1 CHAPTER 1

My name is Iris, I am from a faraway kingdom, called Philadelphia, I was trained to become a warrior princess and also learned the way of a princess, I never believed in true love, maybe because I was a princess, who spent most of her time training for war. I am very good at sword fighting and defense.

My parents king Phillip and Queen Adriana were the best parents a girl could ask for, they loved me very much, even though I wasn't the only child, I saw myself as their favorite, or maybe because I was the only female child they had.

We were three in numbers, I and my elder brothers, Dave and Clinton, they were much older and stronger than I was, we were happy together as a family, until when the happiness and love, were wrecked like a ship.

On a dark stormy day, the armies of Bulgaria's kingdom came for war, and the whole kingdom bathed with blood and misery. The warriors of my kingdom set out to face them with no fear, I thought of joining them in the battle, but as a princess, my mother encouraged me not to, so I had to stay back, but my brothers and my father fought alongside with them, I watched everyone die ruthlessly.

An arrow came out of nowhere and stabbed my mom in the chest, I busted into tears as I could see my mother dying, a last word to me was, to go far away from this kingdom and never come back, but mum you're, no do as I say, she cut me off, I was filled with anger as I saw her growl in pain, but there was nothing for me to do. Since then I had taken a vow to avenge, my family's death. I took a few supplies and I rode on my white stallion as fast as I could and went deeper into the woods.

I then found a great spot to set up a tent and a campfire I set out to get some tree branches, to set up the fire, I set up the tent and tied my mare stallion to a tree and fed it some carrots, fa a few hours later it getting late and the sky became darker, I decided to make some carrot pudding and went to sleep. A few hours later I heard a screeching sound, I stepped out of the tent to find out what it was, it was coming from a bush, behind the tent, I took a few steps forward and I found out that it was just ivy my female white stallion, trying to feed on the bushes, I helped her cut down some leaves from the shrub for her to feed on, and I went back to sleep.

The next morning, I woke up early to watch the sunrise, it has been my favorite thing to do, since childhood, now am 17 and steal learning new ways to survive in the woods, I went behind my tent to check on ivy, she was still asleep and I decided not to wake her, I hate breakfast, a few minutes later after the food had digest, I decided to do some sword practice, I wanted to train very hard with my sword, to be able to protect myself in the woods, I was no longer scared of the woods, being a warrior princess this wasn't my first time staying in the woods. A few hours later I heard the sound of footsteps coming from behind me.
