Chapter 14: A surprising Reunion

"Lucia?" the leader ruminated on this word for a moment. Lucy stood rigid between the leader and the door. Her fists were clenched in anticipation.

"We don't expect you to help for free. The Emperor is certain to remember your help here. It would open the door for better relations between our nations," Lucy quickly added.

"It could only be kept open for a short time," the leader said flatly, "How will you know where to find your friend?"

"Our wizard has a plan to find her quickly" Lucy gushed excitedly, "We'll bring men to fend off any Demon attacks in the meanwhile,"

"Very well," the leader returned, "I will make the arrangements,"

Lucy's eyes widened. She couldn't help but smile.

"Thank you! You won't regret it!"
