Chapter 10

Two days later, I buzzed Mr. George Russell and on his suggestion, we both decided to meet at the Plaza in Manhattan.

"So, you would actually do this?" I asked with a flutter in my stomach as we occupied the table.

"Yes, of course, dear. It can be done." He assured me stuffing the napkin under the collar of his shirt, his bulging chin which initially rested upon his collar now peacefully sat on the napkin.

"Oh! Mr. Russell, I can't thank you enough. You are practically a lifesaver. So, when and where can I meet him?" I enquired, barely able to hide my revived emotions.

"Ohk. Hold still," he interrupted. "Look. Alessandro is a very busy man, which I am sure you know already, not to mention utterly private. To arrange even a ten-min meeting with him means pushing a lot of barriers, breaking a lot of rules for me," he added, lighting up his cigar.
