56 Under The Stars, On A Bed Of Flowers

A large stallion raced across the empty street until the city lights became nothing more than colorful dots.

Khan Bojing's arms wrapped around her protectively. She was enveloped in the warmth of his embrace. She didn't know where he wanted to take her. She didn't need to.

No matter where they went, as long as she was with him, she was at ease. Her trust in him was unshakable, even more than she trusted herself.

"Xiao Wei, are you scared?" He asked.

Li Wei shook her head. "How can I be when you're by my side?"

Hearing her sweet response, his lips curved into a charming smile. Soon, they arrived where he wanted to take her. He jumped off with ease and helped her down.

Li Wei's mouth was left slightly ajar at the scene. After they entered the forest, there was a clearing full of flowers. Under the moonlight, these flowers opened and bloomed. The white petals that uncurled at nighttime shone dazzlingly.

Her feet seemed to move on their own, walking at first then running towards the surreal sight in front of her eyes. His laughter gently followed behind, leaving her to do as she wished.

She ran around, as if chasing each flower from side to side. Her soft footsteps were random, powered through her sheer excitement.

Khan Bojing sat lazily on the grass, watching her figure blur with the wind. At this moment, he was not the crown prince of Hai'an. He was no more than an ordinary man spending time with the woman he loved.

Li Wei took out the ornaments from her hair, letting them fly loose. Her eyes that shone brighter than the stars glanced towards him. With a bewitching smile that left him breathless, she twirled as light as a peach blossom dancing in the wind as it fell down ever so enchantingly.

Her performance this morning during the tea gathering was full of sorrow, but her dance now was only of happiness and joy. Surrounded by an endless field of flowers, Li Wei seemed as if she was a flower goddess who had snuck out into the mortal world at midnight.

As her dress swirled, her smile turned into soft laughter. Li Wei felt as if such happiness was illegal to have. She could be fully contented by herself, but with him by her side, her happiness doubled. Tripled.

No, her happiness couldn't be measured anymore, for it could fill the sky.

She abruptly stopped and ran towards him. Khan Bojing caught her as she leapt into his arms. Her soft body that clung to him didn't move. "Xiao Wei? Are you hurt?"

Li Wei lifted up her face and smiled adorably. "Yebai, did you like it?"

Khan Bojing tried to focus. Really, he did. Because she was on top, the neckline of her dress teased him of what's hidden beneath. His eyes that were previously on her face moved downwards helplessly. "I like..."

Her eyes followed his eyes. "Khan Bojing!"

His eyes shamelessly remained still. "Xiao Wei, let me take a look."

"Don't fool around." She pulled back, ready to get away from his arms that wrapped tightly around her waist.

He refused to let her go so easily. Khan Bojing flipped her underneath him. His eyes met hers, not breaking contact for a moment when he spoke tenderly, "Xiao Wei, you were beautiful. In a field of flowers, you are the most beautiful."

At his sweet words, she couldn't bear to look at him. Her face felt hot and she shyly turned to the side.

Khan Bojing glanced at her exposed shoulders. He pondered for as second, "Eh, it's still there but it's not good enough. How about I do it again?"

The hickey he left last time was located just under her collarbone. In the past days, its color had changed from a deep red to light pink.

With her nod of consent, his lips met her skin. Li Wei giggled softly. "Yebai, it's ticklish."

Khan Bojing's eyes shone brightly as an idea hit him. Li Wei noticed the change in him and instantly covered her lips with her hands.

He chuckled lightly at those pair of round eyes staring back at him, silently teasing him. "What's that mind of yours thinking?"

Li Wei was sure she was now as bright as a tomato. She denied it. "Nothing."

"You didn't think I would ask you to do it on me, did you?"

She did.

She thought he would ask her to mark him, as he had done for her. Unknowingly, his guess landed straight on the target. However, there was no way she would admit it.

He fixed her shirt appropriately, then laid next to her. He watched her as she watched the stars. With her laying in his embrace, he was sure nothing else in the world was better.

"Xiao Wei, have you wondered why I like you?" He asked.

Her eyes moved from the stars to him. Li Wei nodded honestly. She was taken aback that he knew she was curious.

His voice was gentle and patient, as he confessed the deepest thoughts in his heart. "At the time, we parted under different circumstances. I once told you I couldn't be with you. That night, I realized something. I had never met someone so sure, someone so brave to chase what they wanted. If I didn't make the decisions in my life, how would I be happy in this life?"

"Everyone wanted something from me. They made their demand and left, but never for long, for they'd return with a bigger demand. You were different from those people. You never asked for something from me, all you did was gave me unconditional love."

"I have never been one to fall in love easily. At first, I was curious in you so I slowly made my way into your life. I deliberately went out of my way to see you. I was wrong. It was never me entering your life. Rather, it was you all along. Before I realize it, you had already entered my heart."

"Being with you made me brave. I started to fight for the things I loved, for those I loved. You inspired me to become better, to be the best version of myself. For the rest of our lives, all I need to see is that smile of yours and I can get through whatever comes my way."

"Xiao Wei, the flowers had never been so beautiful until I'm here with you. The stars above had never been so captivating until I watch it with you. My life had never been so colorful until you came."

Li Wei was on the brink of tears at his words. She snuggled closer against his chest, listening to his heartbeat. The Khan Bojing she knew had never been more open, more vulnerable, more sweet with her.

The way he loved her was just like him, gentle with a force nothing else could withstand. In his eyes, she was more precious than anything else. No, all he could see was her.

Nothing else existed.

Li Wei kissed him impatiently, crazily, as if they had separated for years. When his lips parted, her tongue delved in immediately. She wanted his breath, she wanted the sweetness inside his mouth. Whatever he had, she wanted it all.

The shy woman from earlier was gone. She had become a fox spirit, seducing him in the moonlight.

Her hands were on his hair, her hands were on his chest. Her body pressed him underneath. Before long, she had opened his shirt. His sun kissed bare chest was filled with nothing else but her strawberry colored kisses. Her determination, her love, and her desire to be with him was expressed through her affectionate actions.

Li Wei bit his lower lips and trailed her lips to his ears, "Yebai, cancel what you said that night. Let's do it."

So sinful, so tempting.

He dazedly glanced at her enticing appearance. Li Wei's eyes were clear and wide awake, assuring him she was very well aware of her words. Her hair was slightly messy from his touch, making her the more alluring. Her cherry red lips glistened with his saliva, a reminder that she had been his just now.

As they tangled earlier, her top had been pulled down. Her smooth and full breasts were almost exposed entirely. With a flick of his finger, those pink peaks would pop out.

The her in front of him had never been so wild before.

Khan Bojing gulped as he forced his eyes away. He considered himself a disciplined person. He didn't indulge in the pleasure of the bedroom as other men. If it was anyone else, he wouldn't give them a second glance.

But this was the woman he loved. How could he not want her? Countless times, he imagined them together like this. Many times, he thought of her indecently.

Suddenly, he realized his self control not as strong as he thought. At least not when it came to her.

After a long moment, Khan Bojing's conflicted eyes calmed. He reached out to fix her shirt, the second time tonight. Then, he pulled her into his arms.

He earnestly told her, "Xiao Wei, you have no idea how much I want you right now. If this were not our first time, I would take you here and now."

Li Wei's finger touched the red marks on his chest. He captured her hand and kissed it ever so tenderly. "But because you're the most precious to me, I don't want the memory of your first time to be on a flower bed. Because you're the woman I love, I want to give you only the best memories."

"Your willingness to give all of yourself to me, it touches my heart more than you know. Hearing you say you love me, being shown by your actions that you love me, nothing else can beat this feeling."

Before she could calm her drumming heart, a jade pendant dangled from his hands. Li Wei glanced at him, "Isn't this your identity stone?"

"En, do you remember what I told you when we first met?" He asked.

When they first met... Li Wei nodded. She would never forget any memories with him. "You said, the only way you'd give it to me is if I marry you."

"Then Xiao Wei, are you willing to marry me?"

His low voice whispered into her ears, but it was her heart that trembled. What did he just said?

Khan Bojing placed his forehead against hers, his eyes gazing into hers. His smile was bigger, brighter than ever before. His hopeful eyes waited patiently for her reply.

Contrary to his expectations, large teardrops began rolling down her cheeks. Khan Bojing wiped each teardrop away, trying his best to coax her. "What's wrong? Where is it hurting?"

"I'm just happy." Li Wei shook her head. The frown on his face slowly disappeared.

"Once we marry, I'll hold you to sleep every night. You'll wake up every day with me by your side." He paused and glanced at her, wanting to tease her a bit. She was unbearably cute when she was shy. "Of course, we'd roll on the bed too, in various positions..."

Although she suggested it earlier, she was still embarrassed to hear him say it. She hid her face in his chest. "Don't say it anymore."

He chuckled in amusement. "Xiao Wei, what do you say? Will you be my wife?"

At this question, her head propped up.

Their eyes met.

She replied to him from the deepest of her heart, "Whether it's in this lifetime or another lifetime, no matter which life we live, I'll only be yours."
