The Villainess?
How did I get here? The last thing I remember was falling asleep after finishing the book: Trials Of Love. How did I become the villainess Camilla who has the same name as me? **************** Our female lead, Camilla used to be a very extrovert person who had many friends and was socially liked by everyone. However, after her parent's death, she was assigned to live with her Uncle and Aunt. Over time she slowly distances herself from her friends as she believes that she doesn't deserve happiness. She thought that she was the reason her parents died. Back then her parents died in a car accident when they were speeding toward the hospital where she was kept. On that very eventful morning, she had accidentally burnt her hand during food tech and was rushed straight towards the hospital. When her parents heard they too rushed over there hence they got into a car accident and eventually passed away. The only thing that would bring her happiness was that one book her parents left for her: Trials of love. It talked about a young boy named Damian who grew up in poverty but eventually became the grand duke of the Thedo empire. The Thedo empire was named after the first King founder of the empire. Damian grew to love his housekeeper's youngest daughter Eveline. The two had to go through many trials until they earned their happy ending... Of course with the occasional villainess ruining the happy pair. But who would've thought that our female lead ended up as the villainess? The character she hated the most. Camilla Rose Avery was the lost daughter of the present King and Queen. Camilla had been stolen when she was a year old by a maid. She was found by her older brother when he ran into her in an orphanage on one of his royal tours. Her love for Damian meant that she would try to kill Eveline. Because of her evil deed, she ended up being banished to the eastern empire when Damian became the grand duke. He married Eveline and then the story closed. Ella transmigrates into Camilla. However, there was still time to fix everything. She would be kind to Damian in the hope that he would remember her kindness in the future. Our female lead has decided to change her destiny so she tried very hard not to fall in love with Damian. However, the storyline seems to be changing. Why is the male lead running after the villainess this time? ********************************************************** Please vote for this book as I've entered a completion with it. Chapter 11: Grand Duke Robert Ellis
Two weeks after Damian was injured Grand Duke Rober Ellis paid a visit to the orphanage. The Grand Duke is described as a man who has dark blue hair with black eyes. He is a man who holds great power over the 12 noble families not including the royal family. He has a daughter who doesn't like him and grows up to hate him for not being involved with her. Lexi Olliver Ellis is a girl who only wanted to be loved so when she saw her father loved her new adopted brother. She got jealous and made his life a living hell. To be honest, when I read about her I felt she was quite like me. She wanted to be loved but didn't receive any.
But why the hell is he here? It's too quick for the Grand Duke to even visit the orphanage. He was meant to visit the orphanage 6 months after Damian's been at the orphanage. But it's only been 4 months. And wasn't it only the butler who came here? But today the butler was accompanying the Grand Duke. Why's that? And in the story, Anna had gotten a cold the night before so she never saw the Grand Duke. The grand duke also didn't personally come to the orphanage. Today however he had requested to see me and Damian. I wonder why? He obviously had to see Damian for he was destined to be adopted by Robert Ellis. But why me? Was it because he already knew I was Camilla? But isn't my brother meant to find me? Whatever let's just get this meeting over with.
I followed the matron inside towards the meeting room alongside Damian. I was dressed up in a pretty dress. I was wearing a light blue frock and Damian was wearing a white shirt and black trousers. I just realised from these clothes that Trials of Love was a book based in 19 century England. So the clothes were like the ones from the 19 century. I walked inside the room and walked toward the director. "Grand Duke this is Damien and Anna," he announced gesturing for us to bow. I looked at Damian and followed him bowing. I looked up and saw that the grand duke was smirking at me. Even at the age of 45 the grand duke still looked handsome. The grand duke looked at us and nodded at the director. He led us out of the meeting room and stayed in to have a talk with the duke. We walked toward the playground and I saw Dylan and his gang. For these two weeks, I've been avoiding Dylan as I didn't want any conflicts but today he came up to me so I didn't really have a choice here.
"What's wrong?" I asked. Dylan sneered and replied, "I heard you're being adopted with Damian by that man inside,". Oh really? How did they know already? Rumours sure spread quick. I nodded however I wasn't sure whether or not he was adopting me. " Why does everyone take well to him? What do you all like about him?" Dylan asked. "He is just an ugly freak with silver hair and red eyes. Your just a devil. I heard before that you killed your own parents because the villagers thought you were a devil and they burned your house down. However, you didn't die but your parents did,". Oh yeah, I forgot that our male protagonist had such a history. I looked at him in pity. "Dylan watch your words. Just leave Damian alone. Someone once told me, to have even made someone's life better is already a success. Have you ever made anyone feel better? And besides Damian is not a freak. He's unique. everyone's unique in their own way," I explained. Hopefully, these words would knock some sense into him. Though I'm not quite sure it would.
Clap! Clap! I turned around to look at who clapped. It turns out to be the Grand Duke. Damian nudged me and I quickly bowed. He gestured for us to get up and he asked "Where did you learn that?". I don't remember. Wait didn't the king say that to Camilla when he sentenced Camilla to exile? " Sir, I think someone must have said that to me when I was younger but I don't remember who," I replied. Well since the King will say that Camilla so I'm technically not lying. "Wha's your name?" he asked me. "Anna. Anna Shuttleworth, Sir," I replied. "Do you remember how you came here?" he questioned. Anna doesn't know but I know because I read the book. The book only said that Camilla was left on the doorstep of this orphanage after she was stolen. "I don't remember sir," I replied. He looked at the director and muttered "I'll take her and the boy," the director looked so happy he hastily ordered someone to get the adoption papers. Was he in that much of a hurry to get rid of us? Well, Anna did have a horrible reputation. The papers were signed and tomorrow we would be sent away to live with the duke.
