Shuule bundled herself up one of her furred shawls, and had curled herself up next to the remaining egg. All the instinct that had hit her in a soft wave the night she had laid it was now on overdrive. She wasn't going to let this singular child out of her sight. She had failed the second one, and hoped against hope that she wouldn't have a third to possibly ruin. But this one? This one here, and whole, and she was going to keep it that way.
