1 Prologue

The Void, Year 1 of the Imperial Calendar, Month of the King.

The vast expanse of space was nothing compared to the starships. Giant hulking monstrosities with millions of cannons and god knows how many soldiers. Manned by a single True God Stage and a supplementary force of ten thousand Demigod stage cultivators these starships were the most significant weapon of the Divine Sun.

One man stood before these ships. Tiny in comparison with a tassel of black hair and bushy eyebrows. His eyes looked like thousands of stars exploding in a universe. He had a medium build not muscular but not fat. He held a sword which was utterly black barring a single point on the top that glared with the light of the sun.

The command station of the ship was silent. The whirring of Star Processors was the only sound in the air. The Son of Divine Sun sat on his seat made of blinding white jade.

"My son, there is no way left to deal with him, our artillery is not effective against his power," said one of the commanders on the ship. The Son glared at the screen in front of him showing the man from before.

"The greatest genius of our empire, turning on my father, killing him in blind daylight. It is a shame. My father was a terrible man, a tyrant, and a dictator, but to take the sword is to reject the Divine Sun. Send him a carrier bot asking him to surrender the sword, and we will not destroy him." The commander shuttered and turned to one of the officers behind him yelling at him to send the message.

From the ship came a small robot. It went like a bullet appearing before the man. From it came the voice of Divine Son.

"Surrender the sword, and we can let you go. That sword is the greatest bane of our empire. You are the greatest genius this world has ever seen we can still let you live." The man with the sword laughed.

"You cannot control me with your words Divine Son, my only daughter the love of my life was raped before my eyes by you, and you think I would forgive. I bided my time to get this sword, and you think I would give it all away? When I go to the Underworld, I hope I can meet you there so I can kill you again."

Divine Son got up from his seat.

"Prepare the 100th level magic; he is a blot on this empire and a blot on my soul. Destroy him and let not even his soul go."

Soon from within the ship energy from every being was being gathered on board. The great spell siphoned away even the power of the ordinary soldiers on the ship. The commanders dropped to the floor, and only Divine Son was left unharmed. Divine Son started to chant.

"I call upon the power of the mind, the soul, and the body. I call upon the power of nature and the power of the artificial. I call upon the power of the Divine Sun, destroy everything!"

From the top of the ship came a piercing light, it started at first as just a speck, but then it grew and grew until it became an actual sun. The cruiser slowly began to burn from its power; small explosions came from inside the ship.

The man with the sword grimaced and raised his sword the air. He was engulfed in darkness a great armor so thick that not an inch of the light from the star could get through.

The Divine Son roared and launched his little sun at the man with the sword. Space threatened to tear and reveal its secrets, thee attack bent and peeled apart the rules of the world.

The man with the swords armor of darkness melted slowly revealing his skin again, and with a scream, the man brought down his sword. From the tip of the sword darkness concentrated into one point and threw itself at the encroaching sun in the shape of a sword. The attacks collided, intermingled, stretched and tore and pierced through each other. The sun's light engulfed the sword, each part of its darkness being torn away until nothing was left. The sun charged at the man and finally collided into him. First, his skin was burnt off, then his muscles and eventually his skeleton was revealed and burnt to a crisp. The man was dead but before he died a little bit of his soul flew into the sword. The sword left his bony hand and flew into space. Left to chance where it would go.
