The Wandering Sage

A single decision. Such a simple thing, and yet so many things change. The decision? Ashura was done with ruining the lives of so many children, and so many clans - just because his big brother was angry. It was time he fixed his messes, and shove his brother into the damned pure-realm. If this decision were to result in the saving of the entire world, and eventually the entire Multi-verse? Well, Ashura certainly hadn't predicted that. Hey all! I'll make this quick! Constructive criticism be it in reviews, or chapter comments are highly welcome, and if you have any questions or concerns - feel free to post them or PM me! (I do not own Naruto, nor do I own the picture I'm using. If you own this picture, feel free to PM me to tell me to stop using it!)

Chapter 1

As he stood behind his brother in all but blood, his sword stabbing him through his heart he couldn't help but feel as if he was the one stabbed. He can't help the moment of complete and utter rage that surges within himself, and something deep inside of him screams in agony over killing his brother again. Over, and over, and over. Shaking himself out of those confusing thoughts - he sighs and steps backward letting his brother fall forwards into the river. Taking a deep breath he lets out a sigh. Looking around, something inside him breaks, an entire country gone - just from a single fight from him and his brother. Slowly standing up straight he closes his eyes for a moment before he opens them, his eyes clear. Looking up, he notices the flash of red hair in the distance and grins, "Alright Mito! Let's go seal the Kyuubi!"

Sitting up with a gasp Ashura barely manages to stop his chakra from releasing, inwardly cringing slightly at almost destroying the inn from a nightmare. Grunting slightly, he sits up his legs falling over the side of his current bed. He then wipes the tears from his eyes and begins to rub his face for a moment. Sighing to himself he drops his hands before a small smile places itself on his face, and he regains his inner peace. Standing up and stretching for a few moments, he lets out an audible groan of relief as all of his muscles relax. Slowly sliding what is now known as Shinobi Sandals on his feet he ponders for a few moments 'I've visited all of the modern countries, except for what is collectively known as the big five. I guess next is the Land of Water, followed by Land of Lightning, Land of Earth, Land of Wind, and then finally Land of Fire…'

Letting out a small smile at the thought of going back to the Land of Fire soon, 'Afterall, it was my home in many of my transmigrations…' Ashura walks out of his room down towards the common room of his inn to get breakfast, and then to start heading towards the Land of Water.

As he takes his first step across the ocean towards the Land of Water, he can't but frown slightly. After all, unlike the relatively peaceful places he had visited before, a Civil War is going on. However, that isn't truly what worries him. 'A Perfect Jinchuriki of Isobu, and yet he is trying to persecute Bloodlines?'

Stalling at that thought, he can't help but feel a shiver up his spine, he knew Isobu and yet a Perfect Jinchuriki of his was doing such heinous actions… Only one thought came to his mind, 'Genjutsu'. Did this Yagura cast it on Isobu? Or perhaps someone cast one on Yagura and Isobu? A frown mars his face as he continues to stroll across the ocean. The only way Isobu could be put into a Genjutsu was the evolved form of the Sharingan or the Rinnegan. But even then… Isobu was the greatest Genjutsu practitioner among all of his younger brothers. Letting out a groan of confusion he runs his hand down his face. 'I guess I'm going to infiltrate instead of just wandering in peacefully.'

Groaning at the thought of being stealthy he continues to walk across the ocean, and onwards towards a new mystery.

A slightly tipsy man, with short brown hair, grey eyes, and a rather pale skin tone is laughing uproariously in a bar. While he's some-what thin and doesn't have much muscle he very clearly is wearing wealthy clothes. Clapping the man next to him on the back he laughs for a few more moments before saying, "I'm telling you Kishin! I owe you one man, if it wasn't for your help we would have gotten lost, and who knows what could have happened then. If you ever need any help or some alcohol, you know where to find me!"

The man named Kishin grins before dipping his sake saucer slightly towards his friend and then chugs it down. "I know, I know! You've only said it a dozen times now Kenpachi. Really." Shaking his head, his lips twitched slightly. "Alright, I've had enough, I'm gonna go see if I can go find someone to have some…. Fun with."

With that Kishin claps Kenpachi on the back, and swaggers out of the bar. Taking a step out of the bar, Kishin takes in a deep breath of air before with a skip in his step he walks off to find someone to have a good night with. After a few minutes of drunkenly wondering he grumbles before scratching his crotch and muttering, "Gotta piss…" as he says that he takes a few steps into an unoccupied alley, anyone watching turning away - to not notice he completely disappeared.

Appearing behind a random building Ashura Otsutsuki, who was temporarily known as Kishin steps out of it, his chakra completely concealed inside his body, nature chakra thrumming through his system to conceal himself, and his body invisible. Jumping up slightly to on top of the building he's near he frowns. Mentally batting away the tiny bit of guilt at tricking the merchant before focusing on what's important. 'Something is very… very wrong with this place.'

Forcing his chakra to form an even ratio with the nature chakra in his system, he reaches out with the enhanced senses afforded to him with senjutsu. He almost groans because he can feel a chakra that is partially Madara's, mixed with another Uchihas, and a weird aberration of Senju chakra mixed all into one. He could feel the chakra weaving a web of genjutsu across numerous people, so subtle in ways only a Sharingan can be, and yet so obvious when one knows what to truly look for.

Letting himself drop the Senjutsu, he sprawls on top of the roof wanting to groan. 'Of course, someone went and messed with not only Madara of all people but also a Senju's DNA. No wonder they could put Isobu in a Genjutsu.' Frowning at that thought, he can't help but wonder if this person managed to awaken a false Rinnegan but shakes his head, highly unlikely - and even then it would be a mere fraction of a true Rinnegan. Staring at the sky for a few moments he can't help but think that perhaps he should have gone to the Land of Lightning first.

Letting out a sigh he shrugs before letting out a wry grin, Oh well, cheer up Ashura, at least your life won't be so boring anymore…" With those happy words said, he jumps off the roof into the road, and begins to sneak his way towards the Kage tower, where he had sensed Isobu's Chakra. 'Let's go have some fun…'

I'm actually pretty happy with the flashback/dream at the start, however, and even decently happy with the middle part. But I rewrote the Kiri part a few times before saying fuck it.
