Ethan's Decision

Liana was taken aback by Helena's statement. "What do you mean, Helena?"

"It's quite amusing how you declare your love for Ethan now after Ethan himself found out that you were involved with another man last night," mocked Helena. "You should have told my sweet husband from the beginning."

Liana shuddered. So, Ethan knew about what happened with Prince Maximilian?

"No one knows for sure, Helena. Don't accuse her based on mere hearsay," Ethan defended Liana, causing Helena to feel offended. "We need solid proof."

Helena stared sharply at Ethan, and they locked eyes. "How amusing... to see you defend her."

"Always presume innocence, right?" Ethan said again.

Helena sighed. "Fine. It's none of my business. I don't care."

Ethan then looked at Liana and said, "Liana, perhaps it's time for you to return to your room."

Liana nodded. "Ethan, whatever happens, believe that I love you."
