"I should go back to the cabin now. It's almost evening." I spoke peeking at my watch as we sat down for a hot cup of cocoa.

Lionel had excused himself to take a phone call in his study. And judging by Elena's pinkish eyes, I could see it was Elena's nap time.

"Why don't you stay the night, dear? It felt good having you here for a change in a household full of men," she spoke light-heartedly.

"It feels good just being here. But, I should go. I have to make a phone call to my brother," I spoke realizing that the closer I am to materializing my dream, the worse I feel in my gut.

I need to stop before it is too late.

"Go? Go where?" Lionel suddenly appeared in front of us with his interrogatory remark.

"Home. I think it is time for me to go back to India," I spoke, making an effort to hide the pang of heartache I felt at the thought of not seeing him ever again, at the thought of not being able to see this family.
