The Villain Who Dreamed

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be born into the most powerful clan and be the son of the strongest king in this era? Well, Marcus didn't have to imagine. He was born into a family where strength meant everything, but he had none. Instead of the life full of roses he was told he would have, he was told he had no magic in front of his father. He still had hope that he could be talented with a sword like his father, but to his dismay, the man who was trying to discover his talent laughed and said, "You have no talent with the sword either, but you do have talent in cultivation. In making pills..." Silence filled the room. Marcus knew he had talent in making pills to make others stronger, but his family already had people who did that, so he was just unneeded. Despite this, he just needed someone to love him, so he went on a journey to find a lover. Finally, he found someone who loved him and he loved her back, and they even started a family. By this point, Marcus was 25 years old, and his siblings had made names for themselves. Although he was unlucky, he was born into a great family and knew that others had less, so he couldn't complain. He decided to help the sick villagers in the village, but to his surprise, someone else was already helping them. It was one of the cadets to become king, known as the hero, who was most likely to succeed. Marcus, who wasn't even worthy to be in the line of succession, couldn't do much but walk away. He returned to his hut and noticed that his wife was gone. She had probably gone to gather herbs to help him make pills, so he went to the castle to meet his father, the king. On his way, he heard moaning and saw that his wife and sister were having sex. He screamed at the sight, but he couldn't do anything. His sister was many times stronger than him, even though she was younger. Feeling angry and helpless, he walked to the largest room in the castle where everyone in his family was waiting for him, except for his sister. To make matters worse, he was told that his own 5-year-old child wasn't even his. He felt like he had been slapped in the face. His son was sitting on his older brother, the only one who had been kind to him and who he loved. They said that his. At the age of five, your own son hit you and said that you were unworthy of him. This Is My Show

I walked towards the combat arena, wondering what I would do. Who knows, maybe I could even meet a good girl in this life.

Marcus thought that this life was so easy, and that if he played his cards right, he would be able to relax. All the quick growth and overpowered abilities were getting to him. It seemed like he was starting to develop a god complex, and that might screw him over someday. But not anytime today.

Let's see what Marcus is doing. Hmm... Marcus looked around to see what they were going to do. It had been a while since he had won a battle and he wanted to be looked on in shock and praise. So, he went up to the closest person he could find and said, "Hey, what are we doing?"

"Why are you even talking to me? I don't know, go ask the instructor," the girl replied in an annoyed tone.

Of course, this angered Marcus, but he held his tongue. So, he took her advice and walked up to the instructor.

"What are we doing?" Marcus asked in a not-so-kind tone.

As Marcus approached the instructor, he couldn't help but feel like he was in the presence of a legendary warrior from the medieval times. The instructor had a rugged and imposing appearance, with scars lining his face and muscular arms that suggested he had fought many battles.

Marcus saw a bit of himself in the instructor, a fierce and independent spirit that reminded him of his hero, Guts from the Berserk series. He knew that he had to keep his admiration in check, however, and not let his ego get the best of him.

"What are we doing?" Marcus asked in a not-so-kind tone, trying to maintain a sense of authority and dominance.

"You may want to watch your tone, young man," he said sternly. "I don't appreciate being spoken to like that. My name is not 'hey' or 'you'. It's Instructor Rolf, and you will address me as such."

Instructor Rolf took a moment to compose himself before continuing. "As for what we're doing, we're having a free for all. The rules are simple: the last person standing wins. There are no teams, no alliances, and no mercy. Anything goes as long as you don't break the rules."

He paused for a moment to let the information sink in. "Oh, and one more thing. If you break the rules or disrespect me or any of your fellow fighters, before the match you'll be disqualified and banned from the arena. Understood?"

Instructor Rolf's tone was firm, and his eyes bore into Marcus as if daring him to challenge the rules.

Instructor Rolf's words only seemed to embolden Marcus, and he took him up on the challenge. "And if I didn't follow your rules?" Marcus said with a smirk, letting Rolf know that he was willing to do whatever it takes to win this free for all. "What would happen then?"

Rolf's expression hardened at Marcus's defiance. "If you don't follow the rules, you'll be disqualified and banned from the arena," he repeated. "I won't tolerate any disrespect or unsportsmanlike conduct from any of the fighters here. Understood?"

But Marcus seemed unfazed by Rolf's warning. He had a point to prove, and he was determined to do it his way. "This is my show now," he said, his tone brimming with arrogance. "And I'm going to win this thing, whether you like the way I do it or not."

Marcus walked down to enter the arena, just like everyone else. He knew that Rolf was annoyed by his earlier comment, but Marcus didn't care. As Marcus approached the arena, Rolf's face twisted into an angry scowl. He thought to himself with a cold, menacing voice, "I dare you to challenge me." Rolf had seen many challengers come and go, and most of them didn't last very long. Meanwhile, Marcus was happy to see Rolf's angry face. He saw it as a sign of weakness, and he knew that he had to take advantage of it. He had already decided that he would do whatever it takes to win this free for all, even if it meant resorting to underhanded tactics like sex, money, drugs, or rape even threats. As Marcus stepped into the arena, he felt a rush of adrenaline. He was ready for anything that Rolf or the other fighters could throw at him. He was going to win this, no matter what it took.

"Begin!" Rolf roared.

The first person to move was Marcus. The arena began to change as Rolf's loud booming voice rang throughout the entire space. It had once been a simple arena, but now it resembled a forest.

"This is a free for all survival challenge. To win, you must set up a base, find clean drinking water, a source of food, and of course, be one of the last few standing!" Rolf's loud booming voice rang into the ears of everyone present.

Marcus knew that some of the fighters would start to fight each other the moment the challenge began. He needed to find shelter and food first and conserve his energy and resources. Marcus rushed to the other side of the forest as fast as he could. From what he could tell, that's where most of the food would be. However, he had to be careful because other smart competitors might also be heading there this was his show.

On his way, Marcus spotted a girl lying on a rock with her head bleeding. A sly smile crept across Marcus's face. What was he thinking?

"Sorry author here. I know I've been gone for a long time, but I am here to stay this time. I will update three times a week starting next week. This week, I will post one more time, and that will be on Friday. School's been a bit tough, but I try my best to update when I can. Now that I have some free time, I will update three times a week.

In the first five chapters, this story felt lighthearted and progressed quickly. However, I plan to make it a lot more cruel and gruesome. If you can't handle scenes like that, I suggest you watch something more lighthearted, like Fairy Tail.

Thank you to any readers who came back to read this chapter. Have a good day!"
