It's in your head

Everyone was gathered in the animal clinic. Void was still tied up but Deaton had removed the tape so he was able to talk.

'I'm gonna let you talk but you're gonna help us or we'll put the tape right on again. No tricks. Just help me safe my sister.'

Void smirked and made an o shape with his mouth. 'Or what? You're gonna kill me?' He snickered. 'Scott, I have absolutely no reason to help you if I don't get something in return.'

Deaton turned around from studying Keylee and walked towards Void. He squat down in front of him and stared calmly in his dark eyes. 'But you do get something in return.'

'And what would that be? It's not like I need something.'

'You need her. If you didn't need her you wouldn't have kept her close every time. You think I didn't notice? You would have killed her right away or at least torture her.'

'I didn't expect you to notice.'

'Well, I did. And I was thinking, if your plan is so great, if you are so invincible, you should have no problem telling us what you what want with her. You know you won't get her otherwise.'

Scott quickly jumped up. 'Otherwise? No chance at all he gets my sister!'

'Scott, calm down. He has us stuck, I can't help her and it might be the only way to safe her. Let's just hear him out.'

'NO! She's my sister, I just got her back. I promised it would be alright, that she was safe now!'

'I agree with him Alan, that monster kidnapped my daughter, why would we listen to anything he has to say when it's probably a trick anyways?'

'Because he has left us no other choice.'

Void smirked. 'He's right you know. But lets be honest here, this wasn't my doing. And you know that, don't you?'

Scott's eyes turned red and for one second everyone was afraid he'd loose control and jump right at Void, well, everyone except Void was worried for it of course. Luckily Scott turned around to Keylee. She laid down at the table where Deaton had tried to figure out how to wake her up.

Scott stared at his sister for a long time. 'You said this wasn't your doing, but do you know how to fix it?' He still didn't turn around. Unable to look at Voids upcoming smirk.

'In matter of fact, I'm afraid I don't. I'm sure I can find out though. Just give me two minutes and I'll wake her up for you.'

'Why? Why would you do that? Why would I trust you? And what do you want in return?'

'So many questions, you shouldn't trust me Scott, you should never trust a fox.'- He looked at Kira, which made Scott growl, before he continued. 'And I have yet to decide what I want in return.'

Scott looked around. Melissa nodded, 'just wake her up.' Lydia looked from Void to Keylee to Scott.

'I think we need to let him try Scott. She's on the edge of death, I'd rather have a chance to safe her than to cry at her funeral.'

'Fine, let's make it a deal. If you safe my sister we will give you whatever you want in return.'

Void widened his eyes slightly. 'Fine, even if I'd told you to... I dunno, kill someone? Are you willing to kill someone for your sisters life?'

Scott looked to Deaton who nodded. 'Yes.'

'And if I'd ask you to leave me alone for the rest of your life? would you do that?'

Scot grumbled. 'Yes.'

'In that case, I'll try my best.' Void smirked and stood up. Not even bothered a bit by the fact that they tied him up. 'Sorry from your handcuffs sheriff.' Void said mockingly.

Void chuckled. Stiles gave him bravely and angry glare but soon took a step closer to Malia when Void turned to him. Everyone seemed a bit unsure about it. Could Void escape all the time? then why didn't he? He could have forced everything right? Why didn't he do that? What game was he playing?

Void stared at Keylee for a while. Tilting his head a little, he moved her hair from her neck and traced his fingers at the place where Scott digged his nails in his own neck. He huffed. This was stupid, that they couldn't figure that out. He smirked.

'It's very easy, she needs to be kissed awake by her true love.'

Liam widened his eyes. 'Really? Is that a thing too?'

Stiles sighted. 'No, he's messing with us... Right?'

Void's smile dropped and he rolled his eyes. Of course I am, well, was. You had to spoil it once again huh? You're no fun. She can easily be woken up simply by doing this, it's a miracle you didn't know Alan. I have to admit I'm slightly disappointed.

Void took the closest knife from a table. Everyone looked suddenly on high alert. Claws and fangs out, for those who could at least.

'Jeez, chill. Didn't know you were so concerned about me.'

'If you hurt her....'

'If I hurt her...' Void mocked. Scott growled. 'I'm being serious.'

'Am I ever not, do not worry Scotty, I'm only hurting her mentally.'

Before anyone could react he cut himself in his own hand. After that he simply slid the knife in his pocket and looked at Keylee expectantly.

Keylee lied still for about five seconds before jolting up. 'Whaa, whatthefreakingbananasdidyoudonow!?'

She looked around, confused. 'W-where am I? What's going on? Why are you here?'

Before Void could answer Scott hugged his sister tight. 'Oh my gosh I was so worried you wouldn't wake up. What happened?'

'I dunno, I just blacked out I guess. Why are you bleeding Void?'

'Doesn't matter, you don't have to be concerned about him. How are you feeling? What happened.' Scott interrupted.

'Oh. Not now. I need to do something first.'

Keylee hopped off the table like nothing happened and was ready to leave when Derek grabbed her arm. 'You sense different.'

'Creepy, but I gotta go so let go of me.'

'No, what happened? What's going on Keylee?'

'I- I... Nothing, I'm... tired? Where's Void by the way?'

Everyone turned around. No Void. They turned back to Keylee. No Keylee.

'Damn it. Why does this always happen? And how did she get away?'

Stiles angrily shouted. Malia looked at them all like they were the dumbest thing she had ever seen. 'You guys didn't notice?' No reaction. She gasped. You idiot's, I lived long enough as coyote to recognize that in case I needed to attack someone. It's never good to attack people who care for each other, they tend to get kinda.... defensive, you know. Gives a lot of trouble.'

'Malia, darling. I understand this makes sense to you but please enlighten us.' Lydia spoke as calm as possible.

Malia looked again like they were crazy. 'They are connected, he got a book about blood rituals, she got hurt after Scott hurt him and woke up after he hurt himself. They are bounded to each other. Duh.'

'They- what? M-my sister- you're saying that- h-he.'

'Are you telling me that my daughter is bounded to that monster? Please Malia, tell me you're joking.'

'No, why would I be?'

Everyone stared at her in shock, except for Deaton. He still didn't trust it.

'I think we should all go home. Scott, I believe you will find Keylee there if I know her a bit. Void will probably not show up for a while. It's how he plays. Go home, think about everything. Ask Keylee and whatever you do, don't act impulsive.'

He could only hope Scott listened. Void liked the game, he liked to play smart. If Scott would act impulsive there would be no fun in it for Void and Deaton didn't know what he would do then.

---- 2 hours later ---

Scott knocked on the door of the animal clinic. He looked like a lost puppy when Deaton opened the door. Deaton sighted. 'Don't say it.'

'I'm sorry. I acted impulsive.'

Flashback

'KEYLEE!' Scott stormed in her room. Keylee was reading on her bed. She smiled. 'Oh, hi Scott.'

'Wha- What's wrong with you? You've just been kidnapped, fell unconscious, Void was gone and you disappeared and now you are smiling at me like nothing happened?'

Keylee chuckled. 'Scott, sweetheart. I think you might wanna sit down for this.'

'Keylee! What's going on?'

'That's the second time you said the wrong thing in just a minute. I'm impressed McCall.'

Scott paled. Something was of. He jumped forward and pinned Keylee down on the bed.

'Did Void do this?'

Keylee shook her head and smiled at him. 'No, you did silly.'

'I don't get it.'

'Fine. You are absolutely no fun. I'm something in YOUR head, though I'm true, sort of. I lived a very long time before you. Foxy boy is kinda tricking you guys. That whole blood bond theory is very smart but not how it worked. You were correct, he bound himself to me, but he did that a very long time ago and it's a soul bond connected by the Nemeton. The blood ritual? Didn't happen. Ah- don't interrupt me when I'm speaking boy. You want answers or not?'

Scott had opened his mouth but now closed it again. He could better hear what she had to say.

'Tell me Scott, did you know this: Keylee is a spirit. She has always been. The bite of Deucalion just activated her power like Peter did with Lydia.'

'I-'

'Hear me out. This all is not real Scott, Void-

'Are you telling me that my sister is possessed or something?'

'No Scott. When people are born they are a soul taking place in a body, sometimes they lived before, sometimes they are new. Most of them don't remember their past lives anyway. My soul was one of the first born souls with magic so it's called a spirit. Your power is physical in your body, mine comes from my soul. You understand?'

'So... you are not Keylee?'

Scott stared at the person beneath him. She blinked a few times and rolled her eyes. Muttering something around dumb-ass.

'Are you like him, like the nogitsune?'

'In a certain way, yes. I mean, we are both spirits so.... I'm just older.'

'No.'

'What no?'

'No, no. I don't accept this. It's just a trick. You are not my sister, I don't want you as my sister. I want Keylee back.'

'You do realize that if you reject me you're kinda rejecting Keylee? We are the same, just with different personalities. Anyways, you are finally getting smarter, this is, in fact. All. A. Trick.'

'Keylee was never like this. She's my sister. I'm gonna get her back. We're gonna kill you and Void and then everything can go back to normal.'

'If you kill me you kill a part of her Scott.'

'I don't care, I just want everything to go back to normal.' He growled.

Keylee, or whatever she was now, looked at him with anger. 'That is so selfish, if she remembers who she is she can help people. Void can help her. I am her. Do you really wanna take that away from her? This is normal Scott, you need to get used to it.'

'No. We need to get rid of you and Void. If we can make Keylee forget-'

Scott suddenly flung to the wall. Void bowed over him. 'Idiot.' He muttered. The he turned to Keylee who stared at Scott with a blank face.

'You were were right. I can't believe you were right. Why would you try to change me Scott?! Why can't this just be me?!'

'Because this is not who you are. He's tricking you Keylee. We can help you. We-'

'Can erase my memory. Oh my god, have you ever erased my memory? You can do that?'

Keylee gripped her head. 'No no no no no.'

'I told you they wouldn't accept you, that he would try to change you. It's okay Kitten. We'll go somewhere far far away.'

Scott weakly stood up. Once again he had fallen for the tricks of the trickster. And now he was gonna take Keylee again. Was any of this even real? It didn't make sense. He had to talk to Deaton.

'We will find you. We will kill you and I will get my sister back!'

'Void chuckled. 'Sure. Good luck with that, this isn't real Scott. I mean, Keylee and I are, but everything else. It's in your head. Go to Deaton, it's in your head. Though I'm technically giving everyone of you the same illusion you could call it a twisted reality...'

'So... You practically told them you were gonna kill them? And you would erase Keylee's memories?'

Scott looked down. He had told Deaton everything and he didn't look pleased. 'I'm sorry, he just, he had me okay. I didn't- I never- I don't know why I said it. I don't know what's a trick anymore. I think I'm losing my mind Dr. Deaton. Why don't you seem surprised?

'I already expected this to be a trick, what do you mean with "losing my mind"?'

'I dunno. It's just, I feel like I'm losing every bit of sanity. It's killing me Dr. Deaton. It's killing me from the inside out...'

Void smirked. He knew his plan was working. He looked down at Scott who was fast asleep in the hospital bed. He was breaking his minds, creating chaos and pain and oh how much he loved it. Scott felt so guilty for thinking that he really said that to Keylee...

Void chuckled and turned around. 'Well, I guess it's time to go back. Don't worry Scotty, it's almost time to wake up. I made a deal for a week and a week it will be, we just gotta wait till midnight....'
