MEETING THE CEO (1)

There is really loud thumping music, the popular stuff of the time was mixed with some old classics. Mostly everyone in the room were drunk, with a few people sitting around outside either dancing somewhere or just talking.

While Richard and Susan were dancing, all of a sudden she sees a mark that looked exactly of a snake bite, being astonished she stood worried and started a sequence of questions "How did you get that snake bit ? how long have you been holding this up? Have you told anyone about this?"

"Wooooow wait just breath. I'm fine, nothing happened. It isn't a snake bit for sure , because if it was then I would have been dead." said Richard.

Still Susan was worried for him so he assured her to get it checked by a doctor the next day. So she thought of informing Mr. Williams about it and as Mrs. carol came to know about it she got panicked and left everything behind and ran towards Richard. seeing her in this condition everyone in the hall stood up and gathered around them to check if everything was okay?...

After a day full of thrill and drama the guests went back home and The Williams family stayed in the mansion with Susan. It was midnight and Richard was busy with his work while Mrs. Williams entered his room.

"Mom what happened? Is everything fine?" Richard in a perturbed voice.

"Everything is good son I just came here to talk to you about something." Mrs. carol in a soothing voice that made Richard be at peace.

"We all know how much you care for you work son but it's time for you to think about things other than your work ,you know what I mean?" Mrs. carol in a convincing manner.

Hearing to this Richard sat still without any expression on his face. "I know you are all worried for me and I will think about it and do what's suitable for the same. I won't end up alone it's just that I haven't met the perfect one yet and when I'll get this feeling for someone ,you would be the first one to know about it. I promise." Richard said to his mother.

After listening to Richard Mrs. Williams had a thought of insecurity about her promise to Susan but gave a pale smile and walked out of his room.

The night was peaceful for everyone. Then the clock stuck nine and it was Richard who had to go early for the office came down for the breakfast and took a piece of toast and rushed out saying bye to everyone.

The office was filled with all employees who were known to Richard. As he entered the main door the seriality of the greetings stared to the point when he entered the lift, as the doors were about to close a girl can shouting from a distance to wait for her.

"Hey! Please wait for me!! I am coming!!"

Richard shifted his gaze towards the person to whom that voice belonged to. The moment his eyes landed on her it felt like an irregular movement of cold breeze. Her hair were scattered and messed her. With one hand she was holding on to her briefcase while with the other had she was constantly fixing up her hair. She was waving her hand at Richard in a way as if gesturing him to stop the lift and wat for her. Being an intern it was her first day so how could she afford to be late?

"Ohh My God! I am finally here!" Emma heaved a sigh of relief and spoke to herself with a smile of satisfacton on her that she finally made into the lift on time. She turned to look at the man who was standing behind her in the lift and with a broad smile on her face she bowed slightly and thanked him before turning around and started tapping on her foot. Richard was being ignored after receiving a thank you, however his gaze was still fixed on the figure in front of his eyes and was even unable to hear that soft thank you from her. Emma who could feel that awkward stare from behind her, she turned back to take a look ad realised that the man whom she had already thanked, his eyes were constantly fixed on her. Unable to bear that gaze she could not help but ask out in uneasiness.

"What?" Her tone was a little bit impolite and she was hoping that he might react however the man continued to look at her with that uneasy gaze which made her expressions to turn ugly. She shot him a glare and turned around to avoid his eyes.

'Such a creep!' She could not help but mutter to herself.

As soon as the lift reached on the fourth floor, the elevator made a 'ding' sound before the door opened. Emma gave that man a last look before she stormed out of the elevator. This man was too weird! The moment she stepped out, Joseph who was her mentor, he was standing in front with her both the hands on his waist and his specs on the nose bridge as he looked at Emma and questioned her.

"Emma, how could you be late on your first day? How come you are late today?" a bold male voice was heard and as Emma looked straight up and saw Joseph standing near the lift and waiting for her.
