear and needs to be rephrased for clarity.

Instead of killing this young girl, he offered Julivic to come with him and be relieved from the burden of her worst situations. "Disencumbered" is not a commonly used word and can be replaced with "relieved."

(•••Back to the present time•••)

"Are you okay?" Wamaro asked, worried as he supported the unconscious Julivic. He patted her face to wake her up.

Wamaro was stunned to notice a girl about his age who seemed jittery, anxious, and had staring eyes. He struggled to wake her up and wanted to help her.

"BOOOHH!"

Suddenly, one of the creatures attacked him. It was Experiment 20Ag or E20A, the first creature to wake up among the four of them inside the computerized hutch.

"Who are you? Are you the one responsible for all of this?!" Wamaro asked.

He slowly started moving towards him. Suddenly, he blasted Wamaro, and that's when the battle began!

"Phew! Phew!"

"Boom!"

Wamaro had a hard time hitting his opponent due to their speed of movement. He wanted to help Julivic, who he believed was in danger like him.

"How can I hit him?" he muttered.

He tried to move forward, but he couldn't.

Throwing here, throwing there. Falling, slamming, kicking. Punching here, punching there. It continued like that for a while until Julivic snapped out of her trance.

"I won't let you down, Doc," mumbled Julivic. Then she transformed into her true identity!

Everyone was shocked when she evolved into her HaO form.

(A few minutes later)

Just as they were about to evacuate the area in Ahn-ahn's spacecraft, they unintentionally detected a powerful energy nearby. They immediately headed towards it, hoping that it might be Wamaro.

"I found it," said Ahn-ahn gladly.

"I will beat you to death, Wamaro. Huhuhu," murmured Jrazm.

They had no trouble getting in because of Ahn-ahn's ability. The scientific equipment in front of them was startled until they witnessed their needy brother, Wamaro, come out of one of the rooms.

"WAMARO!?" — all of them were dumbfounded.

"Oh, WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU." shouted Tatukwe.

"HARRIS… IS IN A CRUCIAL… SITUATION…" — Endang said, utterly.

Rejoicing in sadness and pity because they saw him wounded, Jrazm mixed sentiments in her mind. She blamed Wamaro for what happened to Harris, but even he is also in a perilous situation.

"Sorry, Wamaro," regretted Jrazm.

Julivic's appearance improbably changed again. She almost killed Wamaro when she was out of her mind. Many inexplicable things happened.

"I was not myself," she exclaimed.

"Oh, sorry, Cute boy," expressed Julivic.

Julivic was exonerated for what he did while treating Wamaro and E20A.

The siblings are still crying over what happened to Harris, until Julivic didn't hesitate to help. She tried to contemplate on Harris' condition. He no longer has a heartbeat.

"Yes, it is," Julivic said.

Then she remembered one of the books she read at the Monastery about octopuses. She noticed Harris's resemblance to an octopus because of his hands.

According to the book by Doctor Mahendra, octopuses have three hearts. They have three hearts, which is partly a consequence of having blue blood. Their two peripheral hearts pump blood through the gills, where it picks up oxygen. The central heart then circulates the oxygenated blood to the rest of the body to provide energy for organs and muscles.

So Julivic tried to revive Harris's whole body and tried to turn it on, but still no effect.

"Why isn't it working for him?" she wondered.

"STOP!" screamed Tatukwe.

He could not stand what Julivic was doing. Hence, his anger evaporated, and he felt that Harris' body had less importance.

He scattered things all around and threw objects that fell apart. Sadly, Tatukwe hit the black metal equipment that was located at Harris' feet.

"Stop, Tatukwe. It's not helping the situation," spoke Endang.

"When will our suffering end?"

"We lost everything."

"Home. Parents. And now brothers?"

"Oh God, what is this?"

They sat on the ground, the dim light of Tatukwe's actions casting a gloomy atmosphere. Harris was even more devastated by his recklessness, his body collapsing to the ground. In the midst of their despair, a computerized box-shaped container filled with chemicals toppled over, adding to their distress.

"Blook!💦 Blook!💦"

It fell where Harris's body lay. The glasses shattered, and water spilled all over him.

"HARRIS!"

They screamed, their voices filled with anguish. Wamaro struggled to stand up, his movements hindered by his pain.

"See?! Look what you've done, Tatukwe!" yelled Jrazm.

Ahn-ahn immediately rushed to Harris's side. Endang couldn't hold back her tears. Jrazm, on the other hand, was shocked by the reaction, his hand still touching Tatukwe's body, which continued to emit a foul odor.

In the aftermath of the incident, Wamaro embraced his brother Harris, wiping away the tears streaming down his face. A few minutes later, Wamaro noticed a slight movement in one of Harris's fingers. He couldn't believe he had almost missed it.

"Maybe I'm just hallucinating," he talked to himself.

And then…

"Dugdug!🫀"

"DugDUG!!🫀"

"DUGGDUGG!!🫀"

Wamaro screamed! Furthermore, he explained what he had witnessed to Harris, but no one believed him. Although he was walking slowly, he approached the other siblings, so they could discover it themselves.

"Come and check his pulse. Check his heartbeat," he convinced everyone.

Until he removed the remaining objects that hit it. He suddenly thought to drink the water experimented on by Julivic (a liquid chemical that was broken).

"What are you doing, Wamaro? Just admit that he is already gone!" shouted Jrazm.

"No, Jrazm. Believe me, he's alive!" expressed Wamaro.

"Death is a part of the human lifecycle. Let's pray for him. Let us pray for his good fortune in heaven," spoke Julivic.

Wamaro thought he would get better and wake up, but nothing changed. At that time, he shed more tears and cried while hugging Harris. Because of this emotional event, those present in the room cried even more vociferously. Julivic prayed fervently to God at that time, asking for his soul to be received into his home.

"Bless those who pass away, eternal God, with the comfort of your love, so that their loved ones may face each new day with hope and the certainty that nothing can destroy the good that has been given. May their memories bring joy, may their days be enriched with goodwill, and may their lives be encircled by your love," prayed Julivic.

"Harris!" roared Tatukwe.

"I love you, brother," Ahn-ahn told him, and then she hugged him.

"Come back now. I promise I won't begrudge you for all the food I will cook," hollered Endang, but she turned back because she couldn't bear to stare at Harris's condition.

"Be careful there in the heavenly kingdom. I hope you will be cheerful there," Jrazm uttered. She then put her arms on Wamaro's shoulders, and they both smiled.

In the next few minutes, they stopped crying because they heard someone coughing where Harris was.

"It's a prank!" he wailed, even though he was indeed struggling.

"HARRIS‼️"—everyone was stunned at the same time.

He suddenly sat up and said it was a joke! Harris is alive. Most were laughing with tears of joy. This time, there was a trace of happiness on their faces. The one they had cried about, thinking they would never be together, is alive now and bustling.

"I don't have any idea how it transpired," he explained.

"The most important thing is that you are okay now!" said Wamaro.

They spent one more night in the laboratory, while Wamaro and Harris were still recuperating their energies. Julivic still couldn't stop pondering the circumstances of how the lifeless Harris came back to life.

"Maybe my prayer might have been heard. Or perhaps the inorganic substances that Wamaro gave Harris to drink just take a while? Nah. Aha!" mumbled Julivic.

She talked again in front of a mirror. She also thought that Wamaro's tears potentially healed Harris, just like Ahn-ahn's conception.

Indeed, she asked for three drops of Wamaro's tears to test and confirm it. They still don't believe Tatukwe's claim that there is a black shadow, and he persists that it is what healed Harris. He is the only one who confronted it.

"I honestly saw a black shadow, clearly, and presently Harris woke up," insisted Tatukwe.

According to Tatukwe's story, he saw the Shadow floating where Harris was, and it disappeared when Harris woke up. But no one believed him, perhaps because they thought he was mad at the time. Jrazm repeatedly warns her that if he doesn't stop, he will leave here, and he will become Julivic's lackey in this laboratory.

The next day, they plan to leave this laboratory. Julivic gave them medicines, other supplies, and money that they could use on their expedition. This time, they also have an idea of the direction in which the great Baba Matuwa is located.

"Thank you for everything," expressed Wamaro.

"You can come back here anytime you like. You all are welcome," answered Bulimic.

Before they left, everyone hugged Julivic to express their gratitude for helping them.

"Be careful with your adventures, Warriors of Ciboro!" bid farewell Julivic.

***

In the rear, after a few minutes, the unexpected arrival of Doctor Bharit made him angry with what he caught up in his laboratory. After Julivic explained what happened, she made up a story and passed it on to Doctor Bharit. She did not inform him that the Warriors of Ciboro were behind all this.

Doctor Bharit came with a creature for them to examine. They now have a total of six under review here. After a few minutes, Doctor Bharit left.

"Fix these things, Julivic," he ordered.

"Yes, I will, Doctor B."

"Do you need anything?"

"I need some germanium and bismuth, Doctor B. Kindly bring some food supplies whenever you come back."

After a few minutes, Doctor Bharit disappeared.

***

Two days later, Julivic had a theory about Wamaro's tears. She tried homogenizing Harris's blood sample with some chemicals. In her study, she found that the basic components of tears are electrolytes which contain sodium, potassium, chloride, bicarbonate, magnesium, and calcium.

It may have cured Harris when Wamaro's tears, which are composed of magnesium and sodium minerals, resembled seawater. So, it took five minutes before it had an effect because it didn't go directly to Harris's heart.

The background story of Madremonte:

She is the goddess of the moon. Because of her forbidden love for nature, she was punished by the rule of the gods. Afterwards, she was cast down to Earth and her body was divided into two: good and evil.

Living on Earth as a cursed goddess, she later built her kingdom, Kitcho Island. This is a place where the rain never stops, which is a symbol of her great sadness.
