Chapter 4 [ Awakening ]

It's been five more years. Currently Adam is six years old. With more energy and freedom, he was able to learn a lot more. He learned to read and write after asking a maid. The maid was his and his sister's wet nurse as well as nanny. She was called Celles. He asked her to teach him. She thought he was joking. But after knowing he learned the symbols and started reading and slowly writing, the maid made a grant event which made everyone in the Aldians household calling him genius.

After learning reading and writing, he asked everything the lady knows about the world and began reading knowledgeable books.

He understood that the weapons used in this world are Swords, Short Words, Bow, Heavy weapons like mallet or hammer, and Spear. Each weapon was hard to learn. Each weapon has different techniques. Only the Ancestors were the ones who could create the techniques. As no one lives such a long life, no one now had the ability to do it. But maybe there will be in the future.

Next was Magic. There are different elements used for magic. Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Dark, Light. Almost everyone had magic. Even if one is commoners or royalty, they have at least the least amount of talent for magic. For example, if there is a villager with light, he can at least cast a healing spell of lowest level. Talent differed from Nobles and royalties. Of course there were royalties with the lowest level of magic as well in the past. So everyone had a chance to learn magic.

The next thing he learned was that, almost everyone in this world has a single attribute. Only 10% of the total 100% had multiple which is at most two or three. He actually doesn't know his attitude yet. Because the attributes are only available after their 10 years of birth. No one knows the reason.

He began learning books about magic and elements. He was curious about other elements like, space, time, null, ice, lightning etc. Since this world has only six elements, there weren't any books explaining other elements. But there seems to be different magic for different species. For example, Demons have demonic magic which is actually Dark magic, then there's blood magic which is used by vampires. It is also dark magic. But there seems to be some kind of compatibility between genomes and elemental conversations.

There are some unique magic attacks to a kind of race. The dragon breath of the dragon race is a unique attack only used by them. If any other tried to use it, their body will explode. There seems to be strain for a level of attacks or techniques.

Speaking of races, there's actually, Demons, Elves, Vampires, Dragons, Demi-humans, Monsters aside from humans in this world.

Now he needs to wait for four more years before he can start training.

Four Years Later.....

"Addy...!"

There was a scream calling Adam by his nickname. It was none other than his twin sister Amanda. She, after gaining enough intelligence and some incidents, became too obsessed with her twin brother and always annoyed him.

However he never hated her. In fact he felt like he could destroy the entire world if it was for her. He knows that due to them being twins, they had an unusual bonding. They both loved and cared for each other. But her attitude sometimes annoys him. So he ran away to escape from her.

After running for a while he reached the garden in his mansion. There, he saw his mother Andrea with his older sister Amelia. His family was actually crazy people. They were actually quite overprotective of the twins. However Adam could understand this as it was due to their love.

"Mother..! Elder sister..!" Hearing a ten year old Adam calling them, both woman and girl turned towards him. As he reached them, he saw both of them had sad faces. Seeing this he asked,

"What happened Mother, Elder Sister..? Why do you look so sad...?"

They both looked at him and said in unison, "You've Changed Addy!"

Surprised by their words he was confused. Changed, how...?

"You actually stopped calling me mom..!"

"You actually stopped calling me Dear Sister..!"

They both said in unison again. What a match he thought. Then before they could say again, he said,

"I am learning the way of talking for noble meetings mom. I was only training. You too dear sister..."

Hearing his old way of calling them, they both smiled before kissing him on the cheeks. He smiled before kissing them on the cheeks back. As he was about to ask again, he felt very ominous. Without even turning around he ran away. He knew what it was.

"Don't run Addy!"

Hearing the familiar voice both Andrea and Amelia looked towards Amanda and asked, "What are you doing dear...? If you annoy him too much, he will hate you know...?"

Hearing her mother's words Amanda showed a panicked expression. Seeing this Amelia smiled before saying, "You should leave him Amy. We all know that he loves you very much. So you don't have to worry about him hating you"

Her sudden panicked expression morphed into a charming smile as she heard 'he loves you very much'. She coughed before saying, "Thank you Mom, Dear Sister. I will wait for him then" Saying this she left for the mansion.

Seeing her daughter, Andrea sighed. Noticing her mother, Amelia asked, "What is it Mom..? Are you worried about her..?"

"I don't know... I know that her love for him isn't like for a brother but a man. Whereas Addy loves her and treasures her as a sister. So I am kind of worried about how their relationship will change. After all I don't want my children fighting against each other."

Hearing her mother's words Amelia knew it was the truth. In this world there weren't any laws stating you can't marry related people. In fact they promote it due to being able to get pure bloodline. So they don't deem such relationships forbidden.

So Adam's parents were okay with both Adam and Amanda being future partners. But they knew their son's feelings were different. But they can only wait.

"I think given time he will accept Amy. I mean..he looks like he will protect her at any cost.. So I am pretty sure that he does not want any other man to touch her. Well he isn't grown up yet. So we can't be sure about his feelings later. We should wait..."

Andrea nodded.

Without even knowing, he was thrown into a never ending trouble. For now he has to awaken his attributes and get stronger. Within two months he will have the awakening ceremony and together with his sister, and then he will be trained using his choice of weapons and magic. If he wants, he can get into an academy at the age of 18. After the awakening of the 10th, he has five years to train.

After five years, that is on his 15th year, he will be given a task by the family to prove his growth from a child to an adult. Amanda is not forced to take a task since she is a girl and a magister. Since Andrea is a high ranked magister, she can teach her.

As for Adam, since his primary weapon will be sword or any other weapon instead of magic, he needs to prove it using a task. Of course if he was a magister only he wouldn't have a reason to do any task. But being a weapon user, he has to get experience in fighting and in killing.

At last the day of Awakening came. Adam was kneeling on the ground on one knee while his father, Arthur used a golden liquid and poured it on his head. Feeling nothing, Adam saw a notification on his System.

« Attributes awakening started.... »

« Awakened! »

« Adam. You can open the status interface to see your attributes »

'Hmm..? Ok' Upon opening he was shocked.
