She went to breakfast and she actually had some ideas for a couple of spells she could try. One of the books Bruce gave her talked about spells and Violet wondered if she could try to cast them without any magic words. She should be able to do it in principle, but she didn't want to try anything dangerous, just something easy and fun so she could get a feel for what her power actually felt like. Then it would be easier to control, once you knew what you were trying to control in the first place. But first, a big breakfast to recharge her batteries. Then came a new awakening for her. Could she eat some snacks in between to keep her energy levels up? Guess she'll have to try and ask Archie if he has any snacks, chips, candy, etc. Violet had never been allowed to eat them; according to her parents, they were useless fluff and didn't give her any nutrients. Now Violet realized that they would have given her the calories her power needed and it had just been another way of controlling her power, but now let's move on and after breakfast, we'll see. Raisins would be nice too, Violet liked to eat them.

Archie had already set the table and Violet said " Morning, today I'm going to see if I can cast any spells, I was wondering if you had any snacks here, I mean anything I could eat all the time and keep my powers up?" Archie grunted and said, " Well no, but I can get them in the shop, I can put whatever you want on your next order." Violet replied, " That's the thing, I've never really eaten sweets or crisps, sometimes as a kid at a friend's birthday party but I didn't have that much of them and all we had at home was celery or carrot sticks if I was hungry." Archie looked up and shook his head. For a werewolf the idea of a carrot stick when you were hungry was such a strange idea that he didn't really understand the whole idea, but he didn't always have to understand everything. He said " Yeah, don't worry, I'll order a selection of crisps and chips and stuff like that so you can taste and try what you like. I eat everything I can get my hands on now but it may be that you might be more specific."

Violet was thoughtful and said " Raisins are quite tasty, peanuts too. " She remembered how her mother had eaten both and her mother's favorite was liquorice. Violet concentrated on eating another mouthful of the food Archie had placed in front of her. It had bacon, sausages, eggs, scones, potato wedges, toast, butter, and some meat on bread. And there was a lot of food. Archie himself had a couple of thick steaks for breakfast and they went down quickly. Violet watched as Archie stuffed himself with another large portion of exactly the same food and continued eating. Archie said, " Just remember to eat, when your strength is released at that rate the calories will be burnt off, and you, my tiny one, don't look like you can afford to lose much weight, rather you should gain some mass but I suspect that's impossible. Just keep eating, don't hesitate at all. Whenever you are hungry, you eat. The pack doctor will come tomorrow and give you a proper check and we'll see where we are. He'll also want to examine your coyote, so teach the lady what's in store for tomorrow. "

Violet smiled. She was already quite full and she drank some more coffee and ate several pieces of a rather tasty cake. Then she was ready. She said "I'm going back downstairs to try a few spells, see if I can do anything. If I knew my power better, I could easily control it. I mean, if I knew what I actually had to keep in check." Archie smiled and said " Go ahead. I'll be in my workroom, talk to the pack bond if you want food then when if I don't get around to making it first already? " Violet got up and left.

She went into the cellar and she had a cube with her, well this was a little cardboard box like this and Violet decided to try the transformation magic first. So she would have to convert that cardboard box into another thing. She'd been thinking all through the meal about why she wanted to convert it and she'd been planning in her head a bouquet of flowers in a vase with water ready. The bouquet would be full of violet roses, they would be big, perfect, and fragrant. There would be 33 roses in the bouquet. She had read in a book that it helps if you visualize the object as accurately as possible. As accurately as you can, keep the idea in your mind, and then you would have to push the idea outwards with the magic into the object. It didn't sound too difficult and Violet concentrated.

he wondered what the power felt like and she decided to remind herself by making a ball of energy. Now it turned pink and Violet didn't even know what kind of energy the ball was. Now she felt her power again. She held the vase, the flowers, and all the details in her mind as clearly as she could and then began to push her power outward and push that idea outward. She felt the power developing all the time and she looked at the cube and closed her eyes and said "Transform." The power came out of her in a big wave and for a while, she was even breathless. When she opened her eyes, the cube was still a cube. It hadn't worked. Violet wondered what on earth had gone wrong. Archie said in her head. " Did you try the spell or what? Flowers?" Violet was amazed, how did he know that? Had it somehow gone through the pack bond from her thoughts to Archie's mind or what? Violet replied " Yeah, but it didn't work."

Archie was silent for a moment and then replied " Come up here for a moment." Archie had a strange voice, so Violet decided to go upstairs then. She climbed the stairs and opened the door. She walked into the living room and looked. Every table was filled with vase after vase and the roses smelled just the way they should. Archie came out of his study with at least ten vases in his arms. He looked at Violet for a moment and always put the vases somewhere where there was at least a little empty space. Violet was a little embarrassed but hadn't been practicing her spells for long. She said " Oh it worked but not quite the way I planned it. " Archie just grunted and carried another ten vases into the living room from his study. Well, they have quite a few flowers and vases like that now. Violet said, "I'm going to get on with it, I see that spell needs a bit of tweaking." Archie nodded and went into his study. Violet was thinking that she needs to learn to control the feeling so that it doesn't spread everywhere, she needs to focus on it.

She went outside to collect stones, she decided to try a different approach to the transformation. She would try making a ball out of the magic and throw it at the target. She collected a big pile of rocks and took a couple of bigger boulders with her. There had to be material to test with. She went down to the basement and put the rocks on the ground. He started with the smallest ones and thought about the magic of transformation. She wanted to transform these rocks.

She found her magic again and concentrated and a dark violet ball came into her hand. It was quite small and she didn't think much of it. She had been thinking about the party at the same time she had been collecting stones and thinking about jewelry. She had real diamond earrings in her ears at this very moment. She had wondered if they would go with the dress. They were quite small diamonds, but real ones. Violet threw the ball into the pebbles and there was a puff of smoke, a muffled pop and when the smoke cleared, Violet went to see. Oh, she had made some beautiful crystals out of these. They were glittery and really beautiful. She gathered the stones on the table and put some bigger ones in. She thought of rubies for fun. Her mother had had a lovely ruby ring that she had rarely worn and Violet had always admired it.

Violet now looked at the bigger stones and thought of making them as beautiful as her mother's rubies. Again a ball formed in the palm of her hand and she threw it into the stones. A faint pop, a cloud of smoke, and the result was beautiful large rubies. Violet assumed they weren't real. She was already hungry but wanted to try the biggest ones, the stones. They weighed a couple of kilos, and Violet wanted them to be as beautiful as a diamond. The ball that formed in the palm of her hand was bigger than the previous ones, and, of course, they were bigger stones. She threw the ball and there was a bang, more smoke, and then the stones were revealed they were like huge diamonds Violet was pleased, balls were apparently the way she got things done.
