"He could have eaten you!" Shuule hissed for real this time, bearing her small fangs with her red ears snapped back to her similarly fire red hair.

Harvey knew she was angry with him, except the only emotion that swelled in him was joy; she cared for him deeply still. He could see the panic on her face. The fox girl had been so worried about all the tasks at hand that were needed for survival since they landed in the frozen valley, that he couldn't tell if she still felt any affection towards him. Being able to sit together in private while they worked gave her time to decompress, and she had started to let her guard back down.

"He didn't," he answered with his chest puffed out. "So Eventually, I went to go check on him, because as a doctor I couldn't just let him suffer. I figured I would just put him out of his misery."
