The Villainess?
How did I get here? The last thing I remember was falling asleep after finishing the book: Trials Of Love. How did I become the villainess Camilla who has the same name as me? **************** Our female lead, Camilla used to be a very extrovert person who had many friends and was socially liked by everyone. However, after her parent's death, she was assigned to live with her Uncle and Aunt. Over time she slowly distances herself from her friends as she believes that she doesn't deserve happiness. She thought that she was the reason her parents died. Back then her parents died in a car accident when they were speeding toward the hospital where she was kept. On that very eventful morning, she had accidentally burnt her hand during food tech and was rushed straight towards the hospital. When her parents heard they too rushed over there hence they got into a car accident and eventually passed away. The only thing that would bring her happiness was that one book her parents left for her: Trials of love. It talked about a young boy named Damian who grew up in poverty but eventually became the grand duke of the Thedo empire. The Thedo empire was named after the first King founder of the empire. Damian grew to love his housekeeper's youngest daughter Eveline. The two had to go through many trials until they earned their happy ending... Of course with the occasional villainess ruining the happy pair. But who would've thought that our female lead ended up as the villainess? The character she hated the most. Camilla Rose Avery was the lost daughter of the present King and Queen. Camilla had been stolen when she was a year old by a maid. She was found by her older brother when he ran into her in an orphanage on one of his royal tours. Her love for Damian meant that she would try to kill Eveline. Because of her evil deed, she ended up being banished to the eastern empire when Damian became the grand duke. He married Eveline and then the story closed. Ella transmigrates into Camilla. However, there was still time to fix everything. She would be kind to Damian in the hope that he would remember her kindness in the future. Our female lead has decided to change her destiny so she tried very hard not to fall in love with Damian. However, the storyline seems to be changing. Chapter 47: Come and see me after dinner:
The maids led me upstairs to the 3rd floor where all the guest rooms were. She showed me which one my room was and I had a quick peek inside.
My room was decorated in a midnight blue colour with a double-size mattress with a bell that connected to the servant Chambers. Attached to my room was a bathroom that had a bathtub and a toilet in it. There were many wardrobes but they were mostly empty. The was a dressing table that also had no stuff in it.
After u had a quick peek, I followed the maid to find Damian. I wanted to check in on how he was feeling. Knock Knock. I gently knocked on the door that the maid gestured was his room. "Come in," a voice bellowed as I opened the door. I gestured for the maid to wait outside, hence she didn't follow me inside.
Damian looked up and noticed it was me. "What are you doing here? I thought you went away with your new friend," he asked. He sounded as if he was a bit upset and jealous when he said the last line. I laughed gently and muttered, "I'm here to check in on you. Have you had a look around yet?". He nodded his head and gently looked outside his window. Because of how sudden everything was, so Damian was staying in a guest room for the time being.
I noticed that the view outside his window was the rose garden. The rumoured garden that the grand duke maid for his wife. Ever since her death. No one has been inside it, however, it was still well maintained. We could only see the garden on this floor. I wished to look at the garden in this estate as I've only read about it and not actually seen anything.
"Shall we go outside?" I asked Damian looked at me weirdly and muttered sure. We walked together in utmost silence until we were in the hall. The butler noticed us and immediately reminded us not to enter the Rose garden when he realised we wanted to look at the gardens on this estate. "Angel, take them to the Violet garden," the butler ordered the maid as she nodded and proceeded to take us there.
Because we were still in the estate no guards followed us. We were there alone apart from Angel following me and another manservant following Damian.
We passed through the Rose Garden and I noticed through the little gaps in the fence that the Rose Garden was well-cleaned even when there was nobody allowed inside. In the book, it stated that the grade duke asked a magician to cast a spell so that the flowers in this garden would never die because this garden was created by the grand duchess herself. The grand duke would often come in here however nobody could tell when he did. It was because he was wearing an invisible cloak whether he was in this garden.
Speak of the devil. Wasn't that Uncle Robert? "Hey Uncle Robert," I called out however everyone else looked at me as if I was insane. Why was everyone looking at me like that? "Camilla, are you OK?" Damian asked gently. I nodded and asked him why he would ask such a question. What the heck is going on? "I was asking because the grand duke is not there. You're probably just hallucinating," he explained. What is happening? Uncle Robert proceeded to walk over to me and I could even hear him asking if I could see or hear him. I nodded and Damian probably thought I was agreeing with his point. I walked pasted the grand duke and I could vividly hear him say: Come and see me after dinner.
Roberts Pov:
What in the world just happened?
Throughout these 10 years. Nobody has seen me with this invisible cloak. Was it because the cloak's power was wearing off? That can't be. Everyone else apart from Camilla couldn't see me. Could it be because of her powers? Before we arrived in the capital some streaks of her power were already showing yet nothing happened in the orphanage she grew up in.
Could it be because she was closer to the altar diversion so her powers are more prominent as she can catch the power coming from within it?
I need to send a letter to his majesty telling him about everything. It'd better we confirm with the royal magician what's happening.
