"ZhiYi, is everything alright?"

MingYu had watched the man pack up their belongings, distant and deep in thought this entire time. He hadn't spoken much after the Yamen had burned down. Time to time ZhiYi would suddenly leave the inn room for a while before returning, still distraught over… something. It was becoming unbearable, and MingYu had to get some answer to ease his mind.

Was ZhiYi perhaps mad at his sudden disappearance from the inn last night? Putting himself and YueQin in danger? He already apologized. MingYu was just thankful Yang Chen had survived the terrible ordeal.

ZhiYi didn't answer as he moved to check if he had forgotten anything within the room. They didn't have many belongings, to begin with, some spare clothes, that was all.
