ACCIDENT

"Dinner's ready! ", a voice called out from the kitchen.

Jake grunted as he lazily got off the couch and turned off the TV.

His dad, came out of the study. They all sat down at the dinning table, eating quietly.

"Hmm...Jake, your teacher called me this evening and told me you bested your classmates in the pre-exams and you'll be representing your school in the regional debate competitions" his dad said and took a sip of juice.

"Yeah" he answered casually.

"That's hard to believe with his lazy attitude", he mother said and chuckled.

"Mum....I'm not that lazy, ya know. Dad, the regionals isn't really a big deal. ", Jake said and took another mouthful of rice.

They chatted for a little while, then afterwards, Jake did the dishes and went into his room.

He got unto his laptop and started gaming. He was still immersed in the game when his phone rang.

"Hey dude, what's up",Jake said as he paused the game.

"'m cool dude. Hey can you come out for a little while. Just us guys.", the other guy said.

"Hmm..... It's a bit late", he grunted.

"Don't worry, Drink's on me."

"Okay. At the usual joint? "

"You're such a terrible miser, pfft"

Jake put on a denim jacket and jeans and quietly left the house through the back door.

He arrived at a local bar and waved at his friend who was already seated.....

....30 minutes later.....

They left the bar and headed for Jake's house. They were both drunk and were walking irregularly as their vision was blurry.

At an intersection, a red Ferrari coming at a high speed, didn't have time to hit the breaks and hit Jake, his friend barely surviving the accident.

The driver quickly got out and examined him, blood was gushing out of his mouth.

He carried him into the back seat and drove towards the nearest hospital.

Jake was rushed into a ward immediately the man brought him there.

He took Jake's phone and checked his contacts, he quickly called his mom...

AT JAKE'S HOUSE

**RING***RING**

His mom and dad were making out as the phone rang...

"Who the heck is it at this time", his dad growled, obviously annoyed.

"It's Jake", his mother said quite alarmed.

She picked up the call....

"What's the matter Jake", she asked calmly

"Your son has been involved in an accident miss and is at first hospital, please come as fast as you can"

"What, but he's at home"

"I'm afraid you're wrong miss"

Then the line disconnects...

"What is it? " her husband asked.

"Jake's at the hospital"

A black Chevrolet swerved into the hospital parking lot.

Jake's mum and dad quickly rushed into the reception and were still asking for Jake's condition when a man in black suit walked up to them and asked, "Are you Jake's parents?"

"Yes", his mom replied hastily

"I'm the one who called you. Your son was drunk and walked into a road intersection while I was driving. I'm sorry for the problem I caused", he said and bowed lightly.

"It's not your fault, my son was as fault here. And you helped him. Thank you", his father said sincerely.

Then the doctor came towards them.

"So what's his condition?", his mum asked earnestly.

"He's okay but in a little bit of coma. He'll have to go through recuperation for now.", the doctor said and walked away.

HOWEVER.....

Jake finds himself in a place completely filled with darkness.

"Where am I", he shouted but only heard his echo.

Suddenly a voice rang out, "You're in a place of no return".

"Who are you?" Jake asked staring into the infinite darkness.

A white light appeared and out came a man in hooded robe with a giant scythe on his shoulder.

"The Reaper " he replied as he moved closer to Jake.

"Your body is in a state of comatose now. So I want to give you a chance to actualize one of your fantasies.", the grim reaper said.

"My fantasies?", Jake asked perplexed.

"You ask too much questions, blink your right eyes " the grim reaper said and placed his scythe on his back

Jake blinked his right eyes....
